Motel 6-Pottstown, PA

Don’t book here. We got woken up not once but TWICE by the fire alarm (3am and 5am). There were multiple conflicting stories as to why it kept going off. Apparently someone was smoking in their room setting it off. Someone else said that it was a faulty fan. Asked for a refund or partial and was not told they could not give us one since it was out of their control. DO NOT STAY HERE SAVE YOUR MONEY OR GO SOMEONE A BIT NICER. Hotel smelt like cigarettes and weed as soon as you walked in and throughout the hallways. No refrigerator no microwave. Hard to find as well it’s in the back behind the Walmart.

This is a small dog-friendly motel. It was very clean.There was no fridge, microwave, coffee pot or hairdryer. There were the usual vending machines and ice maker. Situated behind a strip mall. There is tons of dining and shopping close by. It was less expensive, but very basic.

The property was located in a convenient location,surrounded by shopping, food,etc. All the staff were very friendly and personable However, I was disappointed that there wasnt any refrigerator in the room because the website does state that they are available, as well as microwaves, upon request.

We traveled 6 1/2 hours to attend a doowop concert at their high school. This motel is very difficult to find and also difficult to find the entrance to it. The hotel isn’t very clean at all. Our door didn’t close, you had to push it shut and the bathroom door didn’t close either. Bed sheets had a stain on them so I just covered it with one of the blankets on the bed. But we decided that for 1 night we would be fine. Little did we know that we would get no rest. The fire alarm malfunctioned at 2 a.m. and again around 5 a.m. Nothing like going outside in your night clothes. Both times the entire motel was evacuated until firefighters were able to clear the motel for anyone to return to their rooms. After the second one happened we just left. We had to drive home with a 6 1/2 hour trip with no sleep. Rediculous to say the least. Hotel.com or motel 6 will not compensate for our horrible night. I’m done with both!!

I just needed a place to rest my head while traveling. It was clean and quiet. There was no fridge or microwave. There were a couple old cigarette burn stains on the tub. The room did not smell line an old smoking room. Complimentary toiletries were 2 small bars of soap. The price was right for what I needed.

Common areas were dirty. I didn't trust the coffee offered in the private area. Screen on window not secured properly. Had a large gap with frame and held in place with 2 screws. Felt unsafe Electrical socket in bathroom broken. 'Non-smoking' Room reeked of cigarette smoke. Worse when AC was running so either filter never cleaned or changed or it is a common AC system pulling in cigarette smoke from other areas.

Just like camping... single queen size room, non-smoking, on 2nd floor. Room had no microwave, no coffee maker, no refrigerator. Telephone in room was broken, and the single ice machine in lobby was broken. Bathroom vents must be connected, because the smell of smoking filled the room, but somewhat less by keeping the bathroom door always closed. The hotel is right behind a marijuana dispensary which had their customers hanging out in the hotel parking lot, sitting on the curb, chatting on their phone and/or waiting for a ride, so lock your vehicle to play it safe. The staff was nice and courteous, and the room was large but dated.

Fire alarm activated at 3AM and again at 5AM, both were false alarms. Front desk blamed faulty fire/smoke detectors in lobby area. Will be requesting refund from Motel 6.

Hall way walking to the room smelled of decomposition. something either in the walls or in the vents was rotting away. the room was obviously covered up with air freshener and by the 2nd night it started. I checked out early because it was so bad.

The room was cleaning but the bottom floor hallway carpet could def use a shampoo and deep clean to remove the odor.

We were there 3 nights and no one came into our room to empty our garbage or give us clean towels . Curtain had holes and was dirty. Hallway and elevator needed to be vacuumed.

Stinky place

Honestly I was seriously disappointed. Budget friendly should not mean unclean and leave you feeling unsafe. Checked in only to check out again 20 minutes later due to bugs and a blood stain on the wall as well as a crushed drug pipe on the way to the entrance.

The check-in with Jasmine was very easy. She was very helpful and kind. The room was quiet, the shower had plenty of hot water and a nice shower head. The bathroom sink drain, however, needs to be cleaned out so that the water drains better. The only thing unpleasant was the smell of marijuana at the entrance, in the lobby and upstairs in the hallway. The hotel is supposed to be non-smoking according to published signs, but the odor from marijuana was unfortunately very prevalent.

Room had the worst odor. Had to keep the window open and the heat on.

We reserved a non-smoking room, but it wasn’t non-smoking or they tried to mask the smell with incense or something…it didn’t work. There were bikers directly at the entrance of the property smoking. If I wasn’t with my spouse, I would have felt really unsafe.

