The hotel is in a great spot, near Paddington station and by the canal. It was clean and we had good service. The restaurant area was modern, but the rooms are getting a bit dated. It was nice to pop to the pool and sauna but it is small, so difficult to use for much more than a dip once anyone else was there.

The hotel is currently under construction- they start drilling and banging very early. They don’t verbally mention this upon check-in. It is a small blurb on their welcome letter. You have to book a time to use the pool and it closes very early ( not convenient or spontaneous). Not good value for the money because of the above reasons. Otherwise, it is a good location and clean room.

Be aware: there is building work underway on the outside of the hotel which means scaffolding and workmen outside windows, and drilling noise from 9am until 5pm. We did not find this out until we checked in! The official Accor website only shows this if you open the "Hotel Information" box, and states this will be the case from January until November 2024. It is NOT MENTIONED in the Expedia details, only in the customer reviews (which we unfortunately did not read before making a last-minute booking!). Having said that, the staff were extremely friendly, patient and helpful, and the noise did not affect us as we were out all day. The location in Paddington Central is ideal for accessing the tube, with all central tourist attractions within a few stops. There is an excellent selection of bars, coffee shops and restaurants around the picturesque canal setting. The bathroom faciltiies in our room were a bit dated and could do with modernising. However when we reported in the morning that our shower door was leaking it had been dealt with by the time we returned for dinner.

Room was clean but outdated: no plugs near bed and the aircon was ancient. It was warm in the room when we came in and it took ages for it to cool when you turn the air con on. Bed was comfortable. Very strange toilet was separate from the bath/shower. Breakfast was nice, but no porridge on offer. Pool was small but perfect for the little one, although you had to turn on the sauna yourself and wait for it to heat up.

Hotel was really close to the train links. Easy check in and friendly staff. Lovely pool and spa but a shame the sauna was out of order when we were in but the engineer turned up to look at it within an hour of it being reported which is good. Rooms were a nice size for 3 adults, very clean, the only reason I’ve marked this down is the bed and pillows were too hard for our choice. Would stay here again as we felt safe walking around as a group of 3 women and the hotel was good value.

Hotel is undergoing extensive renovation throughout most of 2024. We booked our room under hotels.com and this information was not conveyed to us when payment was taken, nor was it explained when we checked in. Incessant hammering and banging right outside our room from before 9am until our departure. Apparently the management think this is an acceptable experience for its guests.

The best part of this hotel was the location and proximity to Paddington Station and Little Venice. It is in a very nice and quiet pedestrian area with access to some restaurants, a small grocery store and barge restaurants on the canal, not to mention a 7 minute walk to Paddington station which offers the Tube, Heathrow Express, National Rail and additional fast food shops. We arrived and found the facade of the hotel under construction. Hotels.com was supposed to notify me of this but I'm not sure they did. There was quite a bit of noise between business hours (9-5). This ultimately wasn't much of a problem as we didn't spend much time there during those hours. The biggest problem was that the pool was out of order for our entire stay. They kept telling us it would be fixed soon, but invariably it was never fixed during our stay. This was a big disappointment to my kids. We love to refresh in the afternoon to break up a long day of sightseeing. I realize there are things beyond the control of the hotel staff, but it was one of the main reasons I chose the hotel. I chose it as an affordable option for a family of four, in a good location, and with a pool. Got most of that! Just not the pool

This hotel doesn't merit the cost of the room. Decor has felt tired and dated for a while but in my last stay my sink was blocked, there were blood stains on the carpet and the towel had holes, stains, and dirt.

Overall it was a good stay for 2 nights. Carpets are stained, which that's why I didn't leave a higher rating on cleanliness. Staff don't always greet you when you arrive, it seems a more impersonal hotel.

since it is my first trip to UK, I will compare this hotel to the ones in America which I had more experience with. Pros: close to Paddington Station. 15 min to Heathrow airport via Heathrow express. Easy commute to all major attractions. There are grocery stores, bakeries, and restaurants within walking distance. Nice and well-lit (Christmas decorations) Neighborhood. Staff was helpful. Nice breakfast in the hotel. Cons: The room is at most a 3-star, if not a 2.5-star hotel room by US standard. Small. Sheets, pillows, towels, shower products are very basic. There are hairs on the floor and on the sheets. Sheets had a unique smell which I did not know what it was. Overall, my family had a good stay.

Room was dirty and tired. Carpets were disgusting. Power went off during the night and had to go to reception for something to be done about it. They blamed us for the issue. Very poor for a Novotel.

This property bis easy for access to Underground and Railways with a short walk of 10mins. The surroundings are attractive with the grand Union Canal. The staff there are helpful and the breakfast included is a very good quality English breakfast. The Ac worked very well and quiet. Our room was not cleaned daily during our 9 days stay. But once we asked the reception, it was cleaned. We killed a crawling bug - about 3cm on our room carpet. So we requested the room to be cleaned that day!

The Foyer and spa of the hotel are lovely and staff polite. The rooms are tired and need modernising. No usb points and strange toilet separate from rest of bathroom situation with no sink next to toilet so you have to walk through your room to wash your hands.

We were in an unrenovated room. Odd to have toilet separate with no basin, but mostly the room was fine; clean and quiet. The biggest issue; the bed and pillows. The mattress was too soft (old), and the pillows really couldn’t be called pillows. They were comprised of lumpy bits covered by a pillowcase; absolutely no support at all.

I have been staying here for a number of years now, rooms are due a refurb. Having a separate toilet with no basin is not practical. Pillows were uncomfortable and incredibly poor quality.

