The food was all really nice, rooms could be better, with small changes like additional sockets near the bed and usb sockets for charging phones etc. but I can't fault the staff or the quality of the food. Food & drinks prices were reasonable the breakfasts were good quality and plentiful, dinner had a great selection of options and all generous portions. The bar and restaurant staff were all pleasant and keen to interact with the guests. So in summary change some sockets to usb sockets and you have a solid 10/10 from me.

This was the first hotel of seven we stayed at on a two week tour of the North and Scotland. And to be honest, it was one of the best. The staff were great, especially Julia in the bar/restaurant. The food was good, it was good value and we were able to park our car right outside our room, which made unpacking and packing easy. Overall, an excellent stay. Thank you.

From start to finish, our 2 day stay was exceptional. Could not fault anything. All the staff that we had contact with were both friendly and professional. The food, of which we had breakfast, evening meal and afternoon tea was beyond our expectations. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious and served in a timely manner. As they say on a popular TV programme, Would you stay here again? Absolutely Yes.

Perfectly located for Beamish Museum, good breakfast, range of hot options to order and the loveliest morning waitress. Good clean hotel and the rooms with the car space access was perfect.
