The hotel is in desperate need of renovation. The carpets are worn, stained & looks like burn marks. Better regular cleaning as well... the trash cans were overflowing during the breakfast time, had to ask for coffee to be refilled. Pancake machine didn't work. The cinnamon rolls tasted very fresh. The night clerk, Ulisses, was the absolute best! Very friendly, kind & welcoming. He made our stay!

Cons: Located in an industrial area. Lobby snacks available for purchase are at inflated prices. The pool is very small. Elevator is small and there’s only 1. Room has a mini fridge but no microwave. Outlets have usb slots but they didn’t work. Pros: Less than 5 minute drive to restaurants. Family friendly. Clean. Quiet. Great breakfast with variety. Complimentary toiletries are nice.

Booked in advance. Checked in and was hit with a $100 security deposit, which was not mentioned on my reservation. In our first given room the toilet did not work and made sure I switched room just to avoid the fix coming out of my $100 deposit! Second room….the inside lock hinge and the electric curtains did not work. It was late and I just Let the front desk know and to keep record. Place under construction and the front desk attendant did let me know in advance that cars do get stolen there.

The whole place is a construction zone, dirty, noisy, shabby, broken receptacles, etc. The carpets leave your feet black. Should not be charging such prices for staying here while all the renovations are going on.

Front staff personal was very friendly and accommodating. Our room bed sheets were not clean, had hair on pillow cases and sheets were not tidy. The shower stall also had hair in it. Front staff provided a different room which was cleaner.

Place was dirty. Yes, I did check in at 10pm, but that shouldn’t be the reason the floor in the lobby was so dirty. Then we get in the elevator and there was food someone dropped in there and again floor needed to be mopped. Food had been there for a while since my sister also stayed and they checked in about 1 hour in a half earlier than us. Walk into the room and the carpet is stained and filthy. Comforters also had stains on them. Just dirty and I definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

Staff was friendly however that hotel was very dirty! Lacks cleanliness they stop serving food early, they only had pancakes and coffee 30 minutes prior to 0930. Bath tub was disgusting floors were disgusting fixtures were broken. Haven’t stayed in a such a dirty Holiday Inn ever!

There were black hairs in the bed. Called the front desk which seemed annoyed and they brought up sheets which I changed myself. The front desk person was clearly overwhelmed but when I’m paying 170 plus dollars I at least want clean sheets. The room smelled like mold. It was less than one star all around

The staff was incredibly helpful. I was impressed with Raquel at the front desk. I got a little turned around, when driving to hotel, even w/GPS. I called hotel and Raquel stayed on the phone with me, to guide me and make sure I made it to the hotel safely. I found that very impressive and professional. I got nothing but sweet smiles from the entire staff! I felt safe during my stay. The only complaint is I was woken up at 7am buy the woman next door moaning and groaning for 40 minutes! It was disrespectful and uncomfortable! I had to turn on the TV as loud as possible. I was on the 1st floor and the couple were next door. Nothing to do with the staff at the hotel, but the walls are a little thin.

I booked connecting rooms but upon check in they said they were sold out. One room did not have power to half of the room, the bathroom door did not close properly and if you did close it, it would pop really loud when you would try to open it. The other room had a bad card reader and we couldnt get in so they ended up moving half of my family to a another room on a different floor. The hotel is outdated and in need of serious repairs. Would not stay here even if they ugraded the place. It is in a sketchy area and only one small slow elevator.

We had a standard 2 queen size bedroom and it was a good size. Our stay was quiet and pleasant. I like the free continental breakfast and easy free parking unlike some hotels in downtown. Overall it was good besides the slow draining sink in the bathroom.

The location is relatively far from San Diego itself and honestly closer to Tijuana if anything. The staff was courteous and attentive but didn't seem willing to go out of their way to make it a remarkable experience. There was a strip of wallpaper gone in the bathroom of my room which opens the possibility of mold growth in the future and the breakfast area was constantly dirty. The bed was at least comfortable and the room was well maintained.

In the room next to ours there was a fight that went on for hours. this included kicking on the room door and yelling in the hallway. I made a complaint with the front desk at 100 am asking them to take care of the problem. The person working the desk informed me that they had received multiple complaints already and they were trying to get it taken care. to say the least no sleep for the entire night!

The rooms were actually really nice and modern and pretty clean for the most part. However, there were issues with the toilet (wouldn’t always flush) and the check in process was a nightmare. Only one person working and they were on the phone for 15-20 minutes at a time assisting customers who couldn’t find their reservations so a simple check in took nearly 25 minutes.

We waited for about 20 minutes to check in. We had to walk around to find a staff member to have another person check us in. Housekeeping was sitting in the room behind the reception desk eating their lunch when we arrived and did not help us when we asked if they could have someone check us in.

Check in- guy was in the back-clearly watching a boxing match on tv and made us wait. We could hear the whole thing. When we asked for towels (our room was for 5 people but there were only two towels) he was really put out. Website pictures didn’t match the reservation I got.

The stay was really nice and the staff were great. I only rated it as good because breakfast ended at 9:30 on a Sunday. It should have been at least til 11am. So we missed breakfast and that was part of the reason why we picked the restaurant.

The pool and deck were dirty. Our feet were black. The TV in our room didn't work. The dinning area ran out of foid several times, no cups and trash was full/overflowing. Above leaving there was a rat in the overflowing trash can by front door

The motel is fairly close to the Cross Border Express. The guy working the night shift, and the girl at the desk in the morning, were friendly and professional. The bed was excellent, and the room well equipped. The included breakfast has everything.
