The balcony was great, the apartment concept and not just a hotel room was perfect, the parking was fantastic, great location, and very nice service. The only thing that disappointed was the hot tub out of service, but the pool was great and they are very clean.

Check in was good and early. The personnel at the front desk was professional and helpful. The facility charges a resort fee which isn’t warranted. There are few amenities to enjoy. The room is outdated with a loud in window air conditioning unit. It feels more like a roadside hotel than resort.

We were very happy that they were able to accommodate us on short notice. Easy walk to the beach food and shopping. The only downside was the ice machine and one of their three hot tubs was closed for repairs. (Apparently they had a guest that decided to not be a nice guest the night before) The staff was very nice and it was a great place to spend our unexpected extra night in kauai.

Professional staff, proficient no hassle check in and out, pleasant hospitality. Muti-complex are two story high, peaceful along highway 50.The suite is spacious for a family like our, 4 and then some comfortable furniture, very cleanly. In addition, 3 pools and 2 hot tubs. Win win

Nice, clean, well-maintained property in the Wailua area, Plantation Hale Suites is located near Kapa'a and about 15-20 min from the airport. There are a number of restaurants and food places nearby, and the Suites are a five-minute walk to the beach. The Suites have pools, BBQ areas, and laundry facilities. The only "bad" thing about my stay is that the suite was not ready at the check-in time of 4:00pm; otherwise, I liked this property and would most likely stay there again.

Nice place. Enjoyed our stay there. Only issues were unnecessarily complicated wi-fi that ended up not working after someone came to our room to help get us set up and a laundry facility that required an unpleasant app.

The property was clean - but we weren't crazy about the SUPER LOUD AC unit only in the bedroom, other rooms were hot. The AC never turned off, which made it hard to sleep. We alao were Very disappointed in the pool/ hot tub areas. The night we wanted to enjoy the hot tub, it was full of about 15 children. So we moved on to the next pool area & that hot tub was out of service. SO DISAPPOINTING

I wouldn’t say the stay was terrible. We had fun swimming in the pool and using the hot tub. The facility is worn down and had a little bit of a musty smell, and we had a cockroach in the bathroom. People at front desk were kinda nice.

The location and overall stay were pleasant, but the cleanliness upon arrival was very disappointing. We rented two condos, and neither appeared to have been properly cleaned. In one bathroom we found used soap, pubic hair, and a bathing suit left behind, and both kitchens were messy and dirty. It appeared that only the sheets and towels had been changed. Cleanliness standards need significant improvement.

The place was not as advertised! Our room was so disgusting and dirty. It was a motel and completely not worth the price you pay. Our room including the living room had carpet that was so dirty with stains. The tiles in the kitchen and bathroom were dirty including the walls. There was mold in the showers. There were loose hairs on the bedding in the cabinet. The listing had air conditioning but it was just in the living room so the bedroom was so hot to sleep at night. The photos on Expedia were not what we got. They must have renovated some rooms in the photos.

The bathroom was dirty and had mold. I reserved a king bed with pull out couch and they did have any available so I got a room with two full size beds and a couch that did not pull out. The location was great though.

The property is in great location and was convenient to walk to the beach and Coconut Marketplace. The unit is spacious. The kitchen and bathroom were fine and beds were comfortable. Our biggest complaint was how gross the carpet stains were in the unit. Also stains on the dining room chair cushions. Also found several dead and live bugs in the unit.

It was for one day, and very reasonably priced, compared to the newer hotels in the area. But at $200+ a day, the tub should not have hair from the previous guests. Other than that, it looked clean. The decor is a little outdated, but it included everything we needed. Which for some, is all they ask for.

This was a really nice place to stay. I do feel that the hotel needs some renovations it's a little out dated. Be aware that the AC is located in the living room and not in the bedroom so the bedroom was hotter than the living room. Also in the room we had it felt like the tub of the shower was not supported underneath, so it felt like you were gonna fall through the bathtub.

Plantation Hale Suites was well located (about halfway from the north and south shore areas). After reading some reviews complaining about the condition of the units, I was hesitant about staying here, However, our unit was in good condition, air conditioner worked fine (although a bit noisy which made watching tv a challenge with a high volume necessary), as did the ceiling fans. Kitchen was fairly well equipped with additional items available for checkout. Short walk to the beach across a small field, but the water was a bit choppy while we were there. Coconut Marketplace was a short 5 minute walk with shops and restaurants. Overall, I would recommend this place and stay here again.

Had two suites during eleven day stay. First suite was awful. Holes in carpet, dirty grout in bathroom, phone off line, room safe didn't have key. First floor unit facing back with noise from freeway and felt unsafe. Fortunately, staff was kind enough to let us change suites after one night. The second suite was night and day better. Everything worked, unit was clean, on the second floor with balcony facing ocean. So 1 star if we had to remain in first suite and 4 star for second suite. Bottom line is YMMV depending upon which suite you get assigned. One complaint is nightly parking fee. But staff were 5 star.

