**Cleanliness/upkeep could have been better. **The grate covers were broken on the air conditioner/heater. **The pool was closed both days my understanding was a manager needed to come and drain the overfilled pool off for it to be opened, that didn't happen. **The breakfast was very limited but it was okay. #*#The 2nd day we were there we found a live /#/bedbug/#/ on one of the pillows. They offered one night refund and when I asked for both nights to be refunded they agreed. We were told the manager would call us later in the afternoon, we did not receive a call. We had to move everything to a new hotel. **Those who were working were all helpful and kind. **Over-all it was an unpleasant stay.

It would have been nice to have clean sheets without shoe prints all over them. The floor felt slippery and gross. We selected this hotel for the pool which the staff said had been out of service for several weeks.

Hotel was very sparse and there’s not really any restaurants or convenience stores close. Our shampoo bottle (travel size) was half empty and had someone else’s hair in it. I had to pick up a new one from the desk and asked for conditioner too and they didn’t have any. Ice machine was broken. Fridge in the room was unplugged. It was cheap and I guess you get what you pay for.

Everything seemed like it would be good when we entered, the hotel but the pool was closed, the room only had two towels for four people, when we asked for more, they only had pool towels. The room was okay, the remote did not work for the TV, there were stains on the bed sheets and towels, and there was no hair dryer. The staff was always outside on a smoke break. And we were told when we got there that they no longer had their hot breakfast. The room was also had an adjoining room, but the door on our side did not lock, half the power outlets and lights did not work. It seemed like this hotel was being used as a home for many people. Not a good place to stay for a night or two.

The ice machine on our floor was broken, and the pool was ice cold. The room was pretty tidy , but nothing special. Also, the tv is very small, and the remote didn’t work all the way correct. Mainly upset about the pool being too cold to swim

The room was ok; comfortable and clean but the shower/tub was very date and dingy. The highway noise was VERY loud. There was no TV remote. The front desk associate was able to find one that worked. The elevator was sketchy. There is no ice maker on the 3rd floor and out of order on 1st and 2nd floor. There was no breakfast. When we left a women is sweatpants vaping outside thanked us for staying, apparently she was the desk clerk!

They advertise indoor pool which wasn't functional during our stay. This was the only reason I picked this hotel. Unfortunately there were places cheaper but didn't have the option of a pool. When I asked for a discount the staff said the manager said no discount. To me this is false advertising. Also staff and others smoke at the entrance doors right under a sign that says you must be 6 feet away. Cigerate butts are everywhere in the landscaping

There was hair hanging from a he ceiling in the hallway. Floors were sticky in the room. Couch was falling apart. Paint was chipping off walls around window. Bar sink dirty. Window seals were busted. Room smelled of mold and hallway smelled of weed. Breakfast is not available at this location anymore but honestly even if it was I wouldn’t have eaten it for fear it would have been prepared in a dirty kitchen.

Great for a quick one night stay. Cleanliness could be better but it was good for the most part. The floors were gross. No carpet in the rooms and the floors were sticky and turned our feet black. Yuck! Had to were shoes whenever walking around in the room. Not great with a 3yo and toys and stuffies falling on the floor, etc. The no carpet aspect should allow for cleaner floors but I think they cleaned them with dirty, dirty water!

With check in, rm 108 smelled so badly of smoke and mildew, we had to change rooms. Second room, 208, only slightly better. Too tired at 930p to change hotels, or we would've.... Will be my last visit here. The staff tried to make it better.

In general we found the accommodations average. The hallways and stairs were quite dirty. Our room was fairly clean, however when we opened our fridge there was a cockroach in it which was a little upsetting. When we left in the morning we saw another cockroach cross our path in the hallway. Reported it to the front desk and he said he would check it out - no apology. Probably won't stay here again.

The room smelled , there was no remote for the tv . The bathroom was the size of a closet and to top it all off we found roaches in our room ! The staff acted like it was an everyday thing … that’s a health code violation! Not ok with roaches in our room .

