Quirky hotel with fun decor, that’s about where it stops…an ok experience for a fairly expensive price , the restaurant /bar seemed closed the whole time we were there. Road really noisy , you’d think the designers would have installed decent glazing to block this out as it’s on the main road. Glad we tried this place but won’t return

There is currently a huge construction project next door, but they must have high quality sound resistant windows as I had to look outside to see if work had started Monday morning. June 2024 The obvious restaurant associated with the building (ground floor, corner of building) Magenta is closed until 2025 according to a sign, but from the first floor of the hotel you can get into an Italian restaurant that has a variety of offerings in the morning. What we had was very good.

This is an interesting property. Not your typical boring decor. We had a corner room which was large and spacious. If you’re looking for quiet, this may not be your best choice, at least not the corner room we had. But it is on a bustling city street so no blame on the property there. Very convenient to the London Underground station (King’s Cross of Harry Potter fame to be exact) and Eurostar high speed trains to Paris, Brussels and more. Day trip to Paris by rail with a late night return made the convenience of this hotel particularly nice. 15 minutes from disembarking to head on a pillow. Only complaint I had was the bar was not operating on a schedule that matched ours. Otherwise, this is a winner.

The Megaro does not deserve the 5-star rating associated with the hotel. Although the staff were very pleasant, the hotel looks tired, including worn and stained carpeting, and needs general renovations and updating throughout. The restaurant and bar were closed 2 days a week, the laundry service was way of a 'voucher' (no laundry/dry-cleaning bags in the room etc), there was no room service available, 1 small elevator to service all guests... the list goes on. The hotel gutter drains had spilled water onto the path outside, which had frozen, causing pedestrians and guests to slip... but no salt was placed on the ice. There are simply better hotels in the area for a better price.

Great staff, good size rooms with good decor. It could have used a bar that was open late and the coffee machine did not work. 95% and a great location close to two major stations for tube and rail and Coal Drops District which has a nice vibe and good places to eat and drink.

First room was musty and dirty, after a request for another room, I was given one without carpets. The sheets weren't clean, rooms generally not maintained, soap scum in showers and sink, not well vacuumed and rooms are tired. Not representative of photos. Also the AC was not working in the whole hotel, so had to open windows for ventilation, as a result, noisy due to being across from St Pancras. 3 star hotel at best due to lack of maintenance.

I used to stay at this hotel a lot when it first opened but then the price rocketed up and I didn’t feel it was good value (noisy rooms, mouldy bathroom fittings etc). I thought I’d try again in January when the price was much lower than normal but I won’t be staying again. Absolutely hilarious that this is rated 5 stars. Uncomfortable bed, in a room that looks like it was furnished from ikea. My room had a broken window facing a building site that was making noise from 7am. The final slap in the face was one of the worst showers I’ve had in any hotel from 20 years of business travel. Low water pressure and a silly multi function spray thing that might have seemed luxurious for about 30 seconds in 2005. The shower unit was barely hanging on the wall. You can tell a good 5* or luxurious hotel when you don’t want to leave but I was happy to check out of the Megaro. Such a shame, I really hope a proper operator buys it in the future and spends some money on the rooms and then I might return

There were large areas of mold in the shower. When I checked out, I showed the manager photos of the mold and he said I would be hearing back from him. I never did hear back from him. The floor was uneven with some gaps in the flooring. The room furnishings were rundown.The corridors of the hotel were very narrow and the lobby was tiny. The hotel was advertised as luxurious, but I disagree. I paid just under $300 USD for my room.

I stayed one night at the hotel, and hotel charged me 3 nights and I was told it's their policy. Please read all the reviews under 3 stars before you book this hotel, from my experience, these reviews are true, I am regretted I didn't read bad reviews carefully. The hotel has big problem about sanitary, bed sheet made me itchy for a few days, and due to the location near King's cross railway station, it was still very noisy until 2am the night I stayed, I only slept 3 hours the whole night. And bathroom has drainage issues, water didn't go down, just 3 mins shower, water flooded almost the whole bathroom. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. I would say this is about 2 stars hotel instead of 5 stars hotel. I have a feeling staff were self aware about clients complains and the issues this hotel had, they were trying to get around the issues or apologies to clients. I felt really bad to quite my stay, not only I lost $700, but also I could feel they wanted clients to stay hardly. Dining not good either, very overpriced.

Highly depentent on which room you get. Got to switch but the first room smelled like mold, had moths flying around and the carpet was torn (room 206). The new room was good (211). My colleagues living by the main street said that it was very noisy.

