We were here for a cheer competition, the poor front desk worker was all by herself, the company should’ve known and planned in advance. The line to check in and out was long, but the worker was polite. We also weren’t told that the pool was out of service until check in.

The restaurant is “currently closed” so do not pay for a dinner or breakfast option as you will not receive a reduced rate when you check in and they tell you that all amenities are unavailable. Pool is “currently closed.” Parking is “at your own risk.” Hotel is very near airport and airplanes taking off and landing will rattle the windows at all hours and during the night. Hotel looks very run down, stains on carpeting, peeling wall paper, cracks in sinks, toilets that make loud racket when flushing. Odd odor of cat urine in room possible from water damage in walls, carpeting, and ceiling. You have to run the A/C at full blast or room becomes unbearably humid adding to odor. Elevator is hot and humid and wreaks of marijuana, as well as hallways. The bathroom jn the room appeared clean though also had an odd odor. Staff is pleasant enough but some will act inconvenienced when you want to check in or check out.

Wonderful hotel, friendly staff, and excellent shuttle service to and from the airport. The restaurant in the hotel was a terrific surprise - just an amazing place to eat, good food and reasonable prices.

Very dated, stains on carpet in teh room and common areas. The attached resturant was awful. We had buffalo wings They were microwaved I guessing with ice on them because the plate had an !/4" water on it and the chicken was raw in the center. Work out room was not much better Water cooler with missing bottle of water attached and it looked like it had been that way from a long time. In the lobby they had a container of ice water and the the nozzle was broken on it. Beside it was coffee creamer and sugar but no coffee container

The staff here was nice enough and helpful, but the pool was under construction and they don\'t offer free breakfast like the other Holiday Inns. And on top of that my car was broken into the first night we stayed with them. When we asked if they had security cameras pointed to the parking area they said no. Honestly should of known something was off when I saw the "Park at your own risk" signs

Kentucky Derby 2025 After reviewing many hotels, I stayed at this Holiday Inn and was not disappointed. Upon arrival,l I noticed a wonderful gift from the hotel of 2 insulated cups and chocolates. Shuttles: -Airport - there is a shuttle to and from the airport; however,r it's important to note that you must make the staff aware of your pickup time from the airport to receive a pickup on arrival Kentucky Derby - There is a shuttle that goes from the hotel to the Expo center where you hop on another shuttle that takes you directly to Churchill Downs. For pickup you'll need to call to find out where shuttle pickup is. I waited for a while in lot G after the Derby but ended up grabbing an uber as it was cold and rainy and I had no way of contacting the shuttle driver directly to find out which lot they'd be picking up from. Store - there is a store inside the hotel with candy and snacks for purchase Bar - open in evening. Staff - friendly and helpful Restaurants nearby -Arbys, El Nopal (Mexican food) and and Italian restaurant in walking distance from the hotel. El Nopal had fantastic service and decent food and margaritas - I went there twice. Gas station - also in close walking distance. I went there to ATM before race day and grab a jug of water for my room. this was before I realized there was a store inside the hotel.

The room felt dirty, carpeting was gross, our door lock didn’t work (so we only had the metal flip thing at the top). Another family we were with had to leave and stay elsewhere due to bed bugs in their room! Coffee was empty at breakfast. And to add to the no coffee, breakfast was NOT included…so $12 breakfast with no coffee. Overall, wouldn’t stay here again.

The staff didn't even look up to check us in. Then they failed to tell me there was a $75 charge for incidentals. The room was old but clean. The bed was sunken in the middle. It was close to the football stadium so that made it worth it.

Had to change rooms multiple times for a 1 night stay. First room was freezing, unit not functioning properly, no heat. First told no other rooms available but was moved across the hall. In that room the toilet did not flush and couldn’t call down to desk on room phone. Finally moved to third room. That toilet was loud and seemed to be having some issues but did flush. At that point was just ready to turn in for the night so we could get an early start for our scheduled doctor appointments. We will not be booking any future stays there.

Carpet in rooms had many tears and I'm not even sure a cleaning could save some of it. Everything furniture wise was pretty worn. The lobby is clean and nice, staff was friendly and welcoming. It's a solid place to stay for a night or two

The front desk staff was amazing. The room for being a highly regarded hotel was subpar. #319 was supposed to have a mini fridge and freezer, had no freezer. The room also did not have a fully functional television and it was not even the T.V. that was supposed to be in there. The sound would not work and it was from room #330. The T.V. is a must have when traveling with young kids. The staff tried to get it working for us but we're unable. I was able to work out a deal, but shouldn't have had to. If the staff wasn't as awesome as they were, this would've been a 1or 2 star experience.

The lobby area has undergone renovations and generally look clean and nice. The check-in process took too long. The front desk person was not available to check me in when I first arrived. Waited for them. Then, the check-in itself seemed to take longer then expected given that I had made the reservations on Expedia. There was no line so it was not busy. The bathroom had no Kleenex - box was empty. Also the door did not unlock when I tried to use it. I tried 3 times, going down to the front desk to get a new key each time, before the front desk clerk had to come and let me in. The next morning, before leaving my room, I check again to see if the key the front desk clerk had used worked - nope, didn't work again, so rather than deal with most likely being locked out again, I just stayed in my room til check out time. The second time I went down b/c the key wasn't working, the front desk clerk checked in their notebook and there was a note that the room I was staying had a door lock that wasn't working. But the notebook also included an entry that said it had been fixed. Apparently that wasn't the case. The hotel didn't seem that full so not sure why they would put me in a room that had a known lock issue. Overall, staff was polite and friendly. I was given a free breakfast for my inconvenience. I would have preferred to just have a working lock.

