Days Inn by Wyndham Denver Downtown

This is an extremely subpar Days Inn. The only redeeming factor is that the room itself was clean. The neighborhood it is in is very sketchy and I wouldn’t leave the hotel at night. They have a parking lot as part of their property, but they charge you to park there. I have stayed at many Days Inns before and they never charged you to park in their parking lot. The lobby just looked worn and dirty, as did the elevator, with food spilled in it and grime and graffiti on the walls. I was on the third floor and in 90° weather the elevator conked out with no alternative to get down other than taking the stairs. Someone had spilled a bowl of cereal on the stairs, so it was gummy and slippery and definitely a falling hazard. The free breakfast offers nothing hot and no fresh fruit. So if you like a questionable muffin, you’ll be all good. Coffee was offered, thank God, but in Styrofoam cups, so definitely not eco-friendly. The people at the front desk were very nice though.

The last day there the elevators were not working, the welcome mat needs to be replaced or deep clean

Located near a lot of restaurants within walking distance of a lot of things. The surrounding area has definitely cleaned up from the last time we were here. Continental breakfast was all cold options such as cereal but for the price it was worth it for. Sure. Parking can be an issue if you don’t get a spot early. Our room was clean and comfortable. We stayed two nights.

Hotel parking is limited but seems safe. Room was no frills but comfortable for the night. Chose hotel because it was across the street from the theater so the walk across the street after the concert was ideal and we did get a parking space on the property.

The property seems to be in transition - upgrading and renovating certain parts of their property. Our room was clean, comfortable, and appears to have been recently painted. Other areas of the property are 'in process'. Staff were friendly and helpful in the ways they could assist.

Parking area was way too small.

Cot was child size, pretty small for an adult. Sink was outside bathroom so you had to turn on light at sink to see in the bathroom, which lit up the room. Affected sleep. No fan in bathroom. Supposed to have free parking but when we arrived I had to pay $15 per day. Unsatisfactory stay.

The provided breakfast was a joke. While the room had been recently upgraded, it still lacked attention to detail and needed additional cleaning. The surprise $15 parking fee was not appreciated either!

It was a room for the night, and it was totally adequate for the purpose. I was surprised that I had to pay $15 to park my car. Oh, and Google Maps tried to take me in through the back alley and through a fence.

The staff was friendly but our room was not clean. The floor literally smelled like pee and when we noticed the dirtiness of the floor we all checked out socked and our socks were black underneath. Other peoples stuff was also left in the room.

Arriving, the desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Room was clean but showing signs of age. Public areas were not clean or well maintained. Breakfast was disappointing; had to ask for more coffee, fruit was not good looking, they ran out of yogurt & juice boxes early. Morning desk clerk was surly. Mattress in room was not very comfortable. Parking was limited. Neighborhood was NOT a problem, it's a midtown hotel in a diverse community. Theaters and attractions nearby!

It was a very nice stay. Room was extra clean and comfy. I will stay there again.

Check in was smooth, staff were very nice. This hotel is very convenient after seeing a show at the Ogden, right across the street. Nice to have onsite parking available since street parking is hard to find. Off of Colfax so of course it's noisy, but that's just the location and the AC drowned out most of the noise. Nice, clean room, looked like it had recently been remodeled.

Room was dirty with Pubic hair everywhere and on the bed. The front desk was rude. I had to watch them remake the bed.

I stayed here because my basement flooded. I needed a place to crash until the emergency work crew cleaned out all the sewage and repaired the pipes. The front desk receptionist was very kind to me. The room was clean and comfortable. It's overpriced because it's downtown Denver but it's half the cost of any other hotel down there and because of that. Accommodations are basic but I felt safe here. It's on East Colfax which is going to be loud and attract colorful characters. If you've never been to Denver and you don't know what to expect from Colfax then you might find the noise and chaos of the city overwhelming. For me, I have a special place in my heart for Colfax and I enjoyed the people watching. Great food nearby. Try the Pita place/Hookah bar or sliceworks pizza.

The bed was absolutely horrible! A king size that was likely worn out 10 years ago. I love my partner but to be forced into the middle of a bed because it is so worn out is unacceptable

Ok. But ask for a room facing the parking lot. The back side faces a very loud dance club.

We had a pretty good stay. We paid for the parking and I'm glad we did - lots of homeless in the area. The room was pretty clean and spacious, no fridge or microwave in the room but that was ok because we had coolers. Plenty of food options within walking distance.

The rooms were updated but the mattress was very uncomfortable (cheapest they could buy) The bathroom is tiny, if your a bigger person you probably won’t be able to shut the door It’s very loud and a lot of transient hanging around sleeping all over the neighborhood (felt unsafe) No refrigerator or microwave

Everything was great except for the exceptionally hard beds. The area is busy but the rooms block the sound very well. Very happy with the stay other than the hard bed.

So I stayed here and of all the places I have ever stayed at this has been one of the most expensive places... and not in a good way. the rooms are small, beds were just a springy box with the absolute minimum of cushioning, 3 pillows that felt like they were filled rolled up socks, no microwave, no toiletries besides shampoo, toilet was constantly running which you can't hear over the loudest a/c unit I've ever used. the bathroom is terrible... no cover for the light bulb so just bare socket and bulb exposed to a wet/humid environment. I'm sure that is safe.... on top of that... if you do use the shower there are 2 vents in there which would be great if either one of them worked. on top of the cost of the room they still have the nerve to charge you $15 per day and it's not even a guaranteed spot. one of the most irritating things is they charge you an "incidental" fee that was supposed to be refunded after check out....which for me it's been several calls from me, several excuses from staff/management, and still no refund. so with everything the cost for a 2 night stay is at over $200 per night which is absolutely insane for such a garbage room. I honestly can say... avoid this place at all costs.

