Its a ghetto area but the property is safe, fenced in and more protected than the area around it. The staff was very nice and this is the cheapest hotel in the area. Weve stayed here many times. The Wifi doesn't work. May want to try restarting it.

I didn't like the area. The chair at the desk needs to be replaced. The limit for the air conditioner is at 75. The keys for both, the door and the gate need to be taken to the office to be able to work most of the time. The Cox internet for WiFi doesn't until the next day. The price is high for the place.

The hotel its Ok for an emergency of one night, the problem is that its in an area where there's to much homeless and black people fighting. Its smells alot to marihuana. Dont stay if you are going with kids.

Did not realize that motel was in a challenged area. The office chair was broken, only 1 hanger in room and desk did not have extras, and area was depressing.Also, water system was out of commision for full day. There were 2 ice machines but only one in service.

Friendly staff, very clean property. Comfy beds with plenty of room amenities. Secure parking and roaming security guards. Not much to do within walking distance. Freeway is directly off I-17. I would definitely stay here again if coming back to the area. Very much worth the price point / great value.

Located in a questionable part of town. The room key allows access to the gated parking lot. They even have a security guard on duty. So the property is safe, but the area of town is not.

You get what you pay for: Dirty towels with someone’s hair on them and a phone that wasn’t plugged into anything. My key card stopped working after every night and I had to keep getting it reactivated at the front desk. Which was somewhat hard to locate and not obvious. Parking lot is confusing and mostly gated off, and yes as a woman traveling alone it is sketchy and feels unsafe. Many characters roaming around, including someone selling dogs out of a crate out front. There was an armed security guard at one point. Thankfully I just needed a place to sleep for a few nights and didn’t care. It worked for that. It was surprisingly quiet during the night, no yelling or loud TV noises.

This place was not what it appeared in the pictures. Room reeked of smoke and advertising said non smoking. Bed sheets were stained and dirty as if someone had slept in them prior. Only one light in room difficult visibility. I didn’t feel safe with drug deals and prostitution happening outside the doors. I asked for a refund.

I wasn't going to bother with leaving a bad review but since the room reeked of cigarette smoke, now today (the next day) everything I brought into the room with me smells like cigarettes, and now my car does too. Building is right next to the freeway so was very loud. That and the paranoia of leaving my car outside in that sketchy neighborhood made it hard to sleep. Outside of building smelled like urine and marijuana and was filled with drug dealers and prostitutes. The bathroom had boogers on the wall and pubic hair on the toilet (which barely worked by the way). The only thing good about my stay was that I don't think I got bedbugs and my car didn't get broken into. Awful place, avoid at all costs, unless you're looking to buy or sell drugs I guess.

Really bad absolutely no good The bed covers had holes from cigarette burnings. The room had a really bad smell. I asked for a non smoking room And they give me a cigarette smelled room. Imposible to sleep in.

The photos did not match the property's condition. It wasn't awful, but it was not what I was expecting. The room was clean, but I could feel grit on the floor so I kept my socks on during my stay. There were some unsavory people walking around the property and on the outside grounds, there was someone working on a car in the parking lot and the room next to me had a cat in the window, so I think people live in the rooms. Just not a place I would stay again due to the people lurking around and the condition of the property.

The neighborhood was not what I expected. There was a lot of homeless. The front desk was courteous. The room was terribly outdated and worn out. The paint was peeling, the floor was dirty. I slept in my clothes. The bedspread had stains, there was a pill on the floor. The pillows were tiny and lumpy. There was a lot of noise all night.

Room smelled of heavy smoking, burn holes in the sheets and comforter. Phone was non operational. Key card failed several times at the gate and into the room. Just to name a few things. I won’t be returning.

Not the best area to begin with, lots going on there, seems like many rooms are being lived in. Reviews led me to believe there would be way less cockroaches then there were when I arrived to check in. Room was CLEAN, but too many roaches. Staff was extremely accomodating and respectful & refunded me.

The staff was the best things here other then that the cleanliness was below average and the noise was the worst I constantly heard the person up stairs with every move they made and it was hard to sleep or get peace! Overall I would say it’s a two or one out of 5 but the staff and service boast it’s up a start or two

Very disappointing, I've stayed here in the past with no issues. Yet this time after a two week stay was notified that I couldn't extend my stay due to mandatory eviction , still have no clue as to why security was allowed to come into my room & ransack it. If your looking for a location that will rob you then this is the place for you..🖕🖕 security at red roof inn midtown ..

Nothing is perfect until you get great deals on hotels. Service and cleaning is great! Towels everyday and toilet paper…key cards a new and work great! Security and staff is helpful. Bigger rooms are available and close to the cheapest rates in Phoenix.

Before booking your stay, know that it is located in one of the roughest areas in Phoenix. Lots of drug activity and prostitution around this hotel. It is a few steps away from a dispensary. There is a Super 8 motel next door There are people actually living in some of the units. We were warned by several Uber drivers to not go out at night. Our room had a very nasty smell, quite difficult to describe, combination of old smoke, dirty rag, exhaust, old pipes, musty. The bedspread had stains on it but the sheets and pillowcases looked clean. The toilet seat had stains and cigarette burn marks. With that said, I think the staff try to do what they can to get their job done. Front desk late at night (checked in at 10:30 pm after a late flight) was nice, security offered to walk us to our building. Cleaning lady knocked and offered to clean the room the following day. Most of the property if fenced off --iron fence that's not very tall but possibly helps with safety.

First, I'm not for the area so I didn't know that area is very bad!!(the hood) Although they are pet friendly they are not responsible! Feces everywhere in a very strong smell of urine! But for me it was the continental breakfast did not exist!!!!! Not even coffee, oh and every ice machine was broken! My two husky service dogs didn't like it there either!!! That was THE WORST RedRoof INN I've ever stayed at!
