Need more parking

The good: Huge room, clean, reasonably quiet, efficient friendly staff, great breakfast. The bad: Built in a strip mall parking lot and shares their parking spaces, train track 50 yards away, no coffee pot in room and no view excpt for a parking lot. No pool.

This property is nice and has a bar / lounge that serves food and a small casino. I would definitely stay here again

Great lobby bar

This property is old & should be updated. The food was barely warm both mornings. It seemed to have been reheated. The coffee was cold. The computer was broken which was a big in convenience. A plus is it’s so close to Mt. Rushmore.

This was probably THE worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. The amount of bugs crawling around my room was of biblical proportions. I think I killed 15 stink bugs crawling around the room. On my bed, the curtains, the floor, the AC unit, and in the bathroom. On top of that, I pulled back my sheets and a fly came crawling out. There were even more dead bugs and moths on the floor. I could hardly sleep because I was afraid of bugs crawling all over me while I sleep. The elevator sounded like it was going to crash and fall to the basement. The whole building smelled old and musty. Maybe use some of that casino money to hire a bug exterminator?

Great Hotel with an on site lounge and casino. The liquor options were awesome and the food was very good too. They also jave a nice patio and smokimg area off of the lounge!

Clean room. Pet area was well lighted which was very appreciated. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast was OK. Congested parking area. Nice staff. Would stay again.

Laundry onsite as well as continental breakfast were convenient.

Bed bugs in our room

I did not like Baymont because when we got in the room and check the bathroom and there was poop in the toilet seat. That is very unacceptable.

Little to no water. Couldn't even shower, wash me face as just a drip or no water. This morning couldn't even flush the toilet. They stated they had been working on the water situation for a week. They should not have taken our reservation and closed their doors. until

The staff was friendly and true to the culture of Sturgis. Room was clean and breakfast was decent. Biggest problem for us was being able to hear the couple in the room with the adjoining door who were getting ready to leave at 11:00 and returned at 3:30 in the morning and was still in the mood to chat. Not the hotel's fault for the guest behavior, but our stay would have been much more restful if the noise through the doors wasn't so prevalent.

The staff was very friendly and accomodating. If you have to have coffee when you wake up, be prepared, there was no coffe pot or microwave in our room.

The only thing I didn't like was that there's no coffee maker in the room. For 150 bucks, you'd think there'd be coffee available in the room. However, they had nice coffee with nice creamers in the lobby. When I left this morning. The room was spacious with comfortable chairs to sit in and the bed was comfortable and clean. Water pressure in the shower was very good. This is necessary after a long motorcycle ride. TV options are minimal. Another downer. And there's not enough bandwidth and Wi-Fi to stream Netflix on my phone

Clean. Hotel decor is current and very nice. Excellent location “. Only issue, Wifi is marginally worse than dial up. I had a lot of computer work to do….crashed endlessly. Still highly recommend

The most comfortable beds for a motel.....

As a professional commercial photographer, I rely on high-speed internet to upload media in the evenings while traveling for business. That’s why I booked a stay at Baymont Inn in Sturgis, South Dakota, through Hotels.com—specifically because they advertised free high-speed internet. Unfortunately, what I got was anything but. The first room I was assigned had such a weak signal that my device wouldn’t even connect. I went to the front desk and explained the situation: I need reliable internet to work. They moved me to what was supposedly the best room for WiFi—yet the connection was still so bad I couldn’t complete a single upload. Frustrated, I contacted Hotels.com customer support, where I was met with a third-world, third-party call center. The representative was: 1. Completely indifferent to the issue. 2. Powerless to do anything to fix it. 3. Sporting an attitude worse than any customer service agent I’ve dealt with in the last five years. At this point, the night desk clerk at the hotel let me in on a little secret: Baymont Inn in Sturgis consistently ranks among the worst in the entire Baymont system for internet—well below 150th place. And guess what? They’ve known about it for years. That’s the part that gets me. When you have a known problem, and you refuse to fix it, that tells me you simply don’t care. I wasted my time and money on a room that couldn’t meet the most basic advertised amenity I needed. A refund would be appropriate.

