I had a fantastic stay at this Comfort! The first thing I noticed was just how incredibly spacious the room was it felt more like a suite than a standard hotel room. Everything was exceptionally clean, and the beds were some of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. One of the best parts was the shower; the water was actually super hot, which is rare for many hotels. The pool area was well-maintained and clean, and the hot tub was at a perfect, warm temperature. While the breakfast was your standard hotel fare, it was a solid start to the day. The staff was exceptionally nice and helpful through the night.

Wanted to pamper my feet after a long day, so booked here for the hot tub. Is a hot tub still a hot tub if the hot tub was not hot? Lukewarm at best. Cold air was blowing through the jets cooling the water.

The reason for the four star is that the pool area is small as is the pool. Also, our toilet seat was loose. We tried tightening it however the lousy plastic screw on there would not tighten because of the design.Hot tub was not hot— Luke warm at best. The staff we had interactions with were terrific. The room was spacious as was the bathroom. Parking is plentiful and easy. Check in and out was smooth. They have a nice gazebo out front with grill. They also cater to the Norte Dame faithful!!

Very convenient to get to. Stayed several times. Pool water is very cloudy, was a month ago too. Nothing done to it yet. And the bed this time was HORRIBLE!!!! Kept rolling in to the “ hole” in the middle. Woke up with bad back up and migraine due to the bad sleeping. Crazy considering I got the most expensive room offered.

Hot tub is not hot. So overall the hotel was great. The staff was nice and everything seemed very clean. The room was very large and comfortable. The breakfast was also good and had a decent selection of items. However, we booked that particular hotel specifically because it had a hot tub and we wanted to utilize it for therapeutic reasons. Unfortunately, it was really, really not hot. Like, I've never been in a colder hot tub in my life. I'm not even someone that takes scalding hot showers or anything, so trust me when I say that it was barely warm. We could put our hands over the jets and literally feel cold water. When we asked the staff about it, assuming it was maybe broken or it had gotten turned down, we were told that they kept it that cold on purpose. So yeah, we were pretty bummed about that. Additionally, the toilet in our room had to have the handle held down to flush and the bathroom door didn't lock well. But those were things we could live with. Overall, if you're planning on utilizing the hot tub, I would look elsewhere, but if not, it's a decently nice, clean, and safe hotel.

Some of the furniture in room were in rough looking shape. Shower needed to be recalled. Hot tub was bath water warm and the poo/hot tub room seemed to not be vented correctly. Person. Checking is in was maybe new and struggled. Never ever had a hotel put a hold on a card for $150 for incidentals.

Very nice room. Plenty large for two adult’s and two children. The pool was warm and the hot tub worked! We all enjoyed breakfast that was clean and well stocked. The friendly staff made it very inviting.

While the room seemed clean, the fridge had an obvious spill inside it, and there a couple of cooler packs still in it. There was change and a pocketknife in one of the drawers.

I stayed at the comfort inn & suites in south bend on the 11th for my daughters birthday & I get up to go to the bathroom at 4 am & the biggest cockroach I’ve ever seen was in the bathroom. Moved us to the next room over after arguing with the desk that wanted to keep us in there until her manager came in. & my daughter was so scared to go to sleep for the rest of the night. It was 4am & an hour away from home so leaving at 4 am wasn’t an option. The situation was handeled so poorly & that hotel is nasty. It was a special day & it was ruined. I have pictures for evidence as well.

The bed was clean but other than that everything was dirty, the walls, bathroom, stairs, carpet, lamps were all stained with different colored stains. The drawers in the dresser wouldn't even fit in the dresser anymore. The sheet on the one bed had a little stain but other than that out of the two beds that was the only item that was dirty. The AC in the room worked well but the hotel itself was very hot a humid. Not the cleanliest hotel but not the worst I have seen.

The room wreaked of stale smoke. It must’ve been a smoking room at one point in time & is in deep need of deep cleaning whatever the smell is trapped in. It was like sleeping in an ashtray, had we not arrived in the middle of the night due to airplane issues, I would have asked to switch rooms. The staff was very friendly & nice. The breakfast area & lobby were nice & decorated for the holidays. Didn’t have time for breakfast in the morning but looked on the positive side of standard for this price point from what I could tell. I was charged $150.00 deposit that took 3 weeks and a couple days to be refunded to me. That was after I reached out & did not receive a reply but suddenly the refund came 2 days later. I was about to report it to my bank as fraud.

The front desk ladies were great. Our room had ants all around and a silverfish bug in the bathtub, which gave me the icks our entire stay; so the cleanliness didn't meet our standards. The pool area is kept so hot and humid it takes your breath away, and because of that unfortunately my kids didn't get to swim as much. The food options were plentiful.

