Econo Lodge Morgantown

Front desk staff are courteous people. Signs are visible to find the hotel after leaving highway. Easy parking. Beds are not to comfortable but not bad on your back. All of the carpeting and accommodations need to be updated. Main hal carpet looks like it has been in a flood.

Definitely needs updated. Hallways especially need new carpet. Definitely not worth the price we paid but we know not to book again.

I like the idea of using a key to enter the building. Felt safer that way. Staff are very friendly. Close to highway and shopping.

Overall, this Econolodge is a good bargain, you get what you pay for, and if you are looking for an ok place at a great budget, this location meets those accommodations and also accepts pets. It is in a convenient location. This was my second stay there and have had no issues with noise (its really been quite both times), or other patrons. The rooms are ok and comfortable. A few things that were unsavory; Splashing stains of something on the walls (food, drink, etc) There was black grim under the sink lip. There was also black grim behind the pedestal of the toilet. The continental breakfast is lackluster, but the waffles are good.

The floors where dirty. The bathroom floor was dirty . Looked like no one wipped down the tv or the tops of things . Toilet needs bleached . Won’t stay again .

Manager was friendly and kind. However, the hallway smelled, the room smelled, TV did not work, and bed sheets were dirty. We were then offered a different room. When we opened the door, the room was totally trashed with water bottles and other containers all over the place, beds had not been made, a total mess. We left without staying the night and drove on down the road to a Quality Inn which was very nice overall.

Our experience was HORRIBLE. There was literally pee in the toilet. Dirty sheets. Smelt horrible. Not worth anywhere near what we payed.

This was the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever seen. First off you walk in and the lobby is closed so you use a window to talk thru like a bank covered in plexiglass while waiting to check in we are standing with our bags on an absolutely filthy carpet saturated with black and brown filth. The smell was horrid. Walked upstairs to our room and it was dirty with hairs on the bed sheets and blanket, make up on the flat sheet covering the bed barely and invaded pillows! The bathroom floor never looked like it was ever cleaned and all the trim and molding were separated from the wall and complete filth! I am going to pursue a refund. The hotel in a parking lot surrounded by McDonald’s and other fast food restaurants- absolutely disgusting!

Ron was dirty. Toilet was super wobbly, requested more towels after starting two days and they only have a room of 4 two towels and they told me that they didn’t have anymore towels and couldn’t do laundry to get me more. They couldn’t understand that I wanted to shower daily and their were more than two people that shower

I have stayed at this location before. It is older and run down, but has been clean and comfortable. I was very disappointed this time. Upon arrival, I asked the front desk to clean the bathroom because the toilet had clearly not been cleaned in a while, including the base around the floor which had urine. Shower had significant soap scum build up. When I returned later, the bathroom still had not been cleaned. I returned the next day to the front desk and reported that it was not clean. The desk manager said that he had spoken to the cleaning personnel and he would tell them again. When I returned again and it still was not clean, I assumed that perhaps the toilet was just discolored. This morning (after three days there) I took a washcloth and wiped at the black marks in the bowl. They came off readily, so not stained. Just dirty even after 2 requests to clean. Additionally, I had made reservations with Hotels.com. I originally reserved in August for graduation weekend, and then added Thursday night in January. I have a receipt confirmation as such. When I checked in, I had no issue. Saturday afternoon I was locked out. Informed me that I only had a reservation for 2 nights. Showed my receipt. Checked his computer and said he had no evidence of that. Said (nicely) that I had to check out or pay for the night and contact Hotels.com for issue. I had no choice but to pay. Charged me $143 plus tax for the night (3x the nightly rate I reserved at) Disgusted.

I slept on top of the blankets with my clothes and shoes on. There were hairs between the sheets - blood in the bathtub. There was a strong musty smell in the room. I didn't take anything into the room because I was afraid of what I would carry out. They jacked the prices up to almost double what they advertised on their website because there was a WVU football game.

