The room had a smell to it when we walked in and the couch seems to have some stains on it. Pool was a perfect size for kids but small for a large amount of people. Check in was really easy. Hotel is in a great location. Close to gurnee mall and six flags.

Stayed here for my son's graduation from RTC Great Lakes. Thankful for the 6:45 am shuttle to the ceremony which got us there in plenty of time to get a good seat in front of his division. Rooms had plenty of space for two adults and three teens. We spent one day hanging around the hotel as our new sailor needed a lounge day, and the room was big enough to feel comfortable hanging out. Breakfast was fine and plentiful. Coffee was just so-so, but it was hot and did the trick. I chose hot tea over coffee after the first day. Eggs were fine and sausage was tasty, as were the waffles. Fruit, yogurt, and granola also available. Thank you for keeping a water dispenser available and full in the lobby! Pool was indoors, and open, but not heated. My kids still used it :) Parking was very easy and free.

The pool was chilly and small. There wasn’t a hot tub. But outside of that, the facility was excellent! Would definitely stay here again. I gave the area around the property a 3 for neutral…but only because I never feel safe going out alone in a strange town.

We had a great stay at this hotel! It was so clean and the staff was super friendly. The breakfast was great and there was a staff member ensuring it eas well stocked. My daughter used the pool, which was very clean (just a bit chilly for her preference). We will definitely be back.

We stayed here for the Navy graduation. The location of the hotel was good, with a lot of stores and eateries nearby. The lobby and elevators were clean. There were some stains on the hallway carpets . I feel like the rooms could have been cleaner . The shower had a slow drain and the water was accumulating in the bottom of the tub during our showers . The iron in the room didn’t work but the staff gladly exchanged it . The staff at the desk was friendly . I feel since this was a Marriott hotel it could have been a little better.

Stayed at SpringHills Suites various times in many locations and always a pleasant experience- until now. This location seems old and run-down and uncared for. Furniture is kind of thrown into corners, like placing it thoughtfully wasn’t a thing. Windows had condensation between the glass. Bathroom in assigned room wasn’t clean (pee all over toilet) so we were moved. 2nd room had a broken AC control, so I could make it either tropical hot or Antarctica cold. Both rooms had black mold in the shower drain. Couch was ripped. Bedding was terrible. Pillows in both rooms must have been 100 years old - there was no pillow left in the pillow. All walls and doors had scratch marks all over. Foot boards and light switches haven’t been cleaned in probably ever. Breakfast attendants unfriendly and took breakfast items away from right under our noses, even though breakfast time hadn’t concluded yet. Don’t understand how this place has any good ratings. We’re Marriott Bonvoy members. Will never be back to this location.

One of the worst hotels we have ever stayed. Asked to change rooms because there was black filth all over the bedside table and bed. The next room had the same problem. The AC unit was blowing out chunks of stuff constantly. My husband woke up with it on his pajamas and in his chair from when it was blowing on him in the night. There were also bugs on the wall of our bathroom. And then there was a loud machine-like buzzing and humming sound coming from the wall. It vibrated the wall behind our headboard. Told the front desk and they just said “oh bummer. Sorry about that”. There are a lot of hotels in the surrounding area. Stay ANYWHERE but here.

I have chosen Marriott hotels for over a decade and never experience rooms that are not clean! The overall view of the hotels looks great but much deceiving!! Hotel needs to stay on cleanliness just pure nastiness.

We left immediately as the accommodations were not as advertised on the Expedia website. The hotel room was in poor condition- the sleeper sofa that was advertised was not usable. The mattress was heavily stained, the mattress was paper thin so the user would only feel the uncomfortable wires, the sheets were stained, and there were crumbs all over. The room beyond was extremely worn down. Due to the issues with the room, we went to check out. We were offered their nicest room if we would stay. That room was very large but in a worse state. The shower floor was damaged and completely dirt brown (originally white), the couch was stained, in pulling the bedding back- I had to kill three bugs. I then inspected the bed spread more closely and there were several dead gnats in it. I don’t understand the rating this hotel received. I have truly never seen anything in such poor condition. We checked out and left immediately. This is not acceptable and I would like a full refund.

Hotel definitely needs a renovation. Peeling paint and rust in the bathrooms. Mold in the bathroom. Rust on the lamp by the door. The toliet in the room connected to our room made so much noise when flushed that it woke me up at 330 am. A huge thump then sloshing noises. And our neighbor used it every hour from 330 til probably 9am. Not their fault but couldn't sleep well. The front desk ladies were wonderful though.

The room was very spacious and accommodated all 5 of us. The shower was separate from the toilet, which made it nice to use both at the same time. The shower was one of the best we've had from a hotel. We very much enjoyed our stay!

The only problem with room 115 not sound proof. You can here water running through the walls with a banging sound not sure if it from ice machine or toilet flushing or utilities room every 20 mins or so. Other than that its a beautiful hotel and will stay agin in the future.

The area of the hotel was perfect. The hotel had free breakfast which was a plus. The room was large enough for 3 adults. The bathroom could have used more towels and toilet paper. The morning desk clerk was rude and treated my husband and I unwelcome. The room wasn’t as clean as a hotel room should be especially considering it is a Marriott franchise. We were staying here to see my son graduate from Navy Bootcamp and I am extremely glad we only stayed here one night to avoid traffic the morning of graduation. We spent the rest of our Chicago trip in downtown Chicago and at a much nicer hotel.

Lisa (I think she was the Front Desk Manager) was awesome, she was able to give me a walkthrough of the hotel and the area and gave me all the info I needed up front. I had an early flight and got to the hotel at like 945-1000AM which is super early but the hotel had a room and was able to squeeze me in and get me to my room so I could rest.

We were there to go to Six Flag Amusement Park. It was very close. It had an indoor heated pool. The breakfast was good. We walked to have dinner. Rooms are nice . The only thing I can say is that the sliding doors were a little difficult in sliding. Definitely would go there again.

Beautiful hotel! We flew to Chicago from Philly for my nephew's graduation from Navy bootcamp!! We loved the hotel, and Walmart is close by so went and got some snacks for our rooms! The breakfast was very delicious!

We were in the area for our sons graduation from Navy bootcamp at Great Lakes. We stayed from Tuesday to Sunday and didn't have one complaint. Good coffee and breakfast in the morning, clean rooms that smelled nice, very friendly and accommodating staff, and the area was very safe. There were several stores and restaurants walking distance. Overall our stay was exactly what we needed it to be.
