This is a beautiful hotel reasonably priced with a good location. We did not mind at all paying $15 for parking on site. It was easy and convenient.

Badly in need of renovations, there was a piece of flooring sticking up that we both kept tripping on in our room. The $21 parking charge is ridiculous, shouldn't that just be included in our stay like every other hotel in the area. I could have just parked across the street for free.

We usually stay at AC Hotels because they are nice, clean, and have a great European-style breakfast. This was our first time staying at the AC Hotel Kansas City Plaza, and it will be our last. The hotel staff was friendly, but seemed distracted and not attentive. The lobby area looks nice, but as soon as we arrived on our floor and the elevator opened, we could tell the hotel wasn't in good shape. Our room was very “used,” and while we didn't notice any dirt, it looked very grungy. There was flooring coming up off the floor, and big gaps in between the planks, which hurt if you stepped on them. The tile in the bathroom appeared to have experienced some significant issues in the past. One of the elevators didn't work for the entire three nights of our stay, which meant there was only one elevator for all the guests and housekeeping. So, it was nearly impossible to get an elevator, which made checking out a challenge as we had to wait a long time to bring our suitcases down. We added breakfast to our reservation because we have historically enjoyed it when staying at AC Hotels. However, we one got breakfast our first morning due to it being quite “sad.” The fruit looked old, and the selection wasn't very good. Unfortunately, the next time we visit KC, we will not be staying at the AC Hotel Kansas City Plaza.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Upon our arrival we were told that there we no single-bed rooms available, so we had to stay in a room with 2 doubles. The lovely lady checking us in gave us a voucher for a free breakfast the next morning. The next afternoon I asked if there were any rooms available with a king bed and there was, so we were able to switch rooms. John the bartender makes a great old fashioned and his process is fun to watch! The only negative was that there is no pool.

I would have given a 5 star, but my room wasn’t very clean when I checked in. There was a shoe print on the bed cover on one of the beds and the shower didn’t look clean. I like that there is a locked parking lot and it only costs $15 per night to park there.

I arrived in the afternoon but just quickly dropped off luggage and went to a 6 hour meeting. Returned about 10 PM and went to bed. The following morning when I got up and light was streaming through the windows, I realized how filthy the floors were. The staff at front desk were friendly.

Everything was great expect the fact that my room was dirty, dusty and the floors were sticky as they didn’t clean correctly. Overall everything was not bad however I don’t think I’ll come back due to the lack of cleaning.

The staff were very friendly - especially at the front desk, breakfast attendant, and bartender. The room design was very functional for modern design - master light switch, task lighting at the bedside, mirror on the bedroom side. However I was disappointed at the cleanliness and bed quality. The floor was a little sticky, air filter (visible) was dirty, and there was someone else’s leftover food in the fridge (I could see how housekeeping missed it). The bed spring made noise when I sat/laid in bed. It wasn’t uncomfortable, but felt a little lumpy. I hope management can address the cleanliness for future guests. It’s a great property. PS - love the mural outside.

The room had a good view, was cozy, and clean. I'm giving it 3 stars because the floor felt sticky and the toilet had visible urine from several days ago. The bathroom door isn't very private if you're traveling with family. Other than that, it's very nice and the breakfasts are good. I didn't report anything to the restroom. Honestly, after so many hours of driving on the highway, the best thing you can hope for is to arrive and rest in a CLEAN place. It's uncomfortable.. Other than that, it's a good place.

The guest room finishes did not hold up. The vinyl plank floor is worn around the edges from buckling. Also room I was in did not have a window you could look out. Frosted glass. Awful when you want to see what king of day it is.

It’s fine. The beds are comfortable, the area is pretty quiet. The rooms are tiny and I wish the sink was actually IN the bathroom. The big glass door to the bathroom was awkward.

Rebecca at the front desk is an absolute gem! I cannot say enough good things about how helpful and wonderful she was to our family. Room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is the bathroom door. There is a large gap and with the chrome frame you can see the reflection of whoever is in the bathroom. Otherwise our stay was perfect.

The water pressure was low, the top overhead shower head did not work. They only brought us towels one time for a 3 night stay and did nothing else. A food truck was parked outside of our window until 3:30 am one night / early morning. The removeable shower nozzle did not want to stay in a good position to shower.

I had a very mixed experience at this property. The first and last impressions were the most disappointing with check-in and breakfast. At check-in it took the front desk associate more than 5 minutes to notice that I was standing right in front of him. Wasn't friendly or welcoming at all. Her and what I assume to be the interim sales manager were the absolute highlights of my stay. Made me feel right at home and gave me recommendations to explore the local area. Breakfast was quite disappointing as it was worse than the free breakfast offered at most hotels.Warm meat and cheese and burnt coffee, not great.

Was really crappy service. Had feces stains in the room and they wouldn’t give us a new room nor a refund so had to book somewhere else And was not able to get a refund on the room my party didn’t even spend an hour in. Don’t recommend at all!

The hotel was totally fine except a GritNGravy foodtruck with a deafening generator was parked out front. They got almost no customers, but didn't turn off their generator until midnight. Make sure you don't get a room near the street!!!

Not the fanciest room, but it was good in all the ways that matter. The beds were very comfortable, the room and bathroom were clean and convenient and had soft water. There is fenced parking so I wasn’t worried about my car. It was a good price and it was 10 minutes from the Midland Theatre where our concert was. It was also 10 minutes from The Plaza with lots of shopping and restaurants!

The bar area was nice, but that was our highlight. The staff did not seem to know what they were doing. Our bathroom did not work. We usually stay at AC Hotels because they are nice, clean, and have a great European-style breakfast. This was our first time staying at the AC Hotel Kansas City Plaza, and it will be our last. The hotel staff was friendly, but seemed distracted and not attentive. The lobby area looks nice, but as soon as we arrived on our floor and the elevator opened, we could tell the hotel wasn't in good shape. Our room was very “used,” and while we didn't notice any dirt, it looked very grungy. There was flooring coming up off the floor, and big gaps in between the planks, which hurt if you stepped on them. The tile in the bathroom appeared to have experienced some significant issues in the past. One of the elevators didn't work for the entire three nights of our stay, which meant there was only one elevator for all the guests and housekeeping. So, it was nearly impossible to get an elevator, which made checking out a challenge as we had to wait a long time to bring our suitcases down. We added breakfast to our reservation because we have historically enjoyed it when staying at AC Hotels. However, we one got breakfast our first morning due to it being quite “sad.” The fruit looked old, and the selection wasn't very good. Unfortunately, the next time we visit KC, we will not be staying at the AC Hotel Kansas City Plaza.

Only complaint was poor housekeeping. However when I mentioned the lackluster service to our room the manager refunded one night’s room charge. Otherwise the stay was very enjoyable. Continental style breakfast in the morning was exceptional!

Due to the construction, getting to the hotel was terrible. The address we were given didn’t take us to the hotel but instead to a neighborhood. The second day our key card just quit working for the room so we had to go back down to the front desk to get a new one. The room was clean and quiet.
