Garner Hotel Oklahoma City - Quail Springs by IHG

We came for my daughters graduation at OSU and so happy to have stayed at this hotel. The staff was friendly, kind and very accommodating. My son is handicapped and the room was very spacious. Only wished the shower was a walk in shower. We had difficulty transferring him into a bathtub. A walk in shower would have been better. The hotel is close to almost everything! The mall is across the freeway. Costco and Sams within a mile and all the restaurants are very close. We even ate at FOGO de CHAO across the freeway. Very good place to stay at!

The hotel itself is nice, and the decor is updated. If you are looking for the small details of convenience, this won't be the place. The towels and rags are super thin, I was sad about that. The toilet paper is also super thin and low quality. The TV in my room was your basic TV. It is hooked up to a basic level of cable, but unfortunately I couldn't watch any channels beyond the local ones. I tried to unplug and plug in the coax, with no luck. It would have been great if I could have at least streamed or cast from my phone to the TV. The ice machine on the first floor by the front desk is super obnoxious and you get a whaft of a drain here and there. I would stay here again, but with the understanding that it's more just to have a spot to sleep and rest. But the small details are missing.

Nice breakfast selection of hot and cold items. Parking was easy. Staff was friendly during check in. Overall hotel seemed clean and maintained. I did see a spot the housekeeping had missed behind my bathroom door. I excused because if door had been open during the clean, it would not have been seen. Elevator worked during our first day, but it did happen to break our last day. They were working on it when we left. Swimming area looked nice but the pool room was too warm for us. When you walk in it seems warm and humid with condensation on some windows. The AC worked well in bedroom and beds were comfortable.

The breakfast was horrible. The staff was very very helpful.