There’s a bar right next to this hotel that had incredibly loud music till 3 am

You should tell people it’s a motel not a hotel. Also is crazy loud Thursday night through Saturday night with all the bars in full swing.

Booked this room as a days inn thinking it was a hotel, it’s not, it’s a motel. It looks ok but when you look closer you can see the wear and tear. It was clean and quiet and slept great there. The sink needed repair and a noise would come from the fridge area every few hours or so that went “KERKLUNK!!!” The whole time. The first time it scared us then we started calling it the fridge ghost, still have no clue what the noise was. Couple shady people around, wouldn’t want to stay alone as a female without my husband but honestly it did its job.

The front desk and owner were very helpful. They really came through for me. The room well very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast hit the spot. I will definitely stay here again.

It took forever to get a room but the gentleman t the front was very accommodating to the customers waiting for rooms. Check in is at 3 didn’t get access to my room until nearly 7. Not complaining just informing

When I arrived the desk clerk was talking on her phone and seemed visibly annoyed when I checked in. The mattress was trash and the pillows were garbage. There was a night club literally 25 ft from my room that was playing loud music till 2am. I stepped on a toenail clipping from a previous guest that cut my foot. Was so disgusted I almost threw up. Never again will I stay there.

The management and staff are what make this particular Days Inn special. They’re very professional, welcoming and go out of their way to be helpful. The room was nice and clean. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

This was a great place located in cap hill. Spite all the traffic and noise it was a clean and quiet place that has a friendly and professional staff. Housekeeping was the best. If I needed towels or anything they were so accommodating.

Trevor was amazing, super kind and helpfull. He put that extra mile to check me in. I'm definitely coming back.

STAFF WAS NOT HELPFUL WHEN ASKED FOR HELP OR INFORMATION. MORE CONCERNED USING THEIR CELLULARS THAN ANSWERING AREA QUESTIONS i.e. LOCAL PLACES TO EAT AND AREAS OF INTEREST. REQUESTED A ROOM WITH 2 QUEEN SIZE BEDS AND RECEIVED A ROOM WITH 2 DOUBLES. I SCHEDULED A 2 NIGHT STAY ROOM RATE CHANGED FROM THE TIME WE RESERVED THE ROOM AND CHECK BUT WAS LATER ADJUSTED TO AGREED RATE...WE LEFT AT 0800 AND RETURNED 1700 AND ROOM HAD NOT BEEN ATTENDED TO (LEFT IN THE SAME CONDITION AS WE LEFT IT..HOUSEKEEPING DID NOT REPLACE TOWELS OR MAKE UP BEDS. WE HAD A COFFEE MAKER BUT NO COFFEE OR SUGAR/CREAMER) WHEN ASKED FOR THESE ITEMS TOLD HOUSEKEEPING SHOULD HAVE TAKEN CARE OF IT BUT SINCE WE WERE CHECKING OUT IT DIDNT MAKE A DIFFERENCE...MILK CONTAINER FOR COFFEE/CEREAL IN LOBBY WAS ONLY HALF FILLED JUICES WERE EITHER EMPTY OR HALF FILLED... I THINK YOU GOT THE IDEA THAT IT WASNT A PLEASANT STAY

Good location. But not the best part of town.

The area around this hotel is rundown and under construction. If you plan to stay at this hotel and sleep past 8am, think again because the road directly in front of the hotel is under construction. There also seems to be an increase in homeless in the area.

If you want a quiet night's sleep, this is not the place to stay: constant traffic noise and sirens throughout the night. The hotel is on the main road, Colfax Ave, which is very busy. There are lots of homeless people in the area, and they will ask you for money. The surrounding area has lots of trash around the streets and pavement. This is, after all, a 2-star hotel, but I expected better.

You’ll be tempted to book this hotel because it’s semi close to downtown Denver, and the price is nice. However, sometimes you get what you pay for. The room was clean, but the check in was slow and confusing. Our keys didn’t work, and neither did two other guests’. The most important thing to know about this hotel is that it’s in an unsafe area. If you’re traveling alone, esp if you’re a young lady, you probably don’t want to book this hotel. It’s only 1 mile from downtown, easily walkable, but wouldn’t recommend doing it alone or after dark. I’ll spring for the nicer hotel next time!

Nice hotel for the location. I wouldn't rate the neighborhood as 5 stars but they had decent security. Great location if your a young concert goer at the ogden across the street.

Should be priced like a cheap motel. It’s on a sketch street with homeless and drug users everywhere close by the hotel. I’m from the San Francisco area and it would be like being near the Tenderloin area

Did not state that it costs $15 to park in their lot. The hotel was right next to a strip club and our room was directly outside of it, music from club was very loud most of the night. The homeless population outside the hotel was large and made coming and going uncomfortable.

Place is ok. For a night, is not safe for family or single people. Hotel was clean and nice. I just around is not good.

Great check in and across the street from the Fillmore and Ogden!

This motel is rundown and has not been taken care of. I can tolerate that if the conditions are reflected in the price, but this Days Inn is charging a premium price for an old motel with no amenities. No fridge in the room, very few towel, soap, plastic cups, etc. The alleged breakfast that is supposed to be included contained nothing more than some extremely old cereal and a container of orange juice. On top of it all, they charged for parking despite the high room rate. Would not stay here again.

Pros: It was clean, staff was helpful, convenient location, price was much lower than others in area. Cons: room was small, breakfast was very basic, lots of homeless and addicts on street in area and at convenience store (but not threatening in any way.) If you are on a budget I recommend this hotel.
