Fairfield Inn by Marriott Santa Clarita Valencia

Overall was nice. Served its purpose. The only thing was the elevator didn’t work properly. The doors would get stuck open and it would make a loud noise.

Nice comfortable hotel, free breakfast was slightly above average but the pool was slightly below average could have been a bit cleaner and the hot tub did not work. So i would rait my stay as average.

Our time at the Fairfield was brief, but this hotel met most of our expectations. Was in a nice area, freeway accessible, room was comfortable, breakfast was decent (love the oatmeal) and the staff at check in was friendly. The only negatives I can address was parking and some dirt scum in our bathtub. We are traveling with our small travel trailer and parking was very limited and did not accommodate our rig. We had to find some larger parking spots at the Marriott next door. As far as the dirt scum in our bathtub, it looked like there had been a plumbing backup into our tub that had receded. We were able to rinse it off and clean it ourselves, but it was a little gross. Otherwise, we enjoyed our overnight here. Would stay again if we aren’t pulling a trailer.

Very difficult to find parking when hotel is booked. There were two large containers in the parking lot that limited the parking area. Room keys stopped working and had them reset only to have them not work the next day. It is a clean facility and the staff was nice. The rooms are on the small size.

The room was great. Loved having the mini fridge and microwave. Staff very friendly and helpful. However trying to back out of parking space was difficult. Parking lot was just too small

The pool was listed as closed the whole time and frankly.... I'm getting tired of hotels not giving you a discount when something as important as the pool is not available.

Traveled with family, 4 adults 6 kids. We all enjoyed the stay. Check in was fast and easy. Staff was helpful and kind. Rooms were clean and updated. Best part was the hot breakfast. Tons of options for all of our picky eaters, they looked forward to breakfast the night before 😂 only inconvenience was pool and hot tub were under maintenance. Luckily we were told we were able to use the hotel Nextdoor to us pool and hot tub. We would definitely use this hotel again.

This property had many items that were broken including we did not have hot water. We gave management a chance to correct this by some sort of refund as we were not told they were having issues with their boiler when we had 5 people check in to the suite we paid for. I would have expected notice of this at check in with a discount or other similar hotel options in area with rooms. Hot water for showers is an expected part of the hotel experience when coming to prepare for events and vacations. I feel they did not live up to the Marriott name and are stealing by charging full price while showers were not available to us unless we used cold water in January. In addition, there was no shampoo or condition in the dispensers, the drain was clogged. The jets on the hot tub didn't work. There was a sign on the juice dispenser for breakfast that it was out of of order without other juice options provided. I waited to do a review to see if management would work this out with us but through Expedia, they have refused. We came in late at night and left at 4:00 am and found out the water was not hot for showers. We called throughout the day to a busy signal to alert them of concerns with our room. When we arrived back for night two near 10, though expedia also emailed them, none of the conditions were taken care of, we reported them again and that is when maintenance came to fix the drain but told us hot water was an issue throughout the building given all the complaints.

I really enjoyed my recent stay at Fairfield Valencia. The hotel is very nice looking and clean as well as the room. The staff is very friendly. The daily breakfast they provide is very satisfying. Definitely would recommend this hotel to others.

my daughter and I had many, many bug bites after staying one night. When I told the desk clerk, they didn't even ask to see the bites. She just refunded us one night stay (via points for a free night). Everything else was fine. The breakfast was fresh and hot, room clean, they were friendly, provided extra towels as requested, and the beds were comfy. Not sure we will go back because of the bugs.

Rude desk lady. Dirty room. Messy bed, dirty towels, uncleaned sink, visible mold in shower, tv left on. They had to put me in another one. No hot water. Loud outside all night. Shower water caused itchiness and so did the linen. So weird. Will never stay there again

Clean rooms, spacious, good beds. Facility was well maintained and clean. Breakfast was good, sitting area was a bit tight. Overall well kept hotel.

There was an event/party that was being held across the way until after 11pm. The walls are so thin that it could be heard. The beds are as hard as rock. Bathrooms are filthy with dirt in the grout and crown molding missing. The toilet flush was loud and scary! I do not plan to ever return to this facility.

We were greeted the front desk clerk who checked us in quickly. Our room was on the third floor as we had requested and was clean. The bathroom was clean and the beds comfortable. This is our "go to" hotel when we are in the Los Angeles area.

The location was excellent. Many dining opportunities nearby. The property was well lit, safe, and well maintained. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. We would stay again when traveling through this area.

We experienced an emergency in the area that required us to stay there. The hotel was clean and easily accessible. Its location provides access to many stores, restaurants, and gas stations. The daily breakfast was excellent and offered a variety. Definitely worth waking up for in the morning. The staff was friendly and welcoming.