Terrible experience Noise coming from equipments room next to ours made a chain saw like noise beginning at 4 am room 120 Complained and night clerk just shrugged his shoulders and said I don’t hear anything He was an ass.

The gentleman at the front desk, Greg, was so friendly....and helpful! Everytime I walked by, he said, Lisa...have a great evening.

The hotel was great and very reasonable considering the numerous events going on. Nice breakfast choices and a lot of conveniences, even a casino. Great bar staff. Ordered fries at the bar that took way to long and had a weird oily taste. My only complaint was getting a phone call while driving through mountains telling me if I don’t pay the incidentals fee now, they will cancel my reservation! I have never had that happen prior to check in, when I opted for the pay at the desk reservation! The person who called me was rude and didn’t seem to care that I was on a mountain road, she wanted a credit card for that $100 deposit!! The front desk staff were fine when I arrived though.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Front desk Heather and Thomas went above and beyond helpful. It's nice to have such great people eith smiling faces greet and help you with anything.

It was our first time staying here. Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful, every part of the hotal was clean and looked well maintained, the bed was very comfortable, nice breakfast and common areas. 44 North Bar was nice too. The location was easy to find and convenient to where we were going. We will stay again.

I left a ring there and when I called they had found it and mailed it back. I’m very thankful for honest and kind staff. I needed a pen to journal and the desk guy was super kind and gave me an awesome pen to use and keep.

Hotel was in a great location close to everything happening in Sturgis.

Property was clean, breakfast was ok but not great, conveniently located on the way to Deadwood and spearfish basically the northern part of the black hills but the hotel is a little bit outdated

It was in a great location and away from all of the motorcycle commotions. We are in mid-70's and forgot about the Sturgis motorcycle festival.

Newer modern place compared to others in area. Great comfortable rooms, easy parking, lots of dining options within 5 minute drive.

Close to everything.

It is walkable, convenient, right in town. We were there to pick up a motorcycle and the hotel was right next door to the motorcycle shop we were picking the bike up at so real convenient for us. We were in and out quickly.

Nice property. Newer hotel in excellent condition. Nice staff. Good breakfast buffet. Pizza place and a DQ within walking distance. Quiet and felt safe. Easy well lit parking.

The breakfast is the best! The menu is about what you would expect, nothing special - but the staff keeps it supplied, serviced, spotless and are especially cheerful.

Hotel was nice. Did not get a chance to use the bar. Breakfast was lacking for a breakfast area that large. Really disappointed in the breakfast

The room was great, very nice suite...I liked it okay. The check in and out was fast and exactly right, even with a completely booked hotel. The bar area with food was excellent pizza night and great beer choices. Cons: My room was across the hall to the bars, ladies room....very busy and big noisy door open/close until bar close. This master suite had no hand wipes of any kind in the room..?

The staff was friendly and kind. My only complaint DO NOT go to 44 lounge (the bar in the hotel) absolutely horrible service, the bartenders there act liked you’re a nuisance and seem annoyed to be serving you. I’ve been traveling all day and just wanted to eat. It took about 15 minutes just to get a menu. Got tired of waiting, so I paid for my one drink left and went to Burger King

Loved the great free breakfast. It had a lot of good choices and was very good. Liked the room. Very spacious and clean. Also was quiet.

Even tho there were a few problems they were fixed right away. We checked in Friday, Feb 17. Breakfast Sat and Sun was pretty bad. Everything was always out even 15 minutes after it started. Sat I went in back to ask for more eggs the worker was sitting in the counter playing on his phone. Took 40 minutes for more eggs. Sunday everything was cold and the worker just shrugged his shoulders. Monday the worker was amazing! He was running breakfast and the front desk alone and everything stayed stocked, hot and clean! He was super friendly and always had a smile. Wish I would have gotten his name. Thin guy with darker kinda curly hair! He was great! Pam that was working when we checked in was absolutely wonderful. She helped fix our concerns always with a smile. She definitely made check in easier! Room was very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Very good location, close to everything and close to freeway access!