Property is in a great location. Main areas such as lobby and restaurant are well maintained and seem updated. Only complaint about this hotel is the rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade. The beds are VERY comfortable which is one of the reasons we stay here, but the rooms need new carpet and tile in the bathrooms. This stay, there was a big stain in the corner of my room. Staff is friendly!!

I called days before arrival to ask for early check in, Due to a football game at 4 PM, was told to call back at noon the day of, I called and was then told No check in until 3 pm. I arrived at 12:30 PM the parking lot had only a few cars, we walked in and ask again for an early check in and was told 3 PM. We sat in the lobby for hours, surrounded by gnats, while no one walked out of the hotel and a few came in and sat and waited with me. we watched while the desk clerk was watching videos on her phone and we could hear it. Finally got to put our luggage in the room and make it to the game in time. I have stayed in many hotels in the area and never had to wait that late. After arriving to the room, the door was closed but not completely which was a bit scary, thank goodness my husband was with me this trip. Coming back from the game we could not use 1 of the 2 elevators due to water in the floor leaking from the ceiling of the elevator? Was not even raining outside. No bottles of water in the room to make coffee. The window unit was loud and ran most of the night, door to the door you could see light all the way around it, I was afraid all night that someone could easily come in.

The hotel is good for the value. I was disappointed when shortly after checkin I was locked out of my room because neither key would work. It took them about an hour to get the door open by overriding the system with a machine. The whole time my daughter and I were sitting on the floor outside our room after an 11 hour drive. We received no apology from the manager or even acknowledgement for the inconvenience.

Fitness center needs updating. Front desk staff not very engaging. Asked for suggestions of interesting places to go to lunch. No suggestions. One young man actually laughed and said Arby’s . Tracy in the bar and the other lady working with her Wednesday night were great!!!! So engaging and welcoming. Great service!

The staff didn't even look up to check us in. Then they failed to tell me there was a $75 charge for incidentals. The room was old but clean. The bed was sunken in the middle. It was close to the football stadium so that made it worth it.

The hotel staff and facility are fine if you just need a place to stay. I was confused on the extra fee that I paid for breakfast, because it wasn't explained very well how it works. I ended up not eating breakfast there, so that was a waste of my money. Plus, most hotels just have a free continental breakfast, and that would have been just fine. There is nothing in walking distance, so the fact that the bar didn't open after he told us it would, was disappointing. I do like that they have the large bottles of soap in the shower that are attached to the wall. So, it had its pros and cons, but overall, a nice place to stay the night.

The restaurant is “currently closed” so do not pay for a dinner or breakfast option as you will not receive a reduced rate when you check in and they tell you that all amenities are unavailable. Pool is “currently closed.” Parking is “at your own risk.” Hotel is very near airport and airplanes taking off and landing will rattle the windows at all hours and during the night. Hotel looks very run down, stains on carpeting, peeling wall paper, cracks in sinks, toilets that make loud racket when flushing. Odd odor of cat urine in room possible from water damage in walls, carpeting, and ceiling. You have to run the A/C at full blast or room becomes unbearably humid adding to odor. Elevator is hot and humid and wreaks of marijuana, as well as hallways. The bathroom jn the room appeared clean though also had an odd odor. Staff is pleasant enough but some will act inconvenienced when you want to check in or check out.

Very dated, stains on carpet in teh room and common areas. The attached resturant was awful. We had buffalo wings They were microwaved I guessing with ice on them because the plate had an !/4" water on it and the chicken was raw in the center. Work out room was not much better Water cooler with missing bottle of water attached and it looked like it had been that way from a long time. In the lobby they had a container of ice water and the the nozzle was broken on it. Beside it was coffee creamer and sugar but no coffee container

The room felt dirty, carpeting was gross, our door lock didn’t work (so we only had the metal flip thing at the top). Another family we were with had to leave and stay elsewhere due to bed bugs in their room! Coffee was empty at breakfast. And to add to the no coffee, breakfast was NOT included…so $12 breakfast with no coffee. Overall, wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel is very clean and enjoyable our check in person Earnest and he was very nice the only problem we had we was told a complimentary breakfast and the next day we found out it was a 12.95 buffet which we did not know until they gave us the bill we would have not eaten there. They should at least have a sign up before you go into the restaurant area letting people know there is a charge for the breakfast but like I said we even ask the night before and said they was not going to start charging until the next week

Very nice accommodations. Perfect location (we were in Louisville for the National Archery Tournament). Clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were a little disappointed with the resturant. It didn't open on Wednesday evening at the posted time and the breakfast was overpriced for the quality of food offered.

The room was clean but did have a mildew smell. We were there for a basketball tournament and finding another hotel wasn’t in the cards although I did look for one. The staff was really nice and the AC was good! We did report that the air vent in the bathroom needed to be secured and were informed that the whole property was going to be renovated in October 2026.

Took us 5 different rooms to get one. 1st they put us on the wrong floor without our team. Next room had no air then the 3 other rooms doors didn’t lock, you could have just walked right in! I just ask them to put us back our first room because our 3 youngest kids and hauling luggage was just overwhelming. The pool was closed and had been for a week prior, no one called and let us know so we could find somewhere else since we were there for a basketball tournament. The luggage carts are falling apart.