This EconoLodge was extremely disappointing. Upon walking into the room, the floor was sticky. The air conditioning was off so the room was very hot in the heat of July. The bathroom ceiling was covered in mildew. The beds and pillows were horribly uncomfortable. We had booked two nights, but we could not stay there a second night. We left early and booked elsewhere

Bed was firm. Shower was excellent. Room temperature was easily adjusted. Location is in a shopping area off the beaten path, so no traffic around the building. Breakfast was decent for the price. Bake your own waffles, cereal bar.

The Econo Lodge was old, but clean, and cheap. The beds were very comfortable.

From midnight to 2 am a group of people decided to party outside the window of our room. We didn't get any sleep.

The water was brown and air conditioner was unplugged. Room was 85 degrees upon arrival and did not cool down until next day

AC didn’t work. Lighting atrocious. Hard bed

I wanted something close to Morgantown that didnt break the bank. That's what I got. The establishment is run down in hallways. Stianed carpets. Room had hard floors, which was an improvement. There were splash stains on some walls. A used washcloth remained from previous occupant, along with hair in the drain. Beds appeared clean and were relatively comfortable. No one came to clean, empty trash, or make the bed. Front desk staff was friendly.

Definitely an old property that could use upgrades. Thin walls. Need to apologize for my 2 year old grandsons crying as I could hear it all the way down the hall.

Very unfriendly front desk staff. Acted like I was interrupting his night.

The person checking me in acted like I was bothering him. The room had no cable. I asked about it and he said you can watch you tube on your phone. I booked 1 king bed and I got a room with 2 full size beds. I could live with that but no cable and the employee was very rude.

The check in process was a bit long and the guy at the front wasn’t so friendly. Also not real sure that I was charged the same price that I booked the rooms for

Great value, friendly and helpful for the price

We went to check in and were met with unexpected fees to even check in which were not stated in the policies section for their page

OUT @. 11a.m. or get charged $25 and leave @ 1p.m. Rude, slow, hard to understand,, describes the Manager. Would pay few bucks more and stay elsewhere, this place isn't worth staying in.

it is close to my job, the mall, and places i walk to. for frequent week-long stays, on my own dime; it is the best choice if you are not impressed by a fancy library or breakfast (there are plenty of good breakfast choices near by).

Check in was quick and easy. The room did not give me that clean feling. Bathroom was not up to clean standards. Shampoo 1 bottle was half empty -used. the 3 nights we were there I don't believe anyone checked our room. bed sheets almost seemed that it had been slept in previously. Breakfastv-first day 8:00am only waffles, orange juice, milk and cereal nothing else. Next day again same things. only. Another patron came in and asked for honey bun that he had gotten the day before. Lady went and brought back only 2 eventhough there were many people in the dining area. That was the extent of the pastries. Third morning we left early and did not check breakfast as it wa 4am. Not a friendly staff.

The breakfast was minimal. There was bread to toast but no butter. The bathroom was very cramped. I paid for two rooms for two nights. The second room shower knob was broken so my son could not take a shower. I had to call to get my deposit back after almost a week. Most hotels hold the deposit and do not debit your account. Be sure to take pictures of the room upon vacating and turn in your room key so there is no reason for them to keep your deposit. It made me feel as if the deposit is another revenue stream for this family-owned business. They said I would have gotten my deposit back if it were cash but I wonder how they would return cash after the fact? Otherwise, the beds were pretty comfortable. I do not think I will choose to stay at another EconoLodge in the future.

Cig burns in rhe blankets, dirty towels in the bathtub when we got there, outlet in bathroom didnt work, dirty sheets, slept on top of blankets, hotel smelled like pot, foor didnt close all the way, very noisy neighbors, no breakfast, very horrible housekeeping, stayed 2 days and had to ask for more towels bc they only gave us one, the first room they gave us someone was already in it and walked in on them, hair dryer didnt work, floors havent been swept or mopped. Very run down. Will never stay there again

Rooms have fridge and microwave and breakfast is included. Nice place, will stay there again.

Typical low cost hotel/ motel. It was somewhat clean, the breakfast was sub par, the coffee was more like water flavored with coffee.
