It was okay, nothing crazy, cozy enough, had air conditioning, really nice manager, but random spots on the sheets and blankets, and the chain lock/bolt lock was broken off

Property in disrepair and poor condition. Sloppy paint job in room. Bed cover visibly unclean. Fixtures missing. Not enough water pressure to wash shampoo out of my hair. Noisy - less than 50 yards from a MCDonalds drive-through. Tolerated overnight for less than 12 hrs because traveling with dog and just needed somewhere to sleep. I knew, before staying, that RR Inns are “hit or miss” and picked the property largely due to pet policy and price. This RR Inn property is definitely “a miss” & I wouldn’t stay here again.

We were traveling and needed someplace to stay overnight. We were able to book at the last minute. The person who checked us in was gracious. The steps up to our room were uneven; the top 2 steps were taller than the rest. I tripped and skinned my shin. The owner expressed sorrow at my injury and gave me band aids.

Red Roof Inn used to be a really good place, no matter where you were. This one was a dump. While it was clean, the room was in disrepair. Water damage to the walls in the bathroom. The electrical was tripping breakers if you dared turn on the coffee pot and the fridge was dirty. Its not like it was in a bad area. Right next to Walmart and all kinds of restaurants, McDonalds connected to the parking lot. It looked like it was well filled as there was only two empty slots in the parking lot. Just looks poorly managed.

The room had a weird smell. There was limited amount of towels. There was a dead stink bug hanging from the curtain. The fridge was dirty and the coffee maker had used coffee pods that have obviously been there for some time. The bathroom was decently clean. The tv was not working, but since our stay was a short one and we had a late check in, I didn't bother to call the staff to fix it.

This was the nastiest place I have ever stayed. They were rude. We asked to switch rooms because of bugs on the walls and the ceiling and were told the manager would be upset. We finally switched rooms and it was just as bad. Bugs on the walls, hair in the sink. Dirty towels, people walking outside room all Night smoking pot which got sucked into our room by the air conditioner. Beds had huge stains. We actually left on the second night and got a room across the street. This place needs to be shut down by the health dept.

I was very disappointed in my stay. The cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired and there was a weird odor in the linens. People were smoking cigarettes outside and it came right under the door making my allergies flare up. This will be my last stay at a Red Roof Inn.

I've typically had good experiences at Red Roof inns. My experience at the Scottsburg IN location was an outlier. The property appears to be suffering from substantial neglect in the areas of cleanliness and maintenance. The overall condition of the room that I was given was very bad. It not only looked like it hadn't been cleaned after the last guest used it, it appeared as if it hadn't been properly cleaned in months, if not years. The floors had accumulated filth in the corners. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a long time as there was evidence of use by previous guests on the toilet, shower, and floors. The walls, bed spreads, and shower curtain had dark stains of uncertain origin. The sink trap leaked onto the floor and there was a crusty spot on the floor under the sink from where it leaks. On the plus side, the water pressure in the shower was good, the bed sheets were clean, and the location was convenient and felt secure. Conclusion : The property could benefit from a refresh including some professional maintenance, replacement of worn out room furnishings, and staff training on how to properly and thoroughly clean rooms between guests.

We stayed in room 201 and the lights randomly popped on in the room 7 times between 12 am and 6 am. This creeped me out and I got very little sleep. The 3 pillows on the bed were awful and small. I went to the front desk in the morning to tell them about the light issue and a very old woman who spoke no English was of no assistance which was frustrating. Lastly, a male housekeeper knocked and walked in instantly even after I hollered "occupied." It was 9:45 and check out is 11. We were two women traveling together and this made an uncomfortable experience even more so. I would NOT stay here again.

Excellent bedding. Good temperature control. Clean conditions. Quiet. Recommendation: Do not allow cars or trucks to back into parking spaces. This causes vehicle exhaust to blow into the heating/cooling units and into the room. Carbon monoxide from exhaust could endanger clients who may be sleeping while vehicle is running.

This place is a dump. They don’t mop they don’t clean good and they have a very, very bad attitude upfront. The lady is just obnoxiously rude. I will never stay here again and I would never recommend please go elsewhere.

Manager was rude. Wanted my credit card for "incedentles". I refused to give it to him telling him that there wasn't going to be any incedentals. The room smelled like smoke. There were people smoking and drinking on the balcony above the room. Wouldn't recommend that place to anyone.

I didn't like the room by the stairs going up to the 2nd floor! Somebody was sitting on the stairs jabbering on their phone & smoking. Sounded like they were on a loud speaker 🔇🔇