Great location! Quiet, safe and right off the bypass so getting to and from restaurants and shopping is easy. We visited The Dinosaur Musuem, Zoo & Arcade and everything was within 20 minutes. The rooms are big with comfortable beds! Liked the pool, hot tub & breakfast. Would definitely stay again. If you do, make sure to order Starlite Pizza (they'll deliver!).

A very nicely property. A few things to consider when booking- there are no curtains to keep the room darkened. The heating system fan is very loud with no way to lower the fan speed. Since it is thermostat controlled, it cycles off and on every few minutes. If you are a light sleeper- good luck! The morning breakfast is pretty good with multiple choices. The hotel is good for families and sports teams. It was hockey teams this trip. All in all a decent hotel. Just a few things travelers should consider

Room was clean, front desk friendly. Only issue was the drapes. Our room was near an exterior building light and the room darkening drapes did not fully close. My wife had to use a safety pin to hold the drapes together and that kept out some of the exterior lighting that lit up our room.

The property is very old and needs a total renovation. The mattress is probably the worst one I have ever slept on. I had to sleep on the edge closes to the wall so I wouldn’t roll to the center. The bed is absolutely terrible. The carpet is old with stains and the shower leakes on the floor. I will never stay at this hotel again!

It was a chore for the staff at the front desk to just get up to get us checked in. The air conditioner in our room wasn’t working so I went up front to let them know, one of the ladies asked me if tried unplugging it and plugging it back in. I’m sorry but we just drove 10 hours and I don’t think it’s my job to figure out how to get the air conditioner to come on. I would not stay here again or recommend it.

Tracy was amazing and super helpful at checking with the questions my partner and I had. she took the time to explain the jet tub to us and really made us feel like we were able to trouble her for anything without being an inconvenience. Would definitely stay again just for the great service!

The hotel was fine and we had a solid stay. Unfortunately, an hour before check-out, a staff member opened our door without knocking to ask when we were leaving. My wife was in the bathroom right by the door getting ready and was thankfully dressed. My 2 daughters were getting ready as well. I immediately called the front desk and notified them of what happened and was told she needed re-trained. After we loaded our stuff up, I went back inside to check out and speak with a manger about what had happened. I was told the manager would be in shortly and they would pass my information on to her and she would definitely be in touch. This was a week ago, and still, no one has reached out. Seems like the kind of issue they would want to rectify, but I guess not.

Such an incredible hotel, we are so happy we stayed!!! The pool was amazing. Our room had an AC issue and we were taken care of immediately. If nothing else, it made us more impressed! Great breakfast, the coffee was good. Couldn’t ask for more! If we head in this direction again, we WILL be staying here. Might even make a trip this way just to have another great night. Thank you for being part of our cross-country drive!!!

We were NOT allowed to check in. The computer was down and wven though we had already paid theu hotels.com the clerk couldnt process the $150.00 deposit on the computer and refused to give us a key. We left and drive another 30 minutes at 10:30pm to find another hotel

This hotel is tired. In my room, the carpet had a big section worn away at the entry door and the chair was missing several pieces of fabric. The microwave is retro with dials that don't allow you to discern accurate times below 5 min. The side of the refrigerator had white streaks of some old liquid which had spilled on it and wasn't cleaned. The construction of the property is such that you can hear the people above you walking around and everything in the hallway. In addition to these negative aspects, the hotel charges your credit card $150 above the room fee for an incidental deposit. Most hotels take a credit card for the possibility of incidentals, this place has a mandatory full-on charge of $150. Their sign at the check-in desk reads you will see the $150 return on your card within 5 to 8 days after checkout.

We arrived an hour early for check in and that staff was able to accommodate us and provide us with adjoining rooms. We were thrilled to find a hotel near the zoo that had a hot tub, pool AND breakfast included. The hot tub and pool were both clean and well maintained. Staff members were present cleaning and taking care of the property. Everyone was friendly and willing to answer questions and provide help. We were there with our grandchildren who LOVE to go to hotels and swim and make their own breakfast (waffles/pancakes) before we headed to the zoo the next morning. It was affordable and a great location, to the zoo and restaurants.

A pre-teen hockey team was at the hotel. Noise was horrible - running and playing hockey in the halls. Parents partying in the lobby while the kids ran wild in the halls. Just a note - Breakfast only goes until 9 a.m. on Sunday, unlike most hotels that go until 10. Many guests were missing breakfast.

Rooms are very spacious but chair in our room very worn and should be replaced. We also ran out of shampoo in the dispenser and toilet paper- clearly it hadn’t been checked. The breakfast was great!!
