I will come back here every time I stay in Paris. The service at the front desk was excellent, especially a woman named Doa! She went out of her way to answer questions and be of excellent service. The breakfasts were phenomenal, the rooms were charming and typical Parisian.. The location is excellent in the Latin quarter. Right near The pantheon and Sorbonne. It’s very walkable and in a safe area also. I highly recommend this hotel. Oh yes, and the spa services were excellent, especially after a long day of walking.

We spent 10 nights at Hotel Saint Jacques, everything was great. From the welcoming front desk, to our nicely appointed room with a balcony, to the complementary spa and breakfast, all were great! The location of the hotel is convenient for walking to all that Paris has to offer, there are many restaurants to choose right outside the door. We’d definitely stay here again!

Billederne ser bedre ud, end hotellet faktisk er. Det fremstod temmelig slidt på både værelset og i korridorerne. Og der var ikke specielt rent på værelset og på balkonen. Receptionisten, der tjekkede os ind, var ikke specielt serviceminded - det virkede som om, hun ikke kunne lide sit job. Til gengæld var receptionisten, der tjekkede os ud, som hed Doa utrolig serviceminded og venlig. Morgenmadsrestauranten er beliggende midt inde i hotellet uden vinduer og er ganske lille. Beliggenheden af hotellet i Rue des Ecoles dog er rigtig godt lige midt i Latinerkvarteret og i gå-afstand til de fleste attraktioner, seværdigheder, markeder, restauranter, caféer og Seine floden.

Hotel was in the Latin Quarter and was a safe area. Room was clean, staff were helpful. The one thing that my wife and I did not like was when we requested a taxi to be at the property at 4:30 a.m. we found that it was not a real taxi but someone without taxi license carrying us to Charles de Gaulle airport. This means that the individual was not licensed or bonded as a taxi driver. Refrigerator was very small and please note if you come from the United States there are no washcloths. Excellent view from our room seem to be somewhat quiet at night charming decor. Would recommend

Hotel was in an excellent location, close to many historical sites and transportation. I felt perfectly safe as a single traveler. Hotel staff for the most part were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast is worthwhile. The room was beautifully decorated and clean, bed was comfortable. My only complaint is the small size of the room. Overall I recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

This is a beautiful, old building that has been modernized. The lobby is small but very well decorated. The staff are absolutely fabulous and will go above and beyond to help in any way they can. The hotel is well located in the Latin Quarter with many bars and restaurants close by. It is also very close to the Metro, Notre Dame and the Pantheon. Overall, our stay was fantastic. The only reason I am marking the hotel down a little is due to the room. The room was exceptionally clean but very small. In a European City, I would expect the room to be small so this wasn't a problem. However, there was no drawers in the room at all. There was a wardrobe with 6 hangers in it. For a week for 2 people, that doesn't give much space for clothes. Also, the wardrobe was so close to the end of the bed, you couldn't really get past it to get to the bathroom or out of the room. The other issue with the room was the bathroom. Again, it was small but very clean and modern. The shower, which had plenty of hot water and great water pressure, was inside the very high bathtub. Anyone with mobility issues would not be able to get in and out of this bath. Also, there was no grab rails so stepping out of the shower was rather treacherous as the water always came out of the shower onto the tiled floor making it extremely slippery. Overall, my husband and I loved our stay here but there are just a couple of things that need attention.

we loved our stay at Spa and Hotel Saint Jacques. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, and the hotel is a beautiful boutique style hotel with amazing Parisian charm. Our room had a balcony with the most wonderful view of city, tip of Notre Dame, and Pantheon on the other side. We would definitely stay here again on our next stay.

Staff were friendly and spoke English (for those that need it). Bed was comfortable. The street noise is a bit loud if you want to keep the window open. A few cafes are within walking distance. Hotel is pleasant. Parking is a paid, underground city garage some 10 minutes walk away. Overall a food stay.

The staff was lovely and we had a nice time. The rooms were too small for a family of three even though we booked the family room. Also we had a balcony which we liked but the street noise kept us awake for most of the week.