Clean,but older

The windows are terrible. It sounded like the windows were open. You could hear everything outside all night long.

The hotel location was very convenient to the freeway, amusement park, and a few restaurants. Appeared very family friendly, but was not loud. The room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was hot and had many options. The color of the dark carpet in room did date the hotel, but hotel is holding up VERY well. I would recommend a stay.

Stay was okay. A/C-Heater did not work in room. Staff was like warm. The room was clean but beds were hard. Okay for one night.

The mattresses were so hard. My back was so locked up that I was unable to work.

They gave us room near ice maker machine and exit door and it is so loud every 10 min that is impossible to sleep. So annoyed!!!!

We stayed for one night. Our room number was 310 which was right next to the elevator. The cabling system requires lubrication as there is a sharp piercing noise every time the elevator was used (which is no stop until 11 PM and then started up again early in The morning). As a result, my wife and I slept very poorly last night prior to us taking off on a very long drive to our final destination.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean and quiet. Room was perfect especially for my handicapped brother who uses wheelchair and walker. Would definitely go again.

Awesome hotel!!! Great room and service. Our air conditioner unit went out and maintenance quickly came to our room and replaced the unit in a timely fashion. We were very impressed with the Fairfield Inn staff in Santa Clarita, CA!!!!!

The power went out at least three times while we were at the hotel. When we went to inquiry about the issue we were not provided with information. The front desk staff was very unresponsive and did not seem to care about our needs. Since it is June the weather is very warm so it was quite uncomfortable in the room at night.

Horrible customer service at check in. Absolute worst.

Clean room, comfortable bed. Check in was quick & breakfast very good with breakfast sandwiches & many hot items to pick from. Close to shopping & restaurants. Quiet. Thank you!

We were able to check in early. They were so accommodating and kind. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfast we have ever had. We will be back.

This hotel is outstanding! Super friendly and accommodating staff. The breakfast is impressive! Fruit, waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, eggs, yogurt, oatmeal and more. Nice pool and hot tub. Rooms are spotless and beds very comfortable. Will definitely stay here again!

Good location, breakfast was average but not great. I went into the hotel the AM of checkin to secure an extra night under my nieces name. At that time i explained that we wanted to keep the same room for all 3 nights a d i was assured it would be no problem. The late morning of the 3rd night I got a call from the hotel asking about why we hadnt checked out yet. I explained that the room under my nieces name was in fact the payment for our 3rd night in the same room. He stated that there were no notes in the computer about the arrangements that I had made with, Lili, I believe that AM of the 1st day. I confirmed with him my nieces name and he transferred that credit over to our room. When we got to the hotel we found that our keys had been deactivated so we had to go back down from our room to the front desk to get new keys! We also had amorous headboard banging neighbors who were active every several hours both nights! We reported it to the front desk after the 1st nite and we were assured that they had checked out for our 2nd nights stay. No such luck!! They were at it again keeping us up!!

Hotel located in quite area but very close to highway with easy and fast access to LA area. Room is simple but spatious, breakfast is good, wish however for more vegetables. Price is reasonable. Bottom line we glad we stayed there and recommend this place for families

We particularly liked that there were plenty of convenient electrical plugs, including USB plugs, especially near either side of the bed. Excellent hot breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage patties, oatmeal, fresh fruit, and the makings for waffles with (previously frozen) strawberries! The ladies in reception were very welcoming and efficient. There are many fast food restaurants within a kilometer, but we recommend nearby Yamato as better quality Japanese food.

I have had a very good breakfast, but I discovered that the milk and chocolate milk in the refrigerator are about to expire. Moreover, when my child poured the chocolate milk into the cereal, I found that it was lumpy, as if it had gone bad.

Clean, comfortable and quiet room. Staff nice and helpful. Breakfast food selection fair, but the buffet area wasn't kept clean or filled with hot selections, which was both unappetizing and disappointing. Overall, my stay was very good and I would book this hotel again.

Check in was so easy. My mom was tired from the drive and she got to sit down while I checked in for us, even though the room was in her name. I had her ID and the front desk associate could see her, but they didn't make her stand up and wait.The breakfast was amazing. There were so many options. I really liked the egg souffle. It was microwaved, but delicious. There was scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt. It was a great experience.

I would recommend they change pillows and fix their hotel key issues. In 3 days we had to go to the front desk up to twice a day to rekey the room. Please get a new toaster it’s broken.

Good night stay option in Santa Clarita by the freeway. Convenient location with lot of stores including Walmart nearby, dining options etc. Room was spacious and clean. Break is basic options, could be better and dining area bit cramped. Decent parking options.

The rooms were comfortable but the breakfast area was a mess. They only had one person attending the breakfast area, making it impossible to keep items stocked and available for guests. Will not return.
