This is a delightful small hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Delicious continental breakfast - all very fresh. The restaurant was very good with the usual Austrian fare available. Used by lots of locals which is a good sign! Remember to reserve a table on Fridays and Saturdays as very busy and the restaurant is closed on Mondays. Good bus links to the centre from nearby - 20 minutes by bus. 40 minutes walk.

Mooie en nette schone kamers. Goeie airconditioning en een uitstekende restaurant. Wel een kleine hotel maar met gratis parkeren. Enige minpuntje is geen gratis flesje water en ik mist een waterkoker. Voor de rest was het prima en 20 meter verder zit een bakker voor dagelijkse verse broodjes. En op 3 minuutjes rijden zit een grote Lidl. Ik kom zeker hier terug als ik salzburg gaat bezoeken.

Uns hat unser Aufenthalt sehr gefallen, das Hotel ist nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt von vielen Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Bussen. Das Hotel war sehr sauber und sicher, wir waren sehr positiv überrascht das ein Kühlschrank in dem Zimmer war, gerade an heißen Tagen hat auch die Klima sehr geholfen. Vielen Dank und bis zum nächsten Mal!!

I liked the style of the place. Everything worked and was comfortable. Also the staff helped with clear instructions for late check-in. Small issues: 1. They make you pay city tax in cash, which was frustrating if not planned for. 2. the carpets were such that the edges are super hard to clean so the dust was noticeable.

The hotel had a warm Austrian feel. The room was clean and modern. A real perk was the public transportation pass given to us. The train station was about 10 minute walk. And we used the pass to go everywhere on bus and train. It is really a great place to stay.

Die Unterkunft ist sauber, das Zimmer war großzügig, das Personal hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist umfangreich, abwechslungsreich und frisch zubereitet. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in den Hof, was sehr ruhig war. Die Bushaltestelle der Linie 4 befindet sich in der Parallelstraße nur wenig Gehminuten vom Hotel entfernt. Mit dem ÖPNV fährt man in 10 - 12 Minuten zum Zentrum in der Altstadt. Das Restaurant im gleichen Haus bietet von Dienstag - Freitag Tagesessen an. Es hat hat eine sehr gute Küche, die Portionen sind umfangreich. Auch hier sehr freundliches Personal. Alles einwandfrei.

The decor was a bit dated but I think that added to its charm. We ate at the restaurant next door twice and we had the breakfast, which was lovely, with both hot and cold options available. The hotel can be reached from the train station by bus. The hotel sent us a free public transport voucher before our arrival, so no need to worry about tickets.

Tudo perfeito neste hotel que parece uma casa de boneca. Lindo, limpo, bem cuidado. Café da manhã excelente. Podem se hospedar sem medo. A única observação seria que acrescentassem algumas ma chaleira nos quartos, uma vez que na época de baixas temperaturas, seria uma conforto a mais para os hóspedes.

Such a great property and experience for me. THE ONLY thing i had the smallest problem with was that, for the single twin room I had, I had to call the front desk to turn on my AC. That may be my american self being a princess. Otherwise amazing and close to the Bus stop

Lovely hotel just around the corner from the football stadium in a quiet street. Fast and friendly check in and a nice air conditioned room. Breakfast was the best of our multi-hotel road trip, absolutely superb. Will definitely be staying here again next time we're in Salzburg and can recommend without hestitation.

Vi havde to overnatninger på Hotel Kohlpeter, som desværre var ret skuffende. Vi blev bemødt i receptionen af en meget sød og hjælpsom receptionist, som gav os et godt førsthåndsindtryk. Men der stopper det desværre. Vi havde booket et værelse til 4 personer med 2 dobbeltsenge, og fik et værelse med en dobbeltseng og to sengepladser i en sovesofa. Sovesofaen var utrolig ubekvem at sove i, da hovedenden ikke hang ordentlig sammen med resten af sengen. Værelset lå lige ovenover restaurangen, hvilket medførte madlugt fra køkkenet (hvilket var en ulækker lugt af løg og andet mados). Lugten var speciel stark i badeværelset, men kom også ud i resten af værelset. Morgenmaden var tam og kedelig, og absolut ikke prisværd. Hotellet har potentiale, men behøver en forbedring.

