Construction work on the street outside meaning we had to walk a block with all of our luggage when taxi dropped us off. Construction work also at the hotel meaning stairs were not useable and elevator was often busy with workers. Construction dust in hallways. Staff very friendly and almost made up for the rest. Various small issues with room. Way overpriced for what it was but I guess that is Paris. 4 stars feels like a stretch.

Hotel is located in a good area. Room is very small, you can't even walk. Hotel is very old and on the picture is looks much better that in a real life. When elevator stops, it seems like everything inside is torn off. I believe only one plus it's the location. Hotel did a great photo shop on the web site looks much better. Towels in the room smell old and they have a grey color, not white. I wouldn't stay in this hotel again. I understand you come to Paris not to spend time in the hotel, but after making so much walking all day you would like to come to a nice hotel. I do not think it is worse the money you pay.

Lite hotell, men endå mindre heis. Fint rom, mot rolig gate. Frokost buffet servert på rommet, som var meget god. Alle ansatte var utrolig service innstilte. Kort veg til Louvre og enda kortere til Metroen, og bane nummer 1, som er utrolig sentral. Ein liten skjult perle dette, bruker det gjerne igjen.

Fantastisk personal både i receptionen samt tjejen som jobbade med frukosten. Frukosten var ganska dyr men god. Rummet var nyrenoverat och fint men lite för trångt tyckte vi. Hissen var alldeles för liten, fick typ klaustrofobi, trappen fungerade inte då de höll på att renovera där.

3泊しました。ルーブル美術館まで徒歩数分と大変便利な立地ながらリーズナブルだと思います。フロントの方も朝食にいたスタッフの方もみなさんフレンドリーで安心して滞在できました。ミニバーのドリンクもありがたかったです。滞在中の清掃も丁寧にやってくださいました。

The hotel is amazingly situated just a short walk from the Louvre, right next to a square where you could dine for a week and never goto the safe brasserie/reataurant. It also lies a few minutes walk from the big bus tour which takes you around the city and you can hop on and hop off. The hotel is clean and tidy and staff welcome and helpful. Ideal for anyone wanting to spend days out in Paris

Great location, comfortable room, and the staff was really nice - until the last day. There were several people who rotated at the front desk. During check in, the very nice woman working that day explained that the key cards were not working very well, so she gave us a real key as backup. As it turned out, the key card did not seem to work, so we used the real key. And we also confirmed that it was okay for us to keep the key with us when going out and about. On our last day, someone who we had not encountered before gave us a lecture on why the key cards do in fact work just fine and said, "you are those people who have been holding onto a key - very naughty". He proceeded to demonstrate that the key card works, and yes it does, if you throw your shoulder into the door. No wonder my wife thought it didn't work, and we had been told to expect problems. He was being rather mock serious so it wasn't like he was actually yelling at us, but I can see why other reviewers have complained about a certain male staff member. He probably thought he was being funny, but it came across as condescending. The other staff, however, were wonderful, and gave us all sorts of ideas for our stay. P.S. while other reviewers have complained about the nightclub across the street, our room faced the street behind the hotel. It was "city noisy" but not terrible. We slept just find with ear plugs.

The staff were outstanding and very supportive when we required directions or advice. The hotel is within walking distance of Gare Du Nord (Eurostar), the Louvre, the Seine, Le Grande Vefour and many other attractions including Notre Dame. Strongly recommend this small hotel with a great location and helpful staff.

The concierge (Sophia and Edmad) were absolutely fantastic! They were friendly, knowledgeable, and had fantastic recommendations. They let us blunder in French and spoke impeccable English when we reached the limit of our understanding. They are treasures and made this trip remarkable.

I was able to get a bigger room which was really nice. The area is super close to the Louvre (as in 2 small blocks away) and pretty close to the Opera. The breakfast was okay — I would think for the money charged it would be more extensive. That said the location and rooms felt comfortable and central to everything.
