Parking outside was not great. The spots are not clearly marked and other guests took up two spots, limiting the total available parking. Additionally, the spots were very narrow. The underground parking was good but could not accommodate most vehicles as the entrance is very low. The gym was clean but lacking in maintenance to the cable machine. Needs servicing asap.

The actual hotel is pretty nice. The staff are friendly and there’s coffee in the lobby. The little corner where you could buy snacks wasn’t stocked and when we asked about that we were told it was because they ran out of stuff. Fair enough. We took an Uber later and picked up some snacks and drinks. The beds in our room were super comfy and the bathroom was clean. We heard very little airport noise The parking lot was pretty bad. There’s an area shared by this hotel and the one facing it so there are a lot of people there. It took us a while to find a spot and when I parked, I didn’t want to leave so I wouldn’t have to find another one The parking spaces are pretty small. I was parked between the white lines next to a similarly parked car and I had to hold my door to avoid hitting the other car. When I checked out and went to my car, there was a dent on my driver’s side door and a scratch on my passenger side door. Since they charge for parking, I think the spaces should be bigger… but then there would be less spaces… No good solution there except maybe waive the parking fee. We had to call an Uber or drive to get dinner, but hotel is right across the street from the airport, so it’s super convenient for travelers. I think they have an airport shuttle, but we never had to use it.

Very nice hotel with small resturaunt and bar with a mini convenience store which was a very nice plus. Also had a nice small outdoor pool and hot tub.

Our go to hotel when we visit San Diego. Great staff. Great location. About 10 minute drive to Sea World and 15 minutes to the Zoo. The pool and spa area are currently closed through January.

The carpet in our room was extremely dirty. Large spots indicating either pet stains or other liquids. The pillowcases were dirty and stained. The restroom was very water damaged. This is unfortunate, this has been our go-to hotel for over 3 years and we are now looking to stay elsewhere. We visit San Diego at least once a month. Do better Hilton.

Management needs to be properly trained before they get started the position of Manager at The Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Old Town, deftly I never had the worst customer service from a male manager that is so misogyny and a liar and unrespectful!!! I got a worst dirty carpet room: on one side with a used condon, and on some other sides some horse poop and also some other pieces of trash like a candy wrap, and some other stuff next under the light table next to my bed. My shower was still durty since I got there with empty bottles with NO shower gel and NO conditioner. My 4 pillow covers, they were extra extremely very wrinkled. I made the front desk know, about what was going on my room from the beginning and she explained me that they were sold out and she couldn't do not much but she told me that her manager could talk to me at the next day. Then my husband and I , we didn't had no choice cause all the hotels around they were booked up. I paid more than $400. per night, for a disgusting room at Hilton Garden Inn at San Diego Old Town; my worst room ever!!!!!

Hotel is in a great location, lobby was clean, kids loved the pool area. Kitchen was fast and very convenient. Other then the mold in the bathroom our stay was wonderful.

My stay was good except my room was next to a loud air unit which shook my room non stop, it really made the stay unpleasant, not to mention the noise insulation in general is pretty bad. Apart from that the staff is kind and accommodating.

Our room was large, comfortable and clean. Nice view, quiet, lobby was beautiful. Temp was nice with central AC and programmable thermostat. Loads of options for tv, live tv, Netflix, etc.

The property itself was really nice. Is a great location. Staff are great. Nice pool and clean. However beds were super uncomfortable and quiet thing was the AC unit when it kicked on sounded line a plane was taking off in the bedroom. It was so loud itv was impossible to sleep. That might be the worst night sleep I’ve ever had in my life 😞

We were assigned room 126. If this is ever the case at this hotel, ask to change rooms immediately, unless you need to be up at 4:30 am. The noise from the kitchen was unbearable and the banging of the plates went on non stop for the next three hours. This room is also adjacent to the elevators and back door, not a great combo. Wasn't a great night stay!

Pros: Nice and clean hotel. Friendly staff. Walkable distance from Old Town which was great. Easy parking for a daily fee. Free coffee downstairs in the morning. Cons: No air ventilation in the bathroom or room in general. Windows do not open so no fresh air comes in the room. Due to this the hotel hallways and room was stuffy and stinky at times. Last two days of our 5 day stay were loud at night.

