Right next to the bus stop and a few steps to the train station. Clean and quiet. Elevator got very crowded but only 1 of 2 was working. No restaurant onsite but several nearby.

Elevator is out of service and remaining one is very slow. Rooms are fine (small but clean) but no storage at all in the room or the bathroom. They leave your bath towels on a shelf by the front door. Location is convenient across the street from the station.

Only one lift was working. Lots of waiting to go up or down considering I was on the seventh floor I did not use the stairs. The day I was leaving at six in the morning, no lift was working . I had to drag my luggage all the way to the ground level, took me about 20 minutes and I was exhausted sweaty and very frustrated. I was not very impressed with the excuse for the lifts not working. The air conditioning was on full-time in my room no heat. I had to have somebody bring me a portable heater to keep my room properly warm.

An OK, passable property but the rooms are dated and the the poor quality of aircon during a heatwave leaves a lot to be desired. One lift out of service without signs indicates that maybe it happens a lot and for a hotel with 9 floors was frustrating. Good location for Haymarket Station and the staff were pleasant

I found the location of the hotel perfect for transport to and from the airport and the centre. The airport bus stop is practically outside the hotel entrance. At the back there is a private car park with hefty charges. Useful but not cheap. Room was small but functional and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Shower room was compact but good. We chose not to have breakfast at the hotel because the fixed price made it expensive for the type of breakfast we have.

AC doesn't work in most rooms. Shower drain was clogged which seems to be a common occurrence though it was handled quickly. There is only one working elevator and it seems the other has been out of service for months so who knows when it will be fixed. One tiny elevator for seven floors is suboptimal to say the least and we were frequently waiting for it for long periods of time. The room itself was otherwise clean but you'd never know the rest of the hotel had been recently refurbished as the carpets were really gnarly. Many have said it took a lot of asking for someone to come clean their room and weirdly we had the opposite problem, where they ignored our do not disturb every time it was on the door. The housekeeper was really snippy about it when my husband talked to the front desk too. She always remade the bed but picked and chose what else she wanted to do in our room when we had specifically asked her to stay out. Sometimes towels were replaced, sometimes we just got extra, it was weird. Overall it was fine, you get what you pay for, but the location next to the tram was its saving grace

I also appreciated the complimentary coffee in the morning, the all-day hot water, and the effective heating system, which was perfect for those sensitive to the cold. However, the experience was dampened by noticeable maintenance issues, such as loud, squeaky pipes that were particularly disruptive late at night. The most significant drawback, however, was the cleanliness. While towels were replaced upon request, they often had visible marks, forcing us to contact reception for further replacements. Most disappointing was that during our six-night stay, the room was never once cleaned or vacuumed. Given the limited space, having to walk on the same area throughout our stay, either with our shoes after entering the room or after showering, was very unpleasant. Furthermore, the air vents are in need of a deep clean (as shown in the photos). One of us suffered from a persistent dry hacking cough that only occurred while inside the room and ceased immediately upon leaving. Lastly, there were marks on the walls from day one that should have been addressed by housekeeping.

Location is great. Bar is in the front and connected to the hotel. Bus stop and train station are right there.. Good for budget travelers Room is a bit small for someone but it is perfect for me.. 10 mins ride from hotel to the heart of the city..

generally dirty, and the "cosy" rooms are in fact tiny cells one of the 2x lifts in the property was out of commission for my entire stay... for a $222/night room I expected more ...

I appreciate it was the New Year season but I still think I didn’t get what I paid for in return. Cleaning wasn’t great and hot water kept cooling down during the shower.

This place was disgusting. I booked for rooms for 4 of us and 2 out of my group left and booked a different hotel. The cleaning standards here are non-existent, dirty sheets, filthy floors, and nonworking shower.

Both the duvet and sheet were stained and had holes in them. Would not recommend for the price.

Clean room on the small side but staff great ideally located opposite Haymarket railway station

Great location. Room is very basic. Bathroom not that clean and drains are either blocked or just don’t flow very well as shower tray filled to top and sink didn’t drain! Electrics didn’t work on one side of the room but this was fixed the following day. Free tea/coffee available at reception but would be nice in your room.

The floor in the room needed a proper vacuum - we asked reception to do this and the floor was still dirty after reporting this. There was a also an occasional horrible sewage gas smell from the toilet that appeared randomly. One of the two lifts was broken. The bed was comfy, but everything else was a bit basic. I know it's not an expensive hotel, but it didn't hit the minimum standards

The window would not close properly and there was a bit of a draft. There were no tea and coffee facilities in the room or even on each floor.

The room was very cold as the AC was running. The staff told us they had control of this and would turn it off. I asked 4 times for them to turn it off and they didn’t. I also asked for a room change but they would not. They said there was no heating in the room. And the windows were so bad they may as well have been open as the draft was so bad. It eve blew the blinds open.

Greay loction to hop in tram bus or tain, we had a room at front & wasnt to noisy at all. Cosy room is quite cosy, but we were only in there for short time so didnt matter too much, bit of wear & tear in room but clean.

Welcoming staff, I stayed on 5th floor. Small room but sutable for my needs. I paid extra for a window view which looked onto Haymarket rail station. There was noise from outside until the pubs closed.

The hotel was great and our room was fine but the room was so small it was hard for me to move around the bed. I wouldnt stay again if it meant having to have a room like that again.

This is in a GREAT location. Literally right across from the train station. It was a bit noisy at night with doors slamming in the hallway. Nice blackout shades kept the light out.