Location is why I chose this hotel and it did not disappoint. Close to Paddington Station, restaurants and the unique canals. I didn’t have enough time to explore the area! So much to see! Hotel restaurant, gym and pool are nice. Hotel room we got had a double bed with two twin beds and it was TINY! Literally zero room to walk or put luggage. Would be fine for just two adults but adding two kids made it claustrophobic. Bathroom was tiny. There was no place to hang four towels and no plugs next to the bed. Overall, would stay again for the location but not for a family trip.

Check in was good. The restaurant is ok. The shower door didn’t / does not seal and water leaks on to the floor and carpet in the sleeping area. The carpet is stained and curtains are stained . Sound proofing is very good. The location of the hotel is convenient to Paddington station and restaurants & shops.

My biggest issue with this hotel is the lack of air conditioning. I don't understand how an 11 story building doesn't have air conditioning. There are windows but being so close to the Paddington station there are trains going in and out all night and there was construction in the area 24/7. And even with the window open, there just isn't any cross ventilation.

Check-in was unusual – I was asked to sit at a table rather than a reception desk. The staff were lovely but the process felt clinical. I didn’t book an accessible room, but that was all that was available; I was given a drinks voucher for the inconvenience but not sure whether it was to do more, so with the fact that I said I was there to attend a big content creator event. No info was provided about the pool, restaurant, or luggage storage unless I asked. But at least they tried to grab some more money by offering me breakfast. Room 408 was disappointing. I have never felt dirty walking into a hotel room until I stayed here. Yellow ripped wallpaper, dusty curtains/netting, a CREEPY picture above the bed, a rusty bathroom, a kettle straight from 2004, a huge non-smart TV with a sticky remote to go with it ofc added to the grimy feel. The bed was mid, no sockets near it, and despite being accessible, the space felt cramped in areas. Facilities were okay, but small. I chose not to use them, but at least the changing rooms looked cleaner. The saving grace is the location – pedestrianised, felt safe, near shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, the canal, and Paddington Station. Lobby and public spaces are beautiful, modern, and clean. The morning staff were lovely on the 25th of August. Overall, better suited for business travellers/families. Fine for a short stay if you’re out and about, but I wouldn’t stay here to relax. I wouldn’t pay over £120/night for the rooms.

The hotel is not too far from the train station, good transport to the city. While when we were checking at the hotel at 2:55pm (checking time was at 3pm), the guy who worked at the receiption, intentionaly delay our checking knowing that we arrived from internation, leaving us to sit there for more than 20 min (imagine after long flight) while he was disapeared from the desk, we have to recheck with another staff to see what was going on, apperantely he was doing handover his shift... That is not a very professional behavier! Dissappointed!!

Really disappointed with the checking in process. They cancelled one of my rooms then took 40 minutes to tell me it was an Expedia problem. Then when we came back after they supposedly sorted it, they gave us a dirty room. This is with three kids at 11:00 at night. The breakfast was very nice.

unfortunately after having arrived at the hotel at 1.30pm and checking in online the day before there was no room available until about 5pm for us. which caused a fair amount of disruption to my plans given I was only in London for 24 hours.

Really enjoyed our stay. Parshad was extremely helpful on the front desk and helped arrange a room near the lift for my elderly mother. He is a real asset to the hotel. Dinner was very nice and service excellent.

Charles was extremely helpful with our check-in! He gave us much needed information on the area as well as tips for traveling to the airport by train. He also gave us information about a restaurant we had heard about in the area. Ironically, we went to the restaurant for lunch, but ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner and we LOVED it! Great food - the chef obviously knows what he's doing! We'd eat there even if it was located in our home town. Added bonus - they even had a workbook titled "Sleep" to help travelers with issues affecting their sleep hygiene. This is a workbook that I would pay for, no doubt! We wish there was a Novotel everywhere we travel!

Great hotel. Stay every time we got to London. Convenient for onward travel & sightseeing but not as noisy with being away from many roads. It's being renovated at the moment so not all rooms done, but still comfortable. The bar/restaurant area is lovely. Breakfast was a full range of hot & cold foods & drinks. Swimming pools, sauna & steam room was great to use after a day of walking around the city. Staff are very friendly, helpful & professional. Always ready to answer any questions.

The breakfast was the best ever. Nice quiet rooms. Nice sauna and swimming pool. The only problem is the steam room gets filled with really unfriendly people in the evenings so it is best to go in early in the day. Best buffet breakfast ever!

It was a 3 star hotel with 4 star price. We arrived at 8:30 PM. We're very tired from a 16 hour flight. We got to our room and there was a concert going on on their party deck with extremely loud music until 10 PM. This made it hard for our son to get any rest until it was over. There were no bathroom amenities, and our shower leaked. It would spray against the shower door and caused the bathroom to get really wet very. They rectified, this by giving us a stack of towels for us to mop up the floor. They did offer to have maintenance come by the next morning, but we had already unpacked everything, and didn't want somebody in our room working while we were out. The room was really small and the second bed was a folded couch. The toilet was a four by three area and the shower was just a small. The breakfast was not worth the price we paid. I would not suggest ordering breakfast, it's not worth it. I would say that the location is good with a short walk to the train station. The staff was also really nice. Inconclusion, we felt the advertisement for this hotel was really exaggerated and would not have ordered it if we need all this before hand.

Hotel was really close to the train links. Easy check in and friendly staff. Lovely pool and spa but a shame the sauna was out of order when we were in but the engineer turned up to look at it within an hour of it being reported which is good. Rooms were a nice size for 3 adults, very clean, the only reason I’ve marked this down is the bed and pillows were too hard for our choice. Would stay here again as we felt safe walking around as a group of 3 women and the hotel was good value.