This does not have A/C like it says. It has it in the living room but not the bedroom. Sooooo hot and hard to stay there. Also, you pay $30/day to park and use WiFi! Not worth it. Don’t go. Place is dirty, tired, gross.

This place is old and in need of renovation. It was dark and had an overall dingy feel. The one window AC was in the bedroom which left the livingroom and kitchen hot. We had the AC on 24/7 on max. Staff were helpful and courteous.

I attempted an early check-in at around 10 am since my flight was very early. However, there were no available rooms until the standard check-in time at 4 pm, which is understandable (though a bit later than other hotels). The girl at the front desk, unfortunately, I didn't get her name, was very kind and accommodating. So, I decided to spend some time at the beach until check-in. But when I returned around 4:45 pm, there was a different front desk attendant, I believe her name is Alana. She informed me that my room was still not ready and couldn't provide an estimated time, even approximate time. I was exhausted from my flight and beach day, and I had hoped to get my room by at least 4:30. I was quite disappointed with the hotel's lack of management in this regard. Furthermore, Alana's attitude was unprofessional and cold, lacking any apology or sympathy. She simply stated, 'We have a high volume of customers today.' It was a nice place to stay.. kitchen and living room were really nice to have. There was a mix up about how many beds were needed and the hotel staff were very nice and helpful getting me a different room as soon as possible.the front desk staff was always great the whole trip.

We arrived early at 1pm, the gentleman at the counter told us check in was at 3pm. No problem, we headed to Hanalei Bay to enjoy the beach. At 5pm we returned and our room was still not ready. They gave us an occupied room. Well, I and the man in the room were both surprised. Not cool at all. After becoming a little irate, we were finally put into a room. They property waved the amenities fee and refunded us a night. All in all, it is a nice property but I will chose a different location to stay next time.

I somehow missed the fact that the hotel front desk closed at 8, and we arrived after that. They sent a message that had information on how to access our room using a code which was perfect. One thing that was confusing was that the message said “sorry we missed you during our front desk hours 8am - 8pm” and then “please visit the front desk for your parking pass.” Since I drove a car there I was unsure about the parking and whether I needed a pass. I went by the front desk thinking perhaps they had an after hours set up which would include my parking pass, but it didn’t. We parked with no issue but did arrive late and left early in the morning before the front desk opened again. The room was okay, it seemed clean but we did find crackers in the couch. The AC unit was in the main living space, and the sleeping room was so warm even late at night. There’s a small vent in between the living area and the bedroom that I think was intended to help cool off the bedroom. But it didn’t help it was very uncomfortable in the bedroom. Overall it was fine, just nothing special or memorable.

There are a number of restaurants and food places nearby, and the Suites are a five-minute walk to the beach. The Suites have pools, BBQ areas, and laundry facilities. It is a much older property than I anticipated for a VIP hotel. However, the biggest problem we had is that at no time during check-in or during our 4-day stay, where we informed that the water to our entire building was going to be shut off from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Friday and then again on the Monday. I was in mid-shower when it shut off at one point and the maintenance men brought me a bucket of water to use to rinse off. We sort of forgave the water being turned off on Friday during the day as we were out most of the day exploring the island, but I am super disappointed to report that on Sunday evening we called and asked for a late checkout on Monday and nobody mentioned that the water would be turned off again on Monday. Why would we want to add time to prepare for our flight home in a room where there's no way to take a shower or flush the toilet? I tried talking to the property about this issue and they simply informed me that I would have been informed during check-in and they would not offer me any sort of refund for the inconvenience.

The rooms and property were clean and quiet. The landscaping of the property was gorgeous. The rooms had full kitchens. The beds were comfortable. We had an ocean view from the lanai. We loved that the property had pools and hot tubs. There was plenty of parking. The nearby shops were great to have. There was a beautiful, non-crowded beach nearby within walking distance.

I had a great time at the property, met a lot of locals in the area who were super friendly. Great landing spot if you have kids, there is a lot nearby and walkable. Boss frogs is literally a walkable block away, we got all our water gear here + bikes. Two blocks away there is a Safeway, Starbucks and local food truck options. All in all, the property is in a great location, the staff is super friendly, the apartment was super clean, and there’s a great path right to the beach.

Plantation Hale Suites was well located (about halfway from the north and south shore areas). After reading some reviews complaining about the condition of the units, I was hesitant about staying here, However, our unit was in good condition, air conditioner worked fine (although a bit noisy which made watching tv a challenge with a high volume necessary), as did the ceiling fans. Kitchen was fairly well equipped with additional items available for checkout. Short walk to the beach across a small field, but the water was a bit choppy while we were there. Coconut Marketplace was a short 5 minute walk with shops and restaurants. Overall, I would recommend this place and stay here again.

We loved our stay at Plantation Hale! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious with everything we needed. The property is dated but that added to the charm for us. The only note I have is an extra trash bag or two would have been nice. Our Kitchen trash filled up and after we took it out we had no extra bag to line the can with. Having the kitchen was great!