Shower door frame needs attention. Water leeks and pools outside in the corner. Which will cause mold. The water turned off while my husband was taking a shower. It eventually turned back on. That was weird.There was a consistent humming noise. I'm not sure where it was coming from but it kept my husband awake Room 406

On Saturday afternoon when we returned to our room the key wouldn’t work. There was a long line of other guests with the same problem. So you had people checking in and people already guests in a long line. One poor man in a wheelchair said he paid &2000 in advance for his room and there was no record of it. I waited for almost an hour in line to get new keys. The only saving grace was Ruth the desk clerk. She was calm and reassuring and the only thing from a riot. She was great No WiFi available even though I have Hilton Honors. Send in a crew to review the facility

I had bought it reserved a king size bed for my wife and I and our little daughter. The first night they gave our king bed to other guest, they provided 2 queens but we're tall people. Our daughter fell off the bed and the sécond night, they almost gave our king sized bed again, if it were not for my wife who called multiple times to save our bed. They were going to give it away! I would not recommend this hotel to my family or friends. Also the guy at night was pretty stern and rude about not having our king size available. Also our daughter is special needs and we were not happy when she fell off the bed in her sleep. We almost took her to the ER but she calmed down after 10 mins of crying !

I was traveling with friends for a fun one night stay in San Diego. We felt this hotel was in the Hilton family, so we knew what we could expect. Pre check-in was pleasant. We completed everything including my friend service animal registration. We were told rooms close to eachother was no problem and guaranteed ready at 3pm. At 3:15 we were told rooms were ready, then they were not, then they were togther, then they were not, then the manager raised his voice at us and said we had to wait an hour. Then suddenly the rooms were ready again. It was very bizarre, like we walked in on an emplyee argument and it was taken out on us. The wrost was still to come. We came back, noticed there were parking passes on parked cars. We were never offered a parking pass. This means we had go to the front desk again. It was the same rep from 3:15. My friend paid for parking, and we stood in the lobby entrance while another friend left to put the pass on the dashboard. This entire time, my friend has had his service animal with him. Suddenly, the rep asks across the lobby if he is in a pet room, he's going to have to move rooms, and there are paperwork/fees involved. He walked back to the desk to explain it was a service animal and to show his paperwork. She said no need and gave him a tag to put on the door. He walks back to me. Then, she said, "Are you sure that it is a service animal?" He walked back to the show his paperwork. She was harassing him in front of other people in the lobby.

Room wasn't ready at check-in. Waited an hour for room to be clean so we could check-in. Front desk didn't seem to care. Was waiting in loby and never did they come over and update us on room. I finally went over to ask. They said a room just opened up.

Good location for Old Town! Not much else to do walking distance like shops, coffee shops, etc. There are homeless in every street corner near by. The hotel itself was nice. The outside area by the pool could use some cleaning but we did go during off season.

The property is clean and convenient location was a plus. We had a “snacks & drinks” package that meant absolutely nothing. There was also a charge to park each night of $24 which I was not expecting. The breakfast buffet was also expensive for what you get. HGI used to include breakfast with your stay, not anymore!

The Hilton Garden Inn San Diego Old Town/SeaWorld Area was the perfect choice for our little vacation! We had spent the entire day at the USS Midway and only had to drive a very short time to reach the hotel from the Midway. The hotel is literally across the street from Old Town! Very nice to not have to drive to dinner. The room was spacious and clean; absolutely no complaints. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant and I have to say it was delicious! Probably the best hotel breakfast we’ve ever had. Our waitress was so helpful and friendly. We’re definitely staying at this hotel again next year when we vacation in San Diego!

Your restaurant was not up to my previous Hilton experiences. Breakfasts were good but dinners were poorly prepared. In trying to find improved menu selections, we tried nearby restaurants. After my third dinner, I learned to hate Mexican food! Even when I asked the front desk staff for alternate restaurant suggestions the Hilton staff could only recommend more Mexican restaurants!

Easy freeway access, quick check in/ out process, lots of wakable dining options. Front desk and Restaurant staff were very friendly. Wifi was free and worked well in the room. Bed and pillows could be better, the continental breakfast was $25 (for eggs and bacon.), not a huge deal just kind of gouge.
