Clean room; unfortunately the pool was out of service and the jacuzzi’s weren’t full enough for the jets to work. We’ve stayed here several times and we love the atmosphere. I love Job’s Cafe since they have the best cinnamon rolls on the planet! And, they have great coffee! Katie’s Country Kitchen never disappoints and the CV Steakhouse is very good with a nice bar.

We usually enjoy staying at CVI. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Housekeeping takes pride in their work. The room we stayed in had been upgraded. My only complaint was that the pillows were lumpy and the wall paper on the wall in the bathroom was peeling at the corner seams. Check in was easy. The staff is all really nice and helpful. Looking forward to our next stay.

I've stayed here several times and always a good experience. Katie's cafe has great comfort food. There's a steak house on-site as well, but I've never tried it. Staff here has always been helpful and courteous. Check-in is always easy and fast. Rooms are clean and quite large with well stocked bathrooms. This is the place to stay in Minden/Gardnerville.

Heat/AC was loud. There was a musty smell in the room that wouldn't go away even after leaving the window open. Also what appeared to be bloody fingerprints on one of the pull rods for opening the curtains. Otherwise the room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Nice location. Steakhouse was good.

The room was very clean and comfortable. We stayed in a basic room but this was perfect for us. Staff is very friendly. We had a very good breakfast the morning after at Katies. We have stayed here before and keep coming back.

The first floor of the rooms still smells like smoke even though it’s a non smoking room. Bed is hard as a bored! Super noisy, you can hear all the kids running around the top floor from the pool. Don’t stay on the 1st floor if you want to have a good night sleep!

The room was big and the shower wonderful. However, the bed was an old fashioned mattress and too hard with very small, hard pillows. The blow dryer cord was hardly long enough to reach the mirror and the a/c fan was either on or off, no auto setting. That wouldn’t be bad if it wasn’t so loud it kept my husband awake.

Liar. I called 2 times, once on the day before my checkin date and second time before arriving and I was told that microwave will be available and will be put in the room only at the time of checkin. So I planned accordingly and bought food for my 8 month old and for ourselves too. At the time of checkin they said that microwave is not available and the person at checkin counter was rude too. She told me at the time of checkin that they will check on microwave and will see if its available as it might not be available and asked me to call at number 0 after some time. I called half an hour later and she said its not available and hung up. I called again to share the feedback that I was told that microwave will be available and then she again hung up. Then I called 3rd time and said that can I not share my feedback and why she hung up and she said that she doesnt want to argue on this topic. I was like waoooo, how can it being an argument that they lied to me before and now hanging up on my even after I checkin in. So, they first lied and then the person at registration was super rude. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We were "greeted" at the front desk for check-in by Tyler, or as we called him Mr Personality. He never smiled, was very unpleasant and set a negative tone right from the start. If this is how Carson Valley Inn wants to wants its employees to represent them, they are in trouble. Bed was very uncomfortable, pillows were 1/2 the size of normal and the bathroom door squeaked very loud.

Check-in staff was inattentive when we approached the counter. Speaking amongst themselves about an unknown subject while we stood there awaiting some recognition. A simple "we'll be right with you " would have set the right tone. The room was great, but this is not the first time that the check-in staff has been "stand offish" at best. I believe further training is needed.

Our stay was amazing. The property is clean, all of the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating - from the front desk to the restaurant staff to the custodians working at the pool to the housekeeping staff - everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We traveled with children and we felt extremely safe the entire time. We were able to walk to downtown Minden and CVI is extremely close to trails, bowling, Carson City, Geno and Tahoe. We ate at the steakhouse one night and we were so impressed - it was a great experience. Overall, it was a great stay!

Staff is EXCELLENT and very accommodating. Area surrounding is quite nice. Transportation is limited in my point of view. Located in quiet, retirement-type area, Casino and hotel are excellent, but not much to do outside in the city.

The room was comfortable. Property was clean. The restaurant Katie’s Kitchen, wasn’t the best. We had the prime rib special. The food was cold and the meat was tough. Waitress was very nice.

Absolutely terrible service. Steakhouse oysters had a little worm in it, we let staff know and they said that it was normal and that we would still pay full price even though we sent it back ( had 2 oysters). Chicken Marsala was bland as was the lobster. Steak was good, seasoned well.

We stopped here for one night between ski days. The property is well maintained and pleasing to stay. Renovated room was good. Insulation is awesome as we did not even need to turn on heater for night with temperature outside being below 40F. Katie's Country Kitchen was fantastic for dinner and breakfast! Prices are very reasonable with dish sizes being more then generous. Casino was ok if you are looking to have some fun to complement your stay. Overall, we would recommend this place and plan staying there again in the future.

The hotel was nice and clean, and all the employees were very friendly. One of their restaurants was closed the day. I was there as it is every Wednesday, but the other restaurant was very well run with excellent food. We had a good time.

Was ok. Got there at check in time and was told it was still an hour wait for our room or we can take a smaller bed now. So we took the queen beds instead of waiting for our king. Could not get a reservation for the steak house so we settled for Katies. Was ok. But bed was comfy and prices are reasonable.
