In Chicago for the weekend. The walk from the L station (La Salle) to the hotel was shorter than the walk from the gate to the O Hare L station. Every staff member from check in to concierge to housekeeping to check out were helpful. I had room 1002 (corner) with a nice view down Dearborn St. Room had a lot of light during the day. Loved the bathroom (rain shower head, two sink counter, mirror with dim lighting). Location was great for walking to museums and local restaurants. The hotel itself doesn't have a bar but Meli Cafe is attached and has full bar (nice for Saturday brunch drinks). To bad they close at 3PM. Will be returning to Chicago in 2025 and will definitely stay here.

Had a great room on the 6th floor. I have a bad back and have a zero gravity bed at home. Unfortunately I can’t bring my bed with me. But I slept like a dream in the bed we had. Nice cafe attached that we had breakfast at the following morning. Check in, check out and valet parking was super easy. We will definitely stay again on our next visit to Chicago.

We loved our stay. As with any property in Chicago, the biggest challenge is parking. They've got an excellent Valet service at $55 per night. I'd recommend it given we got a parking ticket the one time we tried to do something away from the walkable area and it was $90. The staff is friendly, responsive and professional. We will be back

Beautiful hotel, very clean, simple interior, and probably one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in, at a hotel! No bar though. Also, the fitness center is on the sixth floor, and it was right above our room so we could hear people dropping weights when they were working out in the early morning and late night. Maybe move it to another part of the hotel? Definitely recommend Meli Café for breakfast or lunch!

The hotel staff was excellent. They were friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and coupons and everything else. Our room was clean and great to get some work done as well as relaxing. And the gym was a nice plus since it rained on the day I needed to train for an upcoming race.

I was in town for riot fest. The hotel was very convenient to the museum area and dining. Very clean and pretty. Nice room for coffee/tea in the morning. I used spot hero to park my car for $10 around the corner. The valet is $55 at the hotel.

It was a nice property. The staff was excellent and it was very conveniently located by the lake, trains and downtown. The room was a little musty but it was really nice. As it is in any location in that area of Chicago, it is pretty noisy, but earplugs really help.

The hotel is almost great. WiFi is terrible. Rooms are new, spacious and comfy. The location is decent. Close to the metro and bus stations. The bathroom is huge. The only thing that really needs improvement is the wifi, looks like from the early 2000. Free wifi is 3 to 5 Mbps, paid wifi is 10 Mbps. Wanted to back up some photos real quick, I couldn't. Had to go to a restaurant to do so. For 2025, I would expect at least 50-100 Mbps free, and 200+ for paid wifi.

Property was okay. The AC had a hard time keeping up in the room due to the extreme heat. Rooms were quiet and spacious. Layout of the toilet to the shower was very inconvenient. Had a huge building outside of window. It was decent if you can get it at a good price but it wasn't worth spending a lot of money, unless for comviience. Large fridge with freezer was a plus.

The location is wonderful and the hotel is well kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. I could not get the TV to work or the WiFi to connect. The bathroom floor flooded when I took a showed and it was very slippery when I got out of the shower.

Taylor and Al from the Sales team were incredibly gracious and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our time in the city. Al, with his million-dollar smile, didn’t just greet us once—he made a point to say hello every single day we passed through the lobby. That kind of consistency and care truly stood out. Gregory and Michael also went above and beyond to assist us with transportation, making it easy to explore the city without stress. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Every detail of our stay reflected the staff’s commitment to excellence and hospitality. I genuinely can’t say enough good things about The Blake Hotel. I will absolutely be staying here again. It almost got ruined when my Uber driver started to take off while I was halfway in the car, a gentleman named Michael who was on the staff of the hotel saw what was happening and stopped the driver…totally saved me from being seriously hurt or worse!! Hotel Blake treated us like family!

Sheritta at the front desk checked me in and Tim checked me out. They were uniformly fast and thorough at their jobs and made me feel welcomed and appreciated. Both responded promptly to my intervening (and sometimes odd) inquiries using their messaging concierge service. Five stars! Michael and Showtime helped with my bags. I remembered them both from my previous stay - their hospitality was one of the reasons I returned and why I will continue to do so. Five stars! Meli Cafe was great for breakfast both mornings of my quick trip; generous portions at reasonable price; quietly attentive and outstanding service. Five stars!

The bellman, Showtime, and front desk, Alex were fantastic. Showtime gave full explanation of room and layout, responded with many option to my query about restaurants. During the efficient and smooth checkin, Alex said he would follow up by text so I would have 24/7 ability to contact front desk with questions and concerns. He did exactly as promised. He was good as his word, answering questions promptly no matter what time. As did others at the front desk if Alex was off duty. It was my first time in Chicago and these two made my solo travel welcoming and safe. No to mention, Meli’s Cafe next door and Gino’s East Pizza across the street.

Hotel Blake is a fantastic option when staying in the Loop in downtown Chicago. Great location within the city and close proximity to all the train lines. Staff was super kind and helpful. Room was great, no complaints at all. Surprisingly good coffee available for guests each morning. Would definitely stay here again!
