Lost Guest House Stirling

Not a lot of parking available. Bed was uncomfortable and the shower didn't have much pressure.

Small room with a twin bed, but as a solo traveller that was fine for me. Would love to have had a luggage stand so that I could easily access my bag instead of having to put it on the floor or on the bed. The spot is close to downtown Stirling and about a 20 minute walk to Stirling Castle and does offer parking making it a great spot to stay if you want access to those things and not to have to worry about driving to those things. There’s a couple of great coffee shops, breakfast options and as well it looks like a couple of great pubs, with a short walk from the bed and breakfast. My biggest frustration was with the shower when the water pressure is pretty low in about two minutes and you lose your hot water so you go from warm or hot water to freezing cold and then you have to allow the unit to warm back up again. The other thing is, there’s absolutely nowhere to place your toiletries in the area of the shower. So you just have to set them on the floor. A little shelf in the shower would be very useful!

Place had plenty of parking and was close tontown.

It was very difficult to find the correct road to obtain access to the hotel. The street signs are not clear if it’s a road or sidewalk. The room was very spacious with enough beds. It would have been nicer to have more windows to open and cool off the room. Or at least a cooling fan to cool off with.

Parking was right there on the property. A few minutes walk into town.

Close to the old town of Stirling. Highly walkable to restaurants, stores and the castle which is uphill. No charge parking a bonus.

The property is getting run down (very lumpy bed, tiles falling off the wall, sink plug not operable, etc.) The staff is nice and location reasonably close if you are a good walker. No elevator and we had heavy suitcases!

Great location, friendly staff, old building but it is decently maintained. Parking can be tricky. It would have been nice if a small fan was provided for the room. There is no air conditioning, so if there isn't a nice breeze the room could get stuffy even with the window open. Gps doesn't do a great job getting you to the access road for the property, so you may circle the block if you miss it like we did. Overall, lovely and would stay there again if visiting Stirling.

The only issue i had was a big drop of blood on my bed. That was very unprofessional and very untidy. They did change it for me. But they should have checked it at first place. The staff were very helpful and friendly. No other issues other than this.

Hotel outdated. Shower didn’t work or look very clean. I was just staying for a night out so wasn’t that fussed but defo wouldn’t take the wife. Was a convenient location though.

Booked last-minute as our previous accommodation was cancelled. Pleasantly surprised by the condition of the room. Very clean and had everything we could have needed.

The guest house was OK, but not the cleanest. The bathroom could have been cleaner. Walking in, the place had an unpleasant smell. Probably because someone was drying out their laundry on the radiator in the hallway. Not something that a hotel should permit! The bed had no fitted sheet, just a flat sheet over the mattress cover and a duvet. I hope the duvet covers get washed between guests... The staff were good and the breakfast was good for the price.

Easy check in. Very small room and bed (which admittedly I'd chosen) but for a taller than average person it made sleeping and showering difficult. Otherwise no issues. Clean, warm and surprisingly quiet given location and it being a Saturday night.

There were clearly bodily fluids left dried into permanent stains (including blood) on the curtains, carpet, walls, and bed frame. The towels were also not particularly clean either.

The staff are a little like something out of The League of Gentlemen, which we found amusing but others might find confronting, and overall our stay was marred by the tiniest bed in the world and the not-quite-warm dribble that was the shower, with its mildewy shower curtain. Our room was tiny and had a view of another window and a stretch of roof with some rubbish on it. The rooms also have the thinnest walls imaginable and we spent quite a bit of the early hours of the morning listening to the couple next door having lots of moany sex (good for them, not so great for a good sleep) and then bathing and calling out to each other across the room for an hour. Like, we could hear absolutely everything. Also, when we asked to have our luggage stored after checkout, it was stored in a toilet down a hallway that anyone could have walked into. The condition of the hallways is pretty shabby and stained, but the room itself was clean enough and the heating worked. There was no hair dryer in the room, but you could get one if you asked at reception. And the hotel listing says it has a laundry, but nooope. It really doesn't. Overall, we really wished we'd paid the ten pounds extra to go to the other hotel we'd been considering.

Great location , Very dated and need off some tlc . Shower didn’t have hot water

Only down side was no water pressure in the shower. Just a dribble came out. Everything else was lovely.

The experience was just overnight but the staff and property were lovely. The room was enormous and the shower was equally as big. The room was very clean it was convenient and in a wonderful location close to facilities. The bed was needing a new mattress it was lumpy and uneven in places but otherwise it’s a lovely place to stay overall.

I liked the building and loved the breakfast and options for the price ***** only thing that annoyed me was the showet don't get me wrong showet itself and bathroom eas nee and lovely however sadly there was a problems with was the shower poor water pressure prevented an enjoyable shower

Ally at the front desk did a amazing job getting us settled and sorted out. Wonderful lady

The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful since we arrived late. She stayed up late waiting for us and even hauled my luggage up to the room.

We enjoyed a very friendly welcome and felt valued as a customers. Our room was ready prior to check in time, and we were able to park,so that was even better! This added to the convenience of being within walking distance to the shopping and historical areas, making for an enjoyable stay.

Good value B&B for a short stay. Breakfast is a good value. Staff is helpful and friendly. Room was small, but met our needs.

This bed and breakfast was wonderful. The check-in was super, the room was lovely, and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. We would love to stay here again.

We arrived and no one was there to welcome us. We hit every button we could find but no one responded. We were there before 8 pm. We waited around for about 15 minutes then left and found another place down the road.

Parking was great, room was comfortable and spacious for three adults. Huge bathtub and shower in private ensuite. Hosts were fantastic, helpful and friendly. Excellent cooked breakfast for a modest 8GBP. Very close to town and in a very pretty area.