The property manager kindly left keys for us as we arrived very late to the property. We only stayed the night and left early in the morning. The room was exactly what we needed after a long day driving - clean, cool, well equipped - hassle free.

The hotel had a warm Austrian feel. The room was clean and modern. A real perk was the public transportation pass given to us. The train station was about 10 minute walk. And we used the pass to go everywhere on bus and train. It is really a great place to stay.

The hotel has a friendly, traditional atmosphere. The staff are very helpful and friendly and answered all questions pleasantly. The rooms were spacious, air conditioned and clean. The decor was a bit dated but I think that added to its charm. We ate at the restaurant next door twice and we had the breakfast, which was lovely, with both hot and cold options available. The hotel can be reached from the train station by bus. The hotel sent us a free public transport voucher before our arrival, so no need to worry about tickets.

Lovely hotel just around the corner from the football stadium in a quiet street. Fast and friendly check in and a nice air conditioned room. Breakfast was the best of our multi-hotel road trip, absolutely superb. Will definitely be staying here again next time we're in Salzburg and can recommend without hestitation.

Really nice hotel just outside the city. We walked and used an Uber to get into the city for reasonable cost. Staff friendly and helpful at all times. Shopping centre very close by that you could walk to if you like shopping. All in all would definitely recommend.

Die Unterkunft ist sauber, das Zimmer war großzügig, das Personal hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist umfangreich, abwechslungsreich und frisch zubereitet. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in den Hof, was sehr ruhig war. Die Bushaltestelle der Linie 4 befindet sich in der Parallelstraße nur wenig Gehminuten vom Hotel entfernt. Mit dem ÖPNV fährt man in 10 - 12 Minuten zum Zentrum in der Altstadt. Das Restaurant im gleichen Haus bietet von Dienstag - Freitag Tagesessen an. Es hat hat eine sehr gute Küche, die Portionen sind umfangreich. Auch hier sehr freundliches Personal. Alles einwandfrei.

I stayed at Hotel Kohlpeter on a solo leisure trip. I was very impressed with the whole experience. The staff was very courteous, and all were very friendly. I didn’t initially purchase the breakfast option, but I decided to try it, and after the first day, I decided to add it for the next two days. The breakfast area attendant was very friendly, and she made sure to let me know how everything was fresh, and she was correct. It was well worth the extra money spent. Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel, the staff, and I would recommend it to anyone who will be staying in the Salzburg area.

Vi havde to overnatninger på Hotel Kohlpeter, som desværre var ret skuffende. Vi blev bemødt i receptionen af en meget sød og hjælpsom receptionist, som gav os et godt førsthåndsindtryk. Men der stopper det desværre. Vi havde booket et værelse til 4 personer med 2 dobbeltsenge, og fik et værelse med en dobbeltseng og to sengepladser i en sovesofa. Sovesofaen var utrolig ubekvem at sove i, da hovedenden ikke hang ordentlig sammen med resten af sengen. Værelset lå lige ovenover restaurangen, hvilket medførte madlugt fra køkkenet (hvilket var en ulækker lugt af løg og andet mados). Lugten var speciel stark i badeværelset, men kom også ud i resten af værelset. Morgenmaden var tam og kedelig, og absolut ikke prisværd. Hotellet har potentiale, men behøver en forbedring.

What a wonderful place to stay, it conveyed a true Austrian traditional guest house in every way. We would definitely use them again, so kind friendly and helpful. Room had the worst smell when I first walked in. Bathroom door was also closed and when I opened it the smell was wretched. It seemed to be coming out of the shower drain maybe. I had to leave the window open all day for the smell to go away. Other than that everything was normal, standard European hotel room with a small bed.
