Motel 6 Cross Lanes, WV Goff Mountain Rd

Room, bed and shower was clean but overall condition of the room was old and run down. Rust ring around the sink drain, dingy yellowing tub, messy caulking around the toilet, flooring in front of toilet and tub felt like you could fall through it. The picture on the wall looked old and had a bit of mold or something in the corner. Heat/AC was very noisy when it kicked on and there was a lot of road noise being that close to the highway. Trash truck came at 5 am to unload the dumpsters right outside our door, banging and beeping every time he backed up. Not a good night’s sleep…but it was clean.

Laundry service was horrible. Room attendant were rude

Parking is great. Each room has its own parking right in front of the door. Room smelled musty. Not certain it had been used in a while.

Location is convenient. There is quite a bit of nearby road noise, but not more than expected due to its location. The bed was very comfortable, although, three pillows to a king sized bed is questionable in my opinion. Overall the room was clean. The floors could use an extra sweep. The bathtub/shower stall in my room needs replaced—it’s clear it’s been repaired several times, but the water was hot and the pressure was good. Parking is available right outside the room which made loading and unloading and security nice. The front desk staff was friendly and fast. I do have some concerns about overall security though. My room key stopped working mid-stay and it was replaced without any personal verification (didn’t ask my name or for ID, just made a new key on request.) I’d stay again. I didn’t expect any more than I got for the price. While there are some quirks, it’s an affordable, clean-enough, location.
