Porto Playa Condo Hotel and Beach Club

The room was huge, had a full kitchen, living room, bedroom and a bathroom with a jacuzzi, right downtown walking distance from everything. Pool was fun and hotel staff were friendly. Would come back anytime

Beautiful, spacious, and recently updated apartment. The kitchen is well stocked and we appreciated the in-unit washer/dryer. The rooftop space is a great feature, and the property feels very safe. The location, right next to 5th Avenue, is convenient and close to a wide variety of shopping and restaurants and active night life, although the property itself is surprisingly quiet. There is no onsite management and we had to walk about a block and a half to communicate with the management at a different resort. The "beach club" title is misleading as we found out it is only discounted access to a beachfront restaurant, nothing more, and not a free amenity. Our biggest issue was a ceiling leak in one of the bathrooms on the last night .The property did not communicate with us about the leak after our report, and made no effort to clean up the water puddles that rendered the bathroom unusable. I asked about it during checkout and was told that maintenance had applied a temporary fix (unbeknownst to us). I explained that it was leaking even more than the previous evening and I would think they would have at least attempted to clean up the puddles of water. I understand that issues happen, but the problem is how they handled the issue. We requested a partial refund due to the unusable state of the bathroom, but the hotel declined the request. Hotels.com did step and offer a credit on their platform despite lack of accountability from the property.

The apartment hotel offered a really comfortable and practical stay overall. While the decor felt a bit dated and could benefit from a refresh, the space more than made up for it. The apartment was generously sized, giving us plenty of room to relax without ever feeling cramped. It was well-equipped—everything you could possibly need was there. The amenities were a definite highlight, especially the heated main pool, which was perfect for unwinding. We loved the location - just off 5th avenue yet a short walk to the beach. It is worth noting there is no reception on site - but it's only a 5 min walk away, based in another hotel and they were very helpful. Overall, despite the slightly old-fashioned decor, the comfort, space, location and facilities made this a very enjoyable stay and a great option for anyone looking for a well-equipped apartment hotel.

Very old ...needs renovation asap

We had booked 2 reservations as our flights got changed and they were able to connect our stays so that we could stay in the same room. The condo was spacious and had everything we needed. Complete fridge, all the toiletries etc. The only suggestion is to maybe offer a few different thickness of pillows. Our were all very THICK.
