Booked this hotel because of the breakfast and the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was good. Nice selection. Hot tub was broken the entire trip and the pool was cold. Beds are way too soft and not comfortable. Pull out bed was not comfortable so my son chose to just sleep on the couch as is. Our room was spacious. Shower was terrible. Pressure wasn't great, and it never got hot. It was warm to luke warm. When we mentioned it to the front desk, they said the pilots take showers between 9&11, so take a shower before or after those times. We took showers at all times of the day and night and it was never any better. The frosted glass on the bathroom doors is a terrible design. Anytime someone uses the bathroom at night, it lights up the entire room. Location was good Lefty's in front of the hotel has good food. All the staff at the hotel was wonderful.

Basic hotel, only stayed one night for an early flight, I was returning to Detroit in 4 days and the hotel could not accommodate my car for parking, they informed me I had to book parking when I initially booked my reservation, and I could not pay on arrival, this was not an option with Expedia so I had to find a nearby lot and drive there early in the morning. Very inconvenient as I booked this hotel for its airport shuttle and parking services.

Called recep several times didnt answer . The elevators smelled like weed and while room smelled like they were smoking in room.next door or above . The pool.was filthy green, no ventalation whata so ever.

Nice design - but very poorly maintained. Got in a 2 am - front desk/airport shuttle person said he didn’t know where to tell me to go for pick up because he had never been to the airport! After 3 attempts at sending the shuttle to find us, we spent $15 to Uber. Absolutely ridiculous.

We got in late. We went to our room and it had a stale smell like the room hadn’t been opened in a while. It was also REALLY hot (80) in our room. I just figured it was because the air was off as no one had been in it. We turned it down thinking it would cool down. We all went to sleep and thankfully I have a little travel fan! It NEVER got below 80. We slept horribly. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk. They apologized half heartedly and offered me points. 🙄 Also the carpet in the breakfast common area was filled with stains. It was gross.

This seemed like a decent hotel until we walked into our room. The room smelled like bad body odor, as if the previous renters just left an hour before. Furthermore, the bedding smelled like someone’s personal hygiene products (hairspray, cologne, etc..). I could tell that the duvet cover, sheets, and pillow cases weren’t changed out. I will not be returning.

Stayed here overnight and was not impressed. The first room we entered smelt musty and mouldy, and when I opened the sheets there were small crumbs meaning it had not been changed. So we requested to change rooms and front desk was super sweet about it. It was inconvenient considering I was travelling with a 9 month old baby. Second room was cleaner, no overt complaints. The breakfast is very nice which is included. The only other thing is lots of construction in the area and not a lot of parking spaces up front

The room we were given was disgusting. Bed sheets sloppily placed, stains on the pillows, face towels, mattress skirt. Finger smears on the light switch covers and walls. Huge gross looking stain on the couch. And more! We asked to if there was another room we could switch to or if all the rooms are cleaned in that way and the lady at the front desk had a bit of an attitude about it. She ended up giving us another room to try and it was much better! So just fyi

There’s mold in the shower. Shower door didn’t close. Clock in room didn’t work. Electrical outlets didn’t work making it difficult to charge things. The carpet and sofa were dirty. Pool heater was broken and only two towels were at the pool.

I stayed the night before a flight ot of Detroit. The surrounding area was great for an airport, but not if you are looking for great entertainment or things to do. This was one of the nicest rooms I've ever stayed in. I've travelled extensively and this room compares to the best. The room was comfortable, stylishly decorated with separate bath and toilet areas, a sitting room and very comfortable beds. The staff was nice and all the services were professional and efficient. I will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is really nice. Rooms are nice and big. If I would have been a solo traveler, I would give 5 stars for everything. However, if you are with anyone and they get up at all in the night to go to the bathroom or even get up earlier than you to get ready, the bathroom doors are just frosted glass and illuminate the entire room by your bed. It was not a good night sleep and I got all of 3 hours. Other than that, I would recommend.

Had a reservation and was in a hurry. I arrived an hour after check-in time and the room wasn't ready. The persona t the front desk was not sympathetic and gave robotic scripted responses. I was told I would be the 3rd person in line and it might take 2 more hours.

The standout part of my stay that I have to mention is the front desk staff. They were so sweet and accomodating. I will come back for my next trip out of Detroit for sure. The room was lovely and the shower water pressure was 10/10. I slept so well!

Unfortunately they do not offer daily cleaning service and when we asked for extra towels or anything else for the room, we had to go down to the front desk to get it ourselves. We advised the front desk of a maintenance problem with our bathroom and returned that night to discover nothing had been done. Overall we were disappointed with our stay. The breakfast staff was also not very friendly or accommodating to some guests.

Front desk assistant “Amy Jo” was rude and needs additional customer service training. As the line to check in got longer, she avoided looking or speaking to any of us waiting. She spent 15 minutes trying to look up a parking discount for someone checking it only to find out eventually that it didn’t exist. I have no problem be patient when a situation might take longer than expected but when I asked if anyone else might be free to assist, she gave me a very pissed off look and said abruptly “no”.

Pros: Breakfast was great. Overall cleanliness is good. Service from staff was good, responsive. Room was spacious, new feel. Good workout room, open 24 hrs. Cons: For the price it was a poor value ($140/night). The room had annoying, inconvenient energy and expense saving measures in place. You have to leave a key in a slot to turn on electricity to the lights! Take it out, say, to go get ice—and it goes dark! The fridge is only mildly cool unless you repeatedly, every 2 hours, press a button to cool lower (no dial adjustment). And it’s a tiny fridge—not very suite like! Also, no lighting in the fridge & microwave corner. Also, housekeeping hardly gave us any towels or soap—bare minimum each time. Finally, the sleeper sofa was so uncomfortable to sit on! Hard as a rock and cushions way too deep. The overall feeling was the hotel values cost cutting measures more than the guest experience. We were there for 8 nights and it was not the suite experience we had been led to expect.

All the basic amenities were excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. My only complaint.....no BACON for breakfast. Ham.yes. Sausage.yes. But no bacon, and we were there 10 nights. The eggs were also under cooked and extremely runny.

I am a Marriott Bonvoy platinum member who usually stays in only Marriott properties. Unfortunately my past experience in the Detroit Airport hotel was not one of my better experiences. To begin I waited a half hour in the rain for the shuttle. Once I arrived I was disappointed in the layout of the room. I am not a fan of using the door key to turn and keep on the room lights. In addition, the bathroom was divided into two rooms. A toilet and water fountain size sink in one room and the shower and a larger sink in another room. Why? Closet space and drawer space was very limited, and there was no safe available. The free breakfast was also very, very limited, and the bar never opened because the mixologist was on vacation. On my final night I had to move into a new room because we were invaded by ants!! I was told I would receive 20,000 points for this unfortunate experience, but was only given 10,000. Needless to say, I will never stay at this hotel again. Very, very disappointing experience!