When we got to our room it smelled of straight chlorine. I have to young kida that do not need ro smell that all night. Then we noticed crumbs and food all over the floor. The toilet paper was used (not a nee roll). We bought a suit as well with a pull out couch that had not been clean in years it seems. We to front desk and Dylan was the most kind person! He tried everything he could to help us! But he also could not provide more towles than the two in the room provided as he had no access. I was not the only one to ask this either. Again we booked for 4 people to stay and only 2 towels with no access to more. The towels we did have were stained with black something. The sheets had a red stain that looked like blood. We ended up checking out as a mom i could not allow my children in that enviornement. But again, Dylan at the front was awesome to speak to when he tried to help in every way possible.

We booked this hotel last min.the day before. There seemed to limited hotels for a Friday night in this area. This hotel had an elevator which is a plus for us. The checking was smooth we had prepaid and the room was ready. The room itself was clean but seemed dingy due to the colour of paint they chose. It had new laminate flooring so they are trying. The doors , our and a few peoples rooms on our floor were very squeaky, especially in the middle of the night. There seemed to be a lot of commotion, but in fairness it is a hotel. My biggest complaint is that the outlets provided would not consistently work. The sockets are very loose when something is plugged in. They could not be relied on to even charge a tablet. It made charging Hearing Aids questionable not to mention how do you sleep with an intermittent CPAP machine. Common guys these sockets are WORN OUT!!! There where lots of receptacles but they where all the same hard to get a reliable connection. The breakfast was adequate, no eggs or meat but hot and cold cereal and a waffle maker. Coffe was empty when we got there (7:30 am). They had toast some muffins and a small offering of fresh fruit. They had a pool with water in it but that too was not available for some reason. If you are in need of a last minute place to stay for a quick stay over night it is ok, however it would not be my first or second choice. I will not stay there again, I hate painting all hotels with the same brush but Red Roof is not for me.

Stayed in Rm 225. You can hear every footstep from the floor above because of the floor creaking, when the room above runs the water you hear in draining loud and clear in Rm 225 and the room needs drywall repair.

The grassy area was GREAT for my dog to do potty in. I felt safe as the hotel is directly across from a police station. The room was spacious but the bed was so hard... That's the only downfall.

The hotel is in pretty bad shape in some ways. The second floor stairs were met with a bag of spilled construction material (looked like a bag of loose concrete), and a giant hole in the ceiling with a consistent leak. The elevator also had a leak, they just put a ‘wet floor’ sign over the puddle, which took up half the space in the elevator. The walls are paper thin, the TV in our room was low quality in sound and picture. No modern charging plugs next to the bed, only standard 3 prong outlets which only one of two worked next to the beds. The air conditioner worked well, fridge and microwave (always a nice amenity) also worked well and were useful. Some of the rooms on our floor had doors with entire knob and lock systems missing so you could see directly into the room. The staff were fantastic, we checked in during one gentleman’s shift and our stay carried over into another gentleman’s shift for the evening. Both were very friendly and helpful. The hotel did not have a cigarette odor, and the bedding and towels seemed clean, we’d probably stay again for a cheaper price, but it definitely seems like a manager or whoever is in charge of the day to day is missing some major details in what’s acceptable as far as appearance goes.

We made a reservation for my daughters Special Olympics state competition1 month and the app told me it was still available,when we arrived and tried to check in we were told they had cancelled our reservation and refused to give us our reserved room Then we had to find another room at another hotel. The staff at motel 6 told us that the reason they cancelled our reservation was to make more money by taking only those who were really a room and would pay what they ask. We stayed there last year and loved it but this year things were not the same will not ever stay here again and will tell everyone know in special Olympics not to stay at this hotel. I hope they are satisfied with the extra money they made, because it they.will loose more money in the future because special Olympics has thousands of people to this state games event and will inform special Olympics state office of this situation.☹️ Janice Fugate

Clean, comfortable dog-friendly rooms for those travelling with pets. Close to freeway, so very convenient. Very nice staff at the front desk, and the area and hotel felt safe for this single female traveler. Rooms for both my stays on this trip were very good for the price. One room had a slow-draining tub, and front staff was very responsive to putting in a work order to address it. Would definitely stay here again, especially due to friendly and kind front desk staff!

I booked over 6 months ago and I get there for them to tell me they were over booked by 16 people and told me to call Expedia for other availability in the area. Did not bother calling me ahead to make other arrangements or offer any help. Was very rude as we’ll acted like it was my fault they was over booked.

