Advertising said pool and there was only outside pool, not open….advertising said suite and we expected 2rooms…. Woman at the continental breakfast was rude

Safe parking, speedy check-in, clean spacious room. Good variety for breakfast.

The outside pool was on the part of the building just off the highway so it was loud and not great for relaxing. It was a nice surprise to have hot options for breakfast. It was nice for a one night stop.

We enjoyed the outdoor pool but the interstate was pretty loud.

There was plenty of parking. Check on was quick and simple. Room is clean and smells clean.

Pool needed cleaning but had a good stay...

Stay was good, but the room was tiny and the bed was defiantly not a Queen. Morning desk clerk was super nice but didn't follow through with calling me about what size the bed actually was. Also the elevator would jerk to a stop on the 3rd floor almost every trip up in it, set my nerves on edge every trip and would have used stairs but the side door wouldn't open with either of our key cards.

Rooms were not great, very small. The pool was small, but nice.

Nice and clean room. Bathroom had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, lots of towels. Only challenges were strong deodorizer that made room smell irritating to our sinus, and one of the two beds sagged in the middle. Was adequate for one night stay. Coffee maker in lobby made nice cappuccino. Didn't try the breakfast.

I could not connect to the internet. The whole place smelled muggy. The floors were stained, the bathroom floor was cracked. There was a mostly used roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, The pillows were half sized. People were smoking right out the front door. It just felt dirty.

The property appeared clean, unfortunately, I ended up with bed bug bites from the stay. It’s a good thing I only stayed one night!!

First thing i did when i walked into the room was smash a cockroach on the counter. Room was not clean. Dirt buildup in every crack and crevasse you looked in.

I stayed at the Sonesta Essential in Blue Springs, MO, and unfortunately had a disturbing experience. I found a bed bug on my pillow, took photos, and immediately reported it to the front desk. Instead of a proper response (room change, inspection, or deep cleaning), I was simply given new blankets and told nothing could be done. Sleeping in that room felt unsafe and unacceptable. No apology, no accountability, and no solution was offered — just excuses. I also reached out to Expedia for support, but the hotel denied any refund or compensation. This situation shows a serious lack of hygiene, guest safety, and customer care. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I strongly urge management to take this issue seriously before more guests are affected.

The room (101) smelled like someone had been smoking in there even though it was a non-smoking room, the carpet was still wet from when they tried to clean it. There's absolutely no safety mechanism on the window on the first floor so anyone can climb into your room at night. Guests were up late talking loudly and slamming the door to the parking lot so we did not get much sleep

The beds were horrible. Woke up with stiff back borh morning's. There was so much humidity inside the room the carpet felt wet as did our clothing. It was strange as it was not humid outside. The walls and doors are ao thin we could hear everything outside of the room too.

Bathroom had black mold above the tub.

The room had so much humidity that caused the carpet to be very damp and smell so gross. The refrigerator smelled horrible that we could not use it. The shower/bathtub had a hole in it. Thank goodness we only slept there at night-

We had to move rooms because the water would not heat. They told us to wait like 15 mins for it to heat up, still wouldn’t. Wouldn’t change us rooms & it was already late. So finally the next morning we tried again. Still no hot water. We told the front desk again & they sent out a maintenance man & finally he told them we would have to get a new room. Which is whatever. It is what it is. So we get ready to head out for the day. After the Chiefs game was over we came back & showered/laid down. The next morning which was check up morning, I had moved some stuff over & then seen a roach crawling around. 😣😣😣 did not have the best experience here. Will not be back.

Room is very clean. Carpet and flooring appear new. Easy to use luggage carriers.

Biggest issue was the wifi which was down our entire 3 day stay

Very thin walls could hear everything from neighbors to the sides and above us. Room was clean and staff was very nice and friendly.

Overall this was a decent hotel. The room was a little small, particularly for an accessible room, but it had the needed amenities. Where it failed was the smell. We were given a room on the ground floor and as soon as we walked in, I knew I couldn't stay in that room. I spoke with the front desk and we were given a different room on floor 3 which smelled a little better but still had a very strong odor. We thought it might be coming from the AC unit but weren't sure. We were too tired to go look for a different hotel so we decided to stay. The room felt very humid the whole time we were there despite the AC running. Everything was just a little sticky. Breakfast was acceptable with several options. For a one night's stay, it was tolerable, but I wouldn't go back.

