When we originally showed up at 5:00 pm the lobby was packed with other people. They looked miserable and like they had been there a while. We kept hearing people asking others “did they even give you a refund” we knew immediately something’s going on. We didn’t have time to wait to check in so we left and went to dinner and our concert. We tried calling to check in before we lost the reservation, that I had already been charged for. We kept getting the run around. Fast forward to close to 11:30 , we show up to check in and there are still issues. The man at the front desk was very short and wouldn’t give any reasons as to why we had no room to stay in. And tells us that we can just walk to Aloft “just out here” pointing outside. And hands me a paper with some of my info. And the paper stated Hyatt would take care of the room charge to a certain amount , since they had already charged my card at the Hyatt. But he left the amount blank. So instead of being charged for just the one room charge, I now have two room charges on my card. And honestly I think both rooms should have been compensated. At the end of the night, we had a place to lay our heads, but it was not a great experience at all.