Staff was excellent and friendly. Front desk checked the room prior to sending us up! Housekeeping checked with us to make sure we had what we needed and told us to let them know if we ended up needing something. Room really nice and clean.pool was good. The young man at the front desk … very personable and helpful. The 1st room we checked in had a toilet that would not flush. He quickly moved us to a similar room and met us at the room to help us move our luggage. He went above and beyond. Thank you!

General Manager accused me of theft of food after she saw me with food that I PURCHASED at a local convenience store because there was Next to NOTHING available at the Breakfast Bar. When shown the receipt, her attitude was Nothing, Nada zip, as for any sort of apology. ABSOLUTELY 180 degree REVERSAL of my Check-in experience. Night Clerk was an absolute JOY to speak with and she checked me in with NO PROBLEMS despite the Hotels.com reservation NOT shown in the system at the front desk

Justin at check in was awesome, he was nice & professional very welcoming.. The room was clean & comfortable. The lamp on the wall didn't work & the fridge didn't get real cold but everything was compatible for our nights stay. Housekeepers was nice & helped me with my older dog, while I took my very hyper pup to the car, When your in need of somewhere good to stay while in Richmond ky this red roof is great . My #1 pick.. Thank you all awesome job! 5 *'s

The grassy area was GREAT for my dog to do potty in. I felt safe as the hotel is directly across from a police station. The room was spacious but the bed was so hard... That's the only downfall.

I have stayed at this location before. It is clean & comfortable with a great price. There are not a ton of amenities....but, that's okay for me. It is a convenient location for a lot of dining options & for the activities that I'm involved with. My only negative...and it is a minor one....is that I wish there were better breakfast options, such as muffins or yogurt.

We booked this hotel last min.the day before. There seemed to limited hotels for a Friday night in this area. This hotel had an elevator which is a plus for us. The checking was smooth we had prepaid and the room was ready. The room itself was clean but seemed dingy due to the colour of paint they chose. It had new laminate flooring so they are trying. The doors , our and a few peoples rooms on our floor were very squeaky, especially in the middle of the night. There seemed to be a lot of commotion, but in fairness it is a hotel. My biggest complaint is that the outlets provided would not consistently work. The sockets are very loose when something is plugged in. They could not be relied on to even charge a tablet. It made charging Hearing Aids questionable not to mention how do you sleep with an intermittent CPAP machine. Common guys these sockets are WORN OUT!!! There where lots of receptacles but they where all the same hard to get a reliable connection. The breakfast was adequate, no eggs or meat but hot and cold cereal and a waffle maker. Coffe was empty when we got there (7:30 am). They had toast some muffins and a small offering of fresh fruit. They had a pool with water in it but that too was not available for some reason. If you are in need of a last minute place to stay for a quick stay over night it is ok, however it would not be my first or second choice. I will not stay there again, I hate painting all hotels with the same brush but Red Roof is not for me.

Warm, clean bed. Warm shower. Room was updated and clean, but the rest of the hotel was very worn and tired. Doors showed years of wear, carpet in front of room was dirty and sticky. Continental breakfast wasnt started half an hour after start time. Had to wait 10 minutes for reception to finish smoking before I coukd check in.

Everything seemed like it would be good when we entered, the hotel but the pool was closed, the room only had two towels for four people, when we asked for more, they only had pool towels. The room was okay, the remote did not work for the TV, there were stains on the bed sheets and towels, and there was no hair dryer. The staff was always outside on a smoke break. And we were told when we got there that they no longer had their hot breakfast. The room was also had an adjoining room, but the door on our side did not lock, half the power outlets and lights did not work. It seemed like this hotel was being used as a home for many people. Not a good place to stay for a night or two.

The room smelled like cat spray. It stunk so bad that we could hardly sleep. The furniture in the room was destroyed. And the black mold on the ceiling above the shower was insane. If I wouldn’t have checked in at 8pm and absolutely exhausted I wouldn’t have ever stayed here.

It was good. Mostly the people were great and so very nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable. The hot tub worked ok. They did not have breakfast as listed in app. And definitely needs an upgrade, but it was good for an overnight as we travelled to the Smoky Mountains.