Standard room - needs updating

This was my 2nd stay at this hotel. Both times the AC was very inconsistent with temperature control....going from freezing to sweltering hot while set at one temp. Also, the breakfast options are non existent for people with dietary restrictions. Lastly, i had to call them bc it took so long for my security deposit to be refunded. Will not return.

For starters, the elevator was extremely slow, and there are only 3 floors, so I shouldn't have had to stand there for at least 2 minutes waiting for it. Once I got on the elevator, it also extremely dirty. When I got to the second floors, dogs were barking in the hallway at 10:13 pm and again around 10:30 pm. Extremely loud guests in the hallway at 10:15 pm. Upon entering, this is the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. The lamp shade was cracked all over and one of two bulbs was burnt out. The mattress was terribly uncomfortable and I could feel the springs popping out. Luckily, I brought my camping sleeping pad from a previous leg of my vacation, so I used that and placed it on the bed. The mattress was soiled (brown spots all over), and metal was protruding on the top corner of the mattress. Please replace this mattress for future guests! Don't expect privacy or quiet. The insulation all around is poor. You can hear traffic noise, trains, sounds from people in the rooms next to you (or the alarm clock at kept going off at 5:00 am), as well as sounds from the hallway. It's all good. I didn't want to sleep anyway. Insects in the tub. The TV remote was extremely sticky. I asked the receptionist if there was an extra one; there wasn't. He got a Ziploc bag for me so I could put the remote in the bag and use it. On a bright note, there was hot water and strong A/C. I would NOT recommend staying here, and it's beyond me how this place is rated 8.6 stars! Unbelievable.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Updates made to bathroom (not recent) were poorly done but bathroom was clean. Biggest issue was Wi-Fi was entirely unsecured. I was hoping to work for a few hours, but I did not want to log in on an unsecured network. Breakfast was okay - made a fresh waffle but otherwise somewhat limited.

So noisy, there is a motorcycle dealership right by it

The location was good, the room was extremely tiny almost like a box, and the bed spring was in my back all night. It didn’t seem super steady like the bed frame was super cheap.

Our queen room was very small.The bathroom door wouldn't shut. Swing bar lock on the door was broken. All of the furniture and lamps, etc were very dated and worn. Dust on some of the furniture, the bathroom floor had something dripped on it that had not been mopped up and room wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Carpet felt damp. If we were able to go to another hotel we would have but we couldn't find any available. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful. There was no iron in the room and the clerk made sure we had one taken to our room right away. Hotel was relatively quiet with the exception of some motorcycle rally next door at the Harley Davidson shop.

The room keys kept deactivating even when they were just laying on the counter in the room. Every day we had to have them reactivated. One day it happened twice

Staff was friendly but room keys would not work. Had to get them redone EVERY TIME we left the room and needed back in.

The staff, front desk young man, was very helpful and the room was clean and comfortable!!

Our room was covered in mold. From the lamp shades to the fridge to the wood framing. EVERYTHING had molding spots. The bed was a spring mattress so if you’re sleeping with someone else, you will sink into each other. The breakfast was alright other than the white long hair that we found in the eggs. The outdoors had stacks of construction plywood lying around. The lobby staff was friendly but house keeping came into our room at 9am to clean disregarding our “do not disturb” sign and the check out time being 11am. The area was busy this weekend and most hotels were sold out or we would’ve left to find a better place to stay.

The staff was helpful, even going above expectations by helping restore something that I had forgotten in the room.

This hotel is a great value for the money. The staff is exceptional, the property is well kept, and the rooms are comfortable and clean.

The beds were soft. Our room was set up nicely. When we first arrived, the tv wouldn't work but it got fixed the next day. Breakfast was simple, but good. The staff was nice. The few things that I didn't like was our hotel room key kept not working even though we kept it safely away from anything that may mess it up. I couldn't tell if the tub was dirtybor stained. The top drawer to the provided dresser kept opening up. One of the bed's boxspring didn't line up with the metal frame it was sitting on. I didn't see it until I hit my shun on it because blankets covered it. That really hurt. You do have to have a $100 deposit that I didn't know about. I wasn't prepared for that. I had to borrow money from my father in law to make sure I still had enough to feed my family. It didn't bother me...I actually liked that we were next to the Harley Davidson store. Overall, I do recommend and would stay again.

