Quality Inn Mishawaka - South Bend

Rooms were very clean, daily housekeeping and great staff. However the breakfast was pretty terrible just waffles yoghurt and coffee with cinnamon rolls. Juice machine had no juice in it. Laundry was out of order I imagine always “out of order” Hallways were very warm no AC but rooms had AC. Dishtv

Lobby was very worn down. No elevator to get to the second floor. Room was okay but the bathroom toilet looked like it had not been cleaned.

Dirty room and the property needs done attention. No pantry and either broken or empty vending machines.

The service was good, and the continental breakfast was decent. The only problem was the hotel did not have any quarters for the laundry machines. I could not do my laundry.

We were in town for the national baton twirling championships at the same time as a world series event for baseball, so most hotels were booked. We just needed one night on our way out of town since our first hotel didn’t have availability for the last night we were there. Check in went fine, but the staff was difficult to understand and communicate with. Disappointed that there was no elevator, and the condition of the parking lot and landscaping is quite poor. There was a huge wet spot on the carpeting in the hall, not sure I want to know what it is from, and the room had a very strange and stale smell to it when first entering. The room itself was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast options seem very limited. There were a lot of baseball families there that probably were at breakfast before we were in the morning and the garbage was overflowing by the time we got there and didn’t look like it would be changed over anytime soon. Box fans were going in the lobby area, which was probably for circulation, but doesn’t lend to an overall good look/first impression.

Room smelled bad and was very hot. Improved when air was out on for awhile. Back door lock was broken to enter. Somewhat clean room halls and facility was very worn with scratches on floor and some tiles broken.

Property is completely average. Lobby is badly in need of a refresh and the drive and parking lot need a repaving. The only thing that saves it from a lower rating is that the rooms are satisfactory, despite the bathrooms being tiny. Staff that is there is helpful and courteous, but they are woefully understaffed.

The hotel is dated, with old floors and stairs. The hotel does not have an elevator and low water pressure in the shower. But the mattress was excellent, the room was clean, which trumps most everything else.

Out room air conditioner did not work, did not get fixed until next day. It was humid and made sleeping miserable. No other rooms available. No elevator in hotel at all, had to hoof all bags up a flight of stairs, felt bad for customers that were older or had a bunch of bags.

There were bugs everywhere there was fecal matter in the bathroom. There was trash left in the room. It was disgusting. We would never return.

Disgusting and unsafe.Doors wouldn’t lock correctly. Another room smelled like smoke. Would never recommend nor stay there again.

This may have been the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in. Carpets were stained with something red, in many different spots. The floor of the bathroom had pubic hairs still on it. Mold in the cracks of the sink, stains on the bed spreads, a smell of mildew in the room, broken and cracked furniture and some strange substance inside the A/C unit which kept us from trusting using it. The TV remote only turned the TV on and off and adjusted the volume, but it wouldn't change channels.

The room was clean, the staff was very friendly, and they had daily room cleaning.

The air conditioning did not cool the room or take out any humidity. The microwave just about started a fire when we tried to use. The room was celan but bathroom needed more attention. When we got there, the tub and sink had hair in it and I had to kill a few bugs

This hotel was horrible! Stay there only if it is the last hotel available!!! -The room was dirty. -The AC was loud and smelled like mold. -The bathroom sink was broken and was leaking on the bath towels! The towels that were not wet were dirty and had orange spots on them! -The towel bar was missing from the wall like somebody tore it off, you could see the holes in the wall! The drop ceiling tiles in front of our room were caved in from water damage and there was mold growing from them! This is absolutely the worst hotel I have been in my life!!!

Newly remodeled and very clean. Staff is very friendly. Stayed four nights for the Notre Dame football game which is about ten minutes away. Would definitely stay there again.

The carpets were stained like crazy, The bed wasn't clean and then there were bugs that ran across the floor as soon as I got in there.

This property was not super clean. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke. The bathroom fan was so loud it sounded like a blender. The TV report was duck taped.

Do not stay here if you like to sleep somewhere clean. Our carpet floor had dry blood splattered all over it. Also blood stains on the lamp shade and sheets. It looked like a murder scene. Our bed was made but the sheets and comforter were dirty and just plain disgusting. We had to get new linens from the front desk. Paid WAY to much to stay here because it’s close to Notre Dame Stadium. I guess this hotel knows the rooms are gonna book up anyways so they don’t care if their rooms are disgusting. Will never stay here again!!

Seems like they are updating. Front entrance is nice. But once past the entrance the smell of the carpet about made me throw up. Room even smelled bad. Had to use my cologne to freshen it up. Carpet was nasty.

They gave us a room with a broken blow dryer,yellow towels, broken toilet paper holder, a huge hole punched in the door. They did tell us there was a hole AFTER we checked in, walking to our room and there was no other room on the 1st floor. Since there was no elevator, we had to be in the first floor due to a medical issue we called ahead about. Multiple stains in the carpet and other holes in the wall. We have stayed here for 5 years and they always had a near and eggs at breakfast. Due to dietary issues we can’t have waffles and yogurt. This trip they kept saying the food truck was delayed and coming later. It never showed. At check out; the manager said they haven’t had meat and eggs since Covid. Yet they had it every time we came from 2021 until fall of 2024. So not a true statement. Also the WiFi did not reach our end of the hall so I was not able to work two days I was there and just burned the days off. When said there was smell of pot and a barking dog, they told me they never smelled it or heard the dog. I guess I imagined it, two days in a row. Very disappointed as we have stayed at this hotel multiple times and had good stays. But when the checked in I should have realized it was different when the person checking us in had on a shirt that said “IDK, I DONT CARE, IDGAF”. It was graduation weekend and no other rooms to be found and this room was prepaid. So we had no choice but stay

Booked a king size room and was given 2 doubles. Water pressure in shower was subpar. Weird, musty smell throughout hotel. Came down for free breakfast and staff had already put food away before serving time was over.

Friendly staff very accommodating, very clean hotel

The person at the desk was rude. He also tried to run my sister's credit card fir more money. The bank said he ran the card 10 times fir different amounts. She had to close her card and get a new one.

Loved the stay! Receptionist was an awesome lady! Very friendly. We made a quick trip for a funeral. After driving over 550 miles, when we finally made it to our room to sleep, we never heard a sound outside of our room. Recommend to anyone. When we are back in thd area, we know we will stay again.

Loved availability for ND football weekend. Good value and clean. Front desk staff not friendly. Other than front desk staff, hotel stay was great.

Manager and staff were horrible to us. Worst customer service I have ever encountered in a hotel. His check in clerk messed up and didn’t give us a form to fill out for having a dog. We didn’t know we don’t work there. He then locked us out of our room with the dog inside making us sign a form and paying him $200 for neglect saying we had a pet! We told her we had a dog. It was ridiculous.

Stayed at this hotel for a friends trip to Notre Dame football game. Nice hotel close to some restaurants. Staff was amazing seemed like an older hotel could use some updates but would forsure stay there again.

The place is a bit aged and has an odor, but not bad for the price and location.

Average for a Quality Inn and had no coffee until 6:30am which is kinda odd...BUT let me tell you, the service is unbelievable on Mornings and Evenings! Thise ladies were absolute delights to talk to! Keep them happy, because those 2 are pretty special.

Lobby was OK, but hallway carpeting is threadbare. Breakfast just OK, not great. Our room had a stained bedspread, and dingy looking towels in the bathroom. The pillows were very small for a king size bed, and the headboard does not meet the mattress so hit my head on the edge of the headboard.