Filthy dirty disgusting hotel

Bad smell everywhere, too much noise all the time, the beds are very uncomfortable

Price & location were great for me. Sink does not drain very well. Wifi is weak & drops often. Hallway always had strong cigarette odor.

Not many hotel/motels in the area seemed clean, this seemed like the best place that wasn't twice the price. It was not. Nice people working at the front desk at least. But the place smelled like everything you don't want to smell like. Unleashed pit bulls walking through halls with their owner. Pretty sure all the first floor rooms are booked with long-term tenants. The rooms are minimalist, which I don't usually mind. But you can't control the room temperature, or at least my thermostat was broken because no buttons changed it from 69 degrees. The 28? inch TV is mounted to a large piece of black wood, as though the optical illusion would make you think the TV is actually a 42 inch. The bed sheets looked clean, but the pillows smelled. The shower is this weird corner thing, if you're a larger individual, good luck. I'm a skinny 6'5 and I barely made it work. I was just hoping to find the diamond in the rough, where picky people complain, but it's clean at least. This was not that. Won't be back, will go to Air BnB where pricing was about the same. Again, at least the people working there seemed nice. I didn't need anything or ask for anything, just checked in and out(paid and did all on Expedia).

The room displays and arrangement is nice and the staff we met were nice. Unfortunately there were a few things found that were unsatisfying. The TV was extremely dim, flickered, and made screching noises that would only go away if shut off and turned on. There were cigarette burns on the sheets and they smelled dirty and as if used in a smoking room, of course. The bathroom had many dirty mold like brown spots on the tub and toilet. The wifi is unusable; it connected, but when i tried using it to study, pages would not load on my laptop or phone.

Average motel. Sadly it’s taken over by people living there. VERY NOISY. Hard to relax when there’s screaming in the hallways by staff and guests.

Front staff was pleasant when I checked in. Room was blasting ac at 56 degrees when I arrived. No shampoo or conditioner in the room. A no frills experience. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

We pulled up to people sitting out front in lawn chairs and a shopping cart being out front. The room was filthy, smelled terrible of cigarette smoke, the beds were uncomfortable, people were incredibly loud all hours of the night. The hotel was cheap and it certainly showed in every aspect.

Though we did not actually stay here, the customer service was fantastic. We booked 2 rooms for a night. I checked in the early afternoon to make sure the rooms were on the same floor. They changed things around to make that happen. Later, due to unforeseen circumstances, we no longer needed the rooms. When I explained this to Lori, the front desk agent, she allowed us to cancel with no hassle, even a few hours after the deadline. I will rebook here another time and appreciate the cancellation policy and Lori, for her pleasant and helpful attitude.

We arrived early Sunday morning for a room booked for Saturday and Sunday nights and were told "the system is down" and the front desk employee was unable to check us in. He told us the system had been down since around 3pm, so even if we had arrived earlier we would not have been able to check in and were not notified of this at any point during Saturday. We were also not offered any solutions whether it be a refund or calling another hotel. I still have not been contacted by the property (I have reached out) or offered any kind of refund.

Convenient location. Upon check in front desk twice gave my bad key cards. When i returned to the desk to try to get a new set front desk said something about not my fault keys are not working. I instantly asked for a refund.

First and foremost , the front desk staff were excellent! They are truly your first impression of how your stay will be. Room and amenities we’re clean and accessible. Close to everything imaginable from food to shopping,

Night staff was very unprofessional. Was not rude to us but listening to them talk about other guests was very awkward. The hotel did not smell the greatest. Wreaked of pot. Bedding had a bunch of stains on them. Probably wouldn’t stay there again. But did work fine for the night.

For what the hotel lacks the staff makes up for it 100%. This is the perfect no frills hotel stay. Prices are very fair and the staff went above and beyond for everything we needed.

They double booked the room, I checked in my room, went to my job, I came back and the door was locked from the inside. There was some one else sleeping in the bed.

Everything was spectacular from check in to check out! What a relief compared to went on in Atlantic City the previous 2 nights.

Curtain was ripped, remote had no battery cover and there was no clock in room. Tried to use the phone to set a wake- up call and the phone did not work. I went to the front desk and was told "I don\'t enter rooms I just work the front desk." This was my worst stay ever.

Love the new staff !!!! Old staff were a little careless and sat in there car in the parking lot smoking weed and playing loud rap music this was annoying, especially when you were in some of the rooms facing the parking lot not so bad when you were in rear facing rooms.. just being honest and transparent, but all in all this motel is one of the best in the area price convenience, location, etc.

A very run down, let go, unpleasant property. In collected trash for days in a dumpster, unpleasant smells in the lobby and elevator. Unsavory activity outside after dark. On a positive note: the shower was great! But no vent left everything wet and weird. I will never stay there again nor recommend it.