Upon arrival, the front desk worker was being brought food and he ignored the fact that i was at the desk. He wasn't pleasant or friendly. Put the paper down to sign it when i asked a question he was rude. Told me whete the elevator was, which i didn't see him piint to. I asked "where?" And he was snarky. I inquired about places to eat in the area and he was dismissive. I get that we all have lives outside of work etc. But the hotel chain isn't giving away a room for free - even if it was, the purpose of a front desk person goes beyond handing out a room key. Their job is to liaise with guests and be a welcome to visitors. I drove 10 hours and would have appreciated a cordial welcome and a polite interaction. He didn't share the breakfast thats supposed to be offered in the morning... Overall bad experience. The room hasn't been vacuumed for sure since at least the last guest. There was a bobbypin on the floor beside the bed, dust bunnies along the floor where thefan is, the bathroom doorframe has 'red stuff' smeared along the door. They need proper cleaners and someone to check it over.

The staff was rude and lied on multiple occasions. 3 different people. The pool was closed once for rain but the next day they hadn’t opened it even though they said it should’ve been. They told us we could have late checkout and then changed their mind that morning 15 minutes before checkout and said we needed to checkout because they booked our room. The managers were nice but it took 5 plus phone calls to managers, staff, and Expedia to get it straightened out. They wouldn’t give a full refund. Overall experience was horrific and we were kicked out at 11 even though they had told us 1pm was fine. We were planning on showering and doing guest laundry but were unable to do any of that or use the pool. Very disappointing stay.

Upon arrival they demanded a Security deposit of $100. Either in cash or charged to your credit card to be refunded in 10 days if any remaining balance after their unidentified charges.

The free breakfast was good, with eggs, potatoes, sausage, spinach, corn, a yogurt dispenser, cereal, toast, milk, juices, a drink machine (coffees, hot chocolate), tea, and probably some other things. Conveniently located next to the interstate, with restaurants and exit away.

Stayed 2 nights. Night one was quiet and great. Night 2 there was a large dog that barked off and on for a long time throughout the night. Also second morning we went down for breakfast with at 8:30 (ends at 9) and they were out of all hot breakfast item ansld were not making more. Addtionally milk was out so we couldnt have cereal. When we asked they said they were out leaving only toast as an option. After throwing dry cereal away the manager came over with the staff member who said there was no milk and they refilled it. Only after we decided to go find breakfast elsewhere. Seemed like the staff just didnt want to refill any breakfast items so close to breakfast ending even though a number if guests were still coming down.

The coffee machine had many choices and convenient. I didn't eat any breakfast. Property location was great for the event I attended

Staff was fine, we did not bring any concerns to the staff. The hotel overall didn’t smell nice, specifically on the 3rd floor and in our room on the 3rd floor. We found the smell coming directly from our air conditioner in the room. We shut it off and opened the window which got rid of the smell in minutes. And the night air was cool and refreshing. The breakfast was abysmal. It lasted until 9 but had very little to offer past 8. The room was tiny withy large furniture that wasn’t needed.

Breakfast was not good. It said eggs, potatoes and sausage but instead of potatoes they had corn and spinach.

The hotel was wonderful with great beds, clean room/bath and a wonderful woman who checked us in! She was fantastic & when asked, offered restaurants for dinner. The BBQ she recommended was delicious! There was a yogurt “bar” that served vanilla yogurt with granola, dried cranberries, and raisins for topping! All were very fresh and tastes delicious! There were plenty of fresh fruits available also. Very much enjoyed our stopover!!

Nice place. Would stay again, just stay away from those eggs! Eggs are super yuck!

We stayed here one night to attend a Royals game. The hotel is nice and the room was clean and quite. Air conditioner in the room was so good. They have the shower with shampoo, conditioner, body wash there for your use.

The room was clean and beds comfortable. We were very disappointed that the sausage and breakfast potatoes had not been heated thoroughly before putting it in the warmers and should not yet have been served. Staff were very gracious throughout and very apologetic with the breakfast. We would definitely stay again.

We had a nice stay. Room was clean. Lots of fresh towels and nice pillow choices on the bed and it was comfortable. Nice coffee machine downstairs, too. The breakfast offerings were nice as well.