Lovely hotel, very centrally located with reasonably-sized rooms and modern bathroom facilities. Excellent breakfast, though the menu is the same every day. Be aware that the AC is centrally controlled, and depending on the external temperature, it may be deactivated in the entire building and the concierges may not be able to change this. One extremely helpful concierge was able to get my wife and me a fan from another property; otherwise, it may have been difficult to sleep. Unfortunately, another less-helpful concierge told us that it was "cool for Paris" and that they wouldn't be able to help us. Be forewarned of this if you prefer a cold room. The windows do open, however.

We stayed at the triple room. The room looked bigger in the pictures but it is actually very small. The building is old and the wall or partition is relatively thin. The ceiling creaked when somebody walked above our room.

Upon arrival (sleep deprived and exhausted from our transatlantic flight), we were greeted by pleasant staff, who not only assured us that our room was ready, but had even upgraded our room. We were able to get in a cat nap which set our vacation off on the right foot. The upgraded room had the most quaint and perfect balcony (perfect for sipping café in the morning and taking in the city sights and sounds). The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, but it was exemplified the most as we were leaving the hotel. On the last day as we were leaving (intending to take the RER to the airport) the concierge noted to us that the RER was experiencing heavy delays and arranged for a taxi to transport us instead. she provided us with cappuccino and pastries as we waited. The taxi arrived within minutes and thus our trip was not delayed and we were able to start the day with food & drink in our bellies. The location of the hotel was a mere block away from Maubert metro stop which made it super convenient to get where ever you wished to go; and for the first day, a simple jaunt up the hill to the Pantheon was a quick adventure to start off our trip. I can not emphasize enough how wonderful our experience was.

Although the hotel was quaint & provides the Paris vibe you would expect from an older hotel. Safety was a huge concern for my friend and I. The keys are left in cubbies behind the desk which is not properly attended. one day we were given the wrong key # - giving us access to someone else's room. I realized his mistake, and brought the key back. Two times we went to return our key before leaving and no one was at the desk. A guy came in while we were standing there and retrieved a key- was it his? or someone else's. We brought this up with the attendant, and she said "we have to leave to go to the bathroom." Which means, anyone can come in off the street, take your room key while the attendant is using the bathroom. If safety is important to you, then I would not recommend this hotel.

Hotel was quaint, hotel staff were very nice & it was centrally located in the Latin Quarter. However, our room definitely did not resemble the advertised picture. Mattress was hard and the bedding was uncomfortable. Bring a comfortable blanket if you choose this hotel. Additionally, it was uncomfortable having to ring the bell to gain access to the hotel when the clerk was not at the front desk which was daily. Overall rating is 3.

I will come back here every time I stay in Paris. The service at the front desk was excellent, especially a woman named Doa! She went out of her way to answer questions and be of excellent service. The breakfasts were phenomenal, the rooms were charming and typical Parisian.. The location is excellent in the Latin quarter. Right near The pantheon and Sorbonne. It’s very walkable and in a safe area also. I highly recommend this hotel. Oh yes, and the spa services were excellent, especially after a long day of walking.

We just returned from our Paris trip and staying at the Hotel & Spa Saint Jacques. We loved this hotel! The staff were simply amazing and great to talk with. They arraigned round trip airport transportation for us and we always available to help with questions. The room was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfasts were delicious and filling! The hotel is perfectly located for walking to many museums and landmarks. We walked everywhere and everything we wanted to see and do was well within a hour or less walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay there again on our next visit to Paris.

We loved our stay at this property. The staff was so friendly. They always were so welcoming. Every time you came in the room was a little smaller, but that was to be expected in Paris. We did not use a lot of the amenities as we were constantly on the go. We loved the neighborhood and ended every night with a glass of wine at one of the two cafés right across the street we really liked the location. It was close to Notre Dame, but far enough off the beating path that you didn’t have a lot of noise or traffic would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Lovely hotel, very centrally located with reasonably-sized rooms and modern bathroom facilities. Excellent breakfast, though the menu is the same every day. Be aware that the AC is centrally controlled, and depending on the external temperature, it may be deactivated in the entire building and the concierges may not be able to change this. One extremely helpful concierge was able to get my wife and me a fan from another property; otherwise, it may have been difficult to sleep. Unfortunately, another less-helpful concierge told us that it was "cool for Paris" and that they wouldn't be able to help us. Be forewarned of this if you prefer a cold room. The windows do open, however.