Front desk staff always helpful, room was compact but served my needs well and was clean.

The room was decent for the price however the fire alarm was triggered at 2am, the alarm went off for 40 minutes and not once were we talked to by a member of staff during this, we were outside in the rain for half an hour and we only came back in because the fire men left, not because a staff member gave us the all clear. I dread to think how it would have been if it was an actual fire, as there was no effort to get people out of their rooms or out of the building, no guidance for where we should wait, no assistance when coming back in. No compensation offered. Terrible.

The hotel is excellently placed right by Haymarket train station and has a large pub/restaurant next door. The staff were very friendly and help, with quick responses to messages when I realised I’d left a ring in my room after check out. I would definitely stay here again on a visit to Edinburgh

Really nice property with a nice restaurant connected to it. Friendly staff. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because housekeeping entered my room without knocking. On the day of checkout, (which is at 11am) housekeeping knocked on my door at 8am, waking me up from my sleep. I work at a hotel and we always knock at least 3 times before entering a room and we never knock on a door before 11am. My only complaint.

Check in was easy and seamless. Even though check in was not until 3pm, they were able to get my in my room at 10am! Took less that 3 minutes to check out. Room was clean and well attended. Very pleased with my stay and it was close to all public transit, so very well connected. Will recommend to anyone I know that may travel to the city.

The property was of a good quality, with good transport and restaurants near by, unfortunately we had a false fire alarm around 19:30 pm we all evacuated the building and the information given by the staff was unclear

The location is top-notch: the city centre is easily reachable on foot, and public transport to the airport (24/7!) and other areas of the city is located just in front of the hotel. The service was outstanding, particularly Marco, who went above and beyond with his professional and friendly attitude. We are really satisfied with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Staff were very welcoming, respectful, helpful and always ready to assist with a smile and knowledgable about the area. Rooms were clean, comfortable and nice seating area in the morning to enjoy your coffee.

This hotel is in a fantastic location in Haymarket. ScotRail and the tram are both right across the street. Many great restaurants are nearby. My room at the hotel was nice and clean. I was staying by myself so the room size was perfect for me. My particular room would be tight for two people though because the bed was very close to the wall where the tv was and tight to walk around. I could hear the tram outside, but it didn’t bother me and I didn’t hear it while sleeping. Overall, a nice room for a good price.

Everything was perfect. I mean, you do get what u pay for but it was a wonderful accommodation. The shower was definitely slightly clogged, I think that’s the only downside. Very easy to walk to a bunch of spots in town and the station is right in front if u want to take trams and buses. Wonderful stay, will probably look to stay again.

Clean room, attentive housekeeping. Comfortable bed, Adequate size bathroom. TV, heat/AC, hotel internet all worked fine. Hotel desk staff friendly, courteous, helpful. Numerous restaurants/pubs, small food markets within walking distance. Excellent city bus system, teams and trains all 1-3 min walk from hotel front door. Easy to get from hotel to most points in and around Edinburgh.

Staff couldnt do enough for you, free tan amd coffee in reception is a nice touch, was opposite tram stop ideal for Edinburgh centre or airport, nice stroll to eateries in either direction, ideal lication as was quiet yet short walk into hustle and bustle amd the amazing Edinburgh Castle. Would stay again amd recommend. Big thanks to all staff.

Unbelievably well located just steps from the Haymarket train station and bus stops that take you to and from the airport. It's also walking distance to all the major sights. Rooms are small, but luckily we didn't spend much time there.

Very impressed to be staying in a hotel that has only just opened so obviously everything is spotless. I liked the style of the Garner and it has a very relaxed feel. Breakfast was in the pub next door but its not part of the hotel, however, the food was great. Remember not to ask for a full English though - its a full Scottish!!

Die Unterkunft ist zweckmäßig für einen Kurzaufenthalt in Edinburgh. Bei uns war der Ausfluss in der Dusche verstopft und die Seife alle. rotzdem das Hotel schon in die Jahre gekommen ist, bemüht man sich um Sauberkeit und Service. Das Frühstück ist unterirdisch und kann man sich sparen. Lieber in ein Café um die Ecke gehen. Bequeme Betten und zweckmäßige Einrichtung.

Room was nice with good shower and very nice soaps and lotions. Didn't like the bins from the bar getting emptied noisily at all hours. The lift not working was an issue especially when there are tour buses staying. Mayhem at breakfast.

The room was small but functional for our needs. Very helpful friendly staff. Excellent location for transport into Edinburgh city centre either by tram, train, bus or walk. Good location also for eateries in the evening and breakfasts. Tram down to Leith docks and Airport was very frequent.

Dit hotel geboekt en eerst wilde ze ons in invalide kamers stoppen die erg vies waren toen kregen we hele kleine kamers die van ellende uit elkaar vielen. Deuren die slecht tot niet sluiten ramen die dicht geschroefd werd door personeel omdat ze niet meer dicht gingen. Ontbijt wat erg beperkt is en het ontbijt wordt ingekocht bij de kroeg van de buren die erg onvriendelijk zijn. Enige wat goed aan dit hotel is zijn de bedden. Die liggen prima! Maar voor ons dit hotel nooit meer.

Das Zimmer war sauber, Dusche und WC ebenfalls. Das Zimmer war etwas klein, viel Raum gab es nicht, der Aufenthalt im Zimmer war sehr eingeengt. Der Zimmerservice war gut. Das Frühstück (gegen Aufpreis) gab es in einer benachbarten Bar und war typisch britisch, hinreichend aber nicht umwerfend.
