My stay was enjoyable however the hotel could use some upgrades to amenities such as the fitness center and pool (pool is rather small compared to the number of guests who frequent the hotel).

Very friendly staff. Nice clean quiet room. Parking garage next door is easy and FREE. Shopping, movie theatre, and restaurants all within walking distance. Nice pool.

Great location! Plenty of dining options within walking distance. Only complaint I have is that the breakfast offered at the hotel was pretty nasty. Other than that amazing bar in the center of the lobby, friendly staff, and each room came with a bottle of wine!

The area the hotel is located is nice...shopping, great restaurants and you can easily get to downtown or 610. My only negative is the hotel is currently under renovation, and I wasn't aware of that prior to booking, so none of the hotel amenities were accessible. Luckily, we only had one night booked or this would have been a very disappointing stay.

Great location with lots of shopping and food options within walking distance. We didn't like the gym and pool being closed during our stay. The property shouldn't charge an amenities fee without amenities being available on property.

The are still renovating the property so very confusing where check in and self park is for hotel. Price quoted when making reservations on hotels.com did not match what we were billed for. Revving car engines all morning and dumpster noises very loud and echo. Not very peaceful in mornings. Bar drinks way overpriced and no acknowledgement from any of 3 employees at the bar until we had to finally say something. Breakfast restaurant employees all nice and attentive. Was nice to get room upgrade for anniversary. Most likely will not stay here again.

The property is a little run down. The seating and cushions in the bedroom were stained. Plaster flaking in the bathroom. TV system has cables everywhere and needed ‘jiggling’ to get it working. Housekeeping didn’t replenish empty shower gel, or sugar and creamer for coffees.

The hotel is awesome and the band at the bar was AMAZING! I would come back just for the band. But..... spray a little bleach in the shower. The mold in the corners is not cool. Its not a super 8.

Beyond disappointing. Not what I expected. This place is outdated and is lacking a detailed oriented property manager. My room had dust EVERYWHERE there was old hair in the shower, the "show pillows" were disgusting the small fridges were dirty and gross. This hotel needs a whole new updo.

This was a stay for my birthday. I got to the reception and the lady was facing down and continued like that, then came a man (Ken) and without looking to me or saying good night, he asked me "ID and card". I gave to him and I asked a question about the parking and he mumbled "don't park there". He was rude and with a bad attitude not from a hotel professional. Then I stopped him, and asked what was the problem, I took my cards back and said I would wait for the lady and that he was rude.. Then we went to the room and the first image was black mold on the shower area, blood spots in the linen and the comforter had some darker spots as if now washed down. Breakfast was basic but OK and location is amazing, but I would not return and would not recommend a friend

The property itself was very clean and was kept up with very well. The lobby and social areas were really clean. The issue I had was in the room itself. There were scuff marks all on the walls in the bathroom and room. Near the toilet, the scuff marks were a bit… brown. The shower head had buildup on it and the glass cup in the bathroom was sitting on an extremely old, worn and torn, coaster. For the price I paid I was highly disappointed. I don’t pay the prices i do to come into a room that is not up to par with what the hotel charges. I won’t be staying here again, unfortunately

It's one of my favorites when I visit Houston. Nice rooms and views of Houston. It's quiet and safe. Just don't like paying for fast speed internet which is $15 a night. Wasn't like this before they remodeled but I get it in business aspect. Just not good if you're trying to stream on your own device. Also when taking a shower the water took about 7 min to get hot. Other than that the staff is great, friendly and efficient.

It is a shame that we didn’t know this hotel is in the middle of getting renovated. The rooms are ok and they keep everything as clean a possible even though there is construction. There is not an area to work in the hotel unless is in your room and the sitting areas close to the dining room have no outlets for the charger. The room is ok, very clean though the shower is so strong when you open the glass door you feel you are in the Niagara Falls

I’ve stayed here before and it was lovely. This time, I could tell the property has not been properly cared for over the years. Things look run down, there are stains on the furniture, water damage in the bathroom near the shower and shelving was dirty in bathroom. It was extremely disappointing. The mattress cover didn’t fully cover the mattress so the mattress print showed. All in all I was underwhelmed and ready to go home.

I had an amazing stay at The Moran City Centre! The staff was super friendly and made everything easy from check-in to checkout. My room was spotless, stylish, and had a great view. Plus, the bed was ridiculously comfortable—I slept like a rock. The location is perfect, right in the middle of City Centre, so you’re steps away from great restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. The hotel itself has a cool vibe, a solid gym, and a nice bar to wind down at. Overall, a 10/10 experience. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

Took 5 hours to get rollaway bed to room (despite 2 phone calls and reminder when checking in). Was charged a $15 internet fee that was reversed but only because I asked for a printout of bill. Free bottle of wine was nice, received a $20 credit for breakfast.

The valet staff were beyond rude and made my elderly father with a heart condition wait in the heat even though his car was on and running cold. The valet got in my face and was a bully. The GM put my parents in the wrong room that was not accessible for him as he is handicaped We specifically requested the proper room before arrival and during booking and it was still wrong. I stayed there for 2 nights. Was hardly in the room except to sleep and they kept my 200 dollar deposit as well as charged me an additional 200 dollar fee for absolutely no reason. When I contacted the billing department no one picked up the phone. I called the front desk and asked them to start a claim for my dispute and send it tonthe billing department. It has been 7 business days and Ive heard nothing back. This unacceptable business practices and I will never book there again, since thats the way they treat their guests.

Hotel was under renivations which made many things difficult. Breakfast buffet is no longer free and it was not very good. That was disappointing since they were actually cooking it. Maid banged on our door at 9:00 wanting us to chrck out. Our stay was okay not great. We were expecting great.

We were expecting The Moran to be more high-end. It is not, and we were disappointed. For the price, and based on the photos, I expected more. It is definitely no-frills. I guess you are paying for the hotel location in City Centre, which was nice to be able to walk to the restaurants and shops. The hotel pool has no bar/food service, and seemed pretty lame. We had drinks and dinner at the bar. The chicken fried steak was so chewy that we couldn't eat it, but the fried green tomatoes were good. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel. For the price, you're better staying elsewhere to have a more luxury experience.

The sink stopper was depressed in the hole when I got there. Called for maintenance and they never showed up. Fogured it out myself. Don’t recommend getting room service, the angel hair pasta was overpriced for the quality and there’s a $20 delivery charge that wasn’t disclosed when I placed the order. I was better off getting Doordash. On the positive side, the front desk lady was very nice and let us check in early.
