Phoenix Court Hotel

The booking in took some time as there wasn’t any one in reception we didn’t arrive early a little after 3pm . We were let inside the property by a guest , when the manager came she told us we shouldn’t be inside and should have waited outside until her arrival, The Room wasn’t ready so we had an extra wait for that , the pictures on hotel web site do not reflect the true state of the hotel it needs a bit more attention to detail carpets are old and worn there’s a bit of a damp smell in reception , our was big a decent sized room with a double bed and wc , again a bit tiered but served a purpose. We had an ok sleep due to the bed been softer than I like but that is my own issue . The sea view was ok . Heating controlled by the property our room was a bit chilly so went out for a chilly walk , when we returned our room was nice and warm . Due to the rude attitude and greeting we got we shall not return, I was a second away from asking for a refund and looking elsewhere.

Lovely room with great sea views. Private parking is a bonus and rate in Scarborough. Lovely welcome and freshly cooked breakfast to order.

Well positioned hotel in the North Bay. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great having a car park. Breakfast very nice and well presented and plenty of choice.

Lovely welcome to this charming hotel, we arrived a little early, but our room was ready and was able to park in the car park. Good for visiting open air theatre, love the honesty drinks fridge in the residents lounge. Very good breakfast, would definitely stay again

Friendly welcome and hotel was clean and tidy, yes maybe a little dated but did what it said on the tin and in a great location close to the open air theatre and local pubs and restaurants. Would happily stay again.