Quirky hotel in a great location for access to kings cross and st pancras stations. Nice personal touches with the free mini bar items. Only downside is the road noise outside. But it is a busy part of London. Just bear in mind when booking.

Nice hotel, great location, quirky, cool, Kings Cross tube outside, but rooms are small and the outside noise from traffic and sirens went on all night. Old type sash windows did near nothing to prevent dreadful noise. My young son and I did not sleep all night…

Unfortunately the air con did not work in the room and the alternative room I was offered also did not have working air con. The room was very warm and I had a poor nights sleep. In addition the venue tried to charge for my room despite paying prior. Resolved when I produced the payment receipt.

Great location for Eurostar Aircon not working. If the weather was a bit colder/ warmer, we couldn’t sleep. Since we arrived very late, ended up staying in the hotel less than 8 hrs and it was not very hot, we managed. But, not worth the risk.

We stayed in the junior suite which is spacious for the 3 of us. Free minibar items everyday. Location across from King's Cross and St. Pancras Stations is fantastic with access to multiple subway lines. British Museum is about a 25 minutes walk away.

We stayed here once before so that we would have easy access to Kings Cross Station (right across the street). During our first stay our room faced a side street. This time we had a room facing Kings Cross (and St. Pancras). Not great. The noise level was considerably higher. We had to wear ear plugs all night. It is a great location and a very nice property, but I would not want a room facing the stations. The onsite restaurant is well worth a visit.

A nice hotel but the room was so dark as to be dangerous- no lighting by the kettle and coffee machine meant a serious danger of being burnt, could not see to operate the coffee machine. Unable todo make up etc as just too dark Very unsatisfactory and very dangerous all intbename of style

We've tried a few hotels around St Pancras and find this is the best value for money. Rooms are larger than average for London, beds super comfy. You do get quite a lot of traffic noise and the building site next to it starts early but for a one night stop it's fine. Breakfast is not worth the amount they charge, plenty of other places you can get it.

Such a quiet hotel. Amazing considering you can see kings.cross from the windows. Staff are friendly and helpful, i was 90mins early for checkin but they let me in anyway. The reception area is amazing steampunk/art deco, best reception ever. Room was huge! Great stay and great nights sleep, would definitely stay here again and think itd one of the best hotels i have stayed in. Location is fab, literally 4 mins walk to Eurostar check jn desk

Absolutely perfect location for easy access to all major underground tube stops, the train station, and direct trains to Heathrow. The hotel is wonderful and exceptionally quiet for being in such a busy area. We had a small problem with our room on the last night of the stay through no fault of the hotel. But the staff were very quick to make it right and upgraded us immediately to another room. Exceptional service!!! Wonderful value as well. Will definitely be staying here again.

Stayed here on 2 separate nights as we were travelling around Europe by train. Location of hotel was spot on for the start and finish of our trip on the Eurostar. Very clean hotel and very friendly staff. Would recommend this hotel for anyone travelling and looking for a handy hotel for Charing Cross and King's Cross

For those traversing the north of England through to Europe this is a great hotel nestled between Kings Cross and St Pancras. Very welcoming staff and individual rooms .. well worth a try. You may get a little lost at first (especially finding the bar) but persevere as worth it.

The location was great. It is right across the street from King’s Cross & St Pancras stations.This not only provides multiple underground routes but also trains through the UK and on Eurostar to Paris, Amsterdam and other parts of Europe. The rooms are nice with a unique decor. The price is also reasonable. We stayed 5 days and enjoyed it. Only downside was construction next door, but at least they didn’t start until after 8 am.

Loved the hotel and all the amenities. The theme of our room was fun and well designed. The breakfast included was top notch. We ate like Kings and Queens. Close to subway and major train stations. Lots of places to eat around the area. You will not be disappointed with your choice of this hotel.

We've tried a few hotels around St Pancras and find this is the best value for money. Rooms are larger than average for London, beds super comfy. You do get quite a lot of traffic noise and the building site next to it starts early but for a one night stop it's fine. Breakfast is not worth the amount they charge, plenty of other places you can get it.

Hotel is conveniently located across from St. Pancras train station. Front desk was helpful and accommodating when there was an issue with one of our rooms. At the moment, the lot next door is under construction causing some daytime noise. If you choose the breakfast included option, be aware it is in the hotel's restaurant and is sit down/order from a menu style. One morning the restaurant was very understaffed thus we had to leave after 45 minutes to make it to a tour without getting our breakfast.
