Hollywood Casino at Greektown

Everything was great and this would have gotten a 5 star review with the exception of a few things. Not very clear on getting into the parking garage & where you have to go if your staying in the hotel....not to gamble. Beside that, the biggest complaint are 4 elevators ( which 2 weren't working ) for 30 floors. Long lines waiting to go to their rooms up & down. Our room was on 16 & the wait time the day we were checking out was 10-15 waiting for a down elevator. Who ever designed this casino wasn't thinking real clear when they built this. Not real sure if I would stay here again just because of the wait on elevators to go anywhere.

Elevators were very slow and even out of service. Crowded & packed on every elevator trip.

Seriously amazing service all the way around. Shuttle to a concert was fantastic. My only complaint is that restaurants aren’t accessible to those under 21, keep that in mind if you’re traveling with minors.

Room was good with a great view. Pretty quiet. Small wardrobe. Nice coffee machine. Steamer rather than an iron. Didn’t work but friendly reception staff organised an iron and board. Have to book room service, but staff were always great about giving more coffee supplies etc. No ‘proper’ bar (drinks from reception shop) and no restaurant. For bars and food you had to go across the walkway to the casino. That had fast food outlets and a restaurant along with bars. Staying at the hotel you could use the Social Club in the casino. That had a great selection of drinks and snacks at great prices! Also very friendly and efficient staff! Would stay again.

Only 2 of the 4 elevators were working so long wait times to use them. Other than that it is a very nice hotel.

There should be at least one microwave downstairs for ALL

Area around the hotel is under construction roads are closed and ripped up. The amenities charge is excessive for valet parking(they didn’t tell us about it until we were checking out) and the exercise room which was average.

Construction around hotel made it very difficult to find valet parking. Not well marked on how to get there. Stay was good, but trying to get out the room to the lobby at check out was terrible. Kevin came to our room with a baggage cart, but we couldn't get on the elevator because they were packed each time they came to our floor (8th). Kevin was great! He apologized and told us that only two of the four elevators were working. We waited for a half hour before unpacking the cart and going down one by one as the elevator came back to the floor. What a pain. Room didn't have enough towels or coffee. Called front desk and they ran stuff up right away.

Was hard to find the parking garage as everthing is under construction, area will be great when done,would stay again,only bad thing when leaving we could not get elevator to go down,had to walk 19 floors down with luggage.

The room was neglected. Dirty is an understatement. The fridge was filled with food left from previous stay. Bugs in the bathroom. Hair, dust, debris all over every surface and floors.

Amenities needs to be updated , we pay for a resort fee but never receive anything different than a regular hotel. The cast feature on the tv is terrible and needs to have the option to use apps already on the tv. The room could’ve used better cleaning, there was old moldy food in the fridge as it hadn’t been checked for days. There was face tissue under the mattress. When we call for assistance they are usually fast however we didn’t receive any compensation or complimentary anything for the inconveniences. Check in is always fast and smooth and the young lady i dealt with was very nice and helpful.

The room was immaculate, clean and updated. Bathroom and shower were spacious. The view of downtown was top-notch. I’ll definitely be staying here again.

We booked two rooms and one of the rooms had a terrible smoke smell so we had to go back and request a new room. The staff was accommodating. The room was clean however it appears that it's difficult to get dirt/garbage under the bathroom sink as we noticed a Qtip from someone else. We had drinks in the special casino lounge and only $5/drink was great! Staff was very friendly.

First room I was put in there was and actual dump in the toilet, poop paper and all. Crumbs on the counter and stuff in the trash. I went down to the front desk and was given another room but no discount or anything. Was disappointed about that.

If you don't care about cleanliness, this might be a gross hotel for you. The sheets and curtains were stained. The bathroom floors had mold in the grout and the floors weren't clean at all. The bedside table had white crusty stuff on it. Most of the staff were stoic and uncaring and one really nice lady who gave us complementary water. Complementary toiletries were empty. We won't be back

Corners of the cabinet where the refrigerator was had crumbs. A there was dust inside the cabinet. There was hair left on the floors and I found a pill @ the edge of the bed. There was also stains on the comforter.

We love staying at this property but I wish the rooms received better cleaning between guests. The rug in our room desperately needed vacuuming. The amount of other guests hair we found in our bathroom & on our bedding was unacceptable.

Blood stains, urine stains, lipstick stains all over my sheets. No soap whatsoever in the room. "Sorry about that" was the response.

Room was dirty

The room was nice and clean. The hotel only clean your room every three days. You also have to request for trash to be taken out, more towels and wash cloths. There is no microwave in the room. It did smell like smoke in the elevator and on our floor when arrived.

The toilet seat was broken and made it very difficult to use during our stay. We also did not get any room service or fresh towels.

Check in staff was really nice. We were there for Halloween so it was fun. Got access to a special social lounge which was appreciated because some of the smoking in the casino is just too much to bear! Room was clean (checked the bed), the view of the city was amazing. Walls are a little thin, got woken up to I believe someone upstairs being very loud during adult activities. Really couldn’t go back to bed after that unfortunately. Nice place overall but little things could elevate it a bit. For the price though, I really can’t complain.

From the moment we walked in, the experience was amazing! Sarah M at the desk was so kind and thoughtful. She made sure that we were on a high floor with a great view. The room is clean and so comfortable. The views are stunning and the location is perfect for any sporting event.

We often stay at this hotel and have never had a problem. The floor we were on had noise until 4 AM back-and-forth from other guest, screaming up and down the hallways.

Room was hot. Turned air on and never got to a comfortable temp. Room lighting is very dim as well after night. Room was too hot to have the curtains open when it was daytime. Trying to get ready was terrible in the lighting.

AC didnt work and the receptionist had an attidue about it. Took over 8 hours to get someone in to look at it and it still didnt work. Didnt get below 75 in iur room and i had a fan i briught with me. It was set to 66.

Super vibrant hotel, lots going on & very central if you wanted to walk out. We had a king deluxe room which was in the 27th floor with city view- amazing. Super big bed with lovely sheets & pillow( wish I could take it home) , modern shower & spacious room- loved it & would definitely recommend.

Everyone we encountered there was very nice. Brayden at the front desk went above and beyond. I was having trouble with my Detroit Tigers tickets on my phone. I could not get the barcode to show. The game was in three hours. He looked at my phone and fixed it in a couple of minutes. I really appreciate the extra helpful service. Everyone should be that nice in this world.

Staff was AMAZING, friendly, helpful and kind. Welcomed EVERYONE as hey entered, parking was convenient. Great team!

I want to start by saying Valet, Bellhop, and Restaurant services were amazing! However, when we checked in, the girl at the counter waved us forward (or so I thought), then snootily replied with “I’m serving the VIP line”. That already left a bad taste in my mouth. Then, even though we checked in at 7:30 pm, our room wasn’t ready. I booked this 1 month in advance and never received a phone call. It was for my sister’s 40th Birthday, and they offered us a King room with a rollaway bed after paying over $500 (I booked a double Queen). We had to use the public bathrooms to change our clothes and get ready for dinner (I know, I know, first world problems…). I don’t use my phone much, so I’d given them my sister’s number to call when the room was ready. We headed to dinner, only to be turned away because we had to check our bags with the Bellhop. When we finally got to dinner, she continued to check her phone- no missed calls. I finally pulled mine out to call and see if our room was ready- I had a missed call 20 minutes prior. Turns out, they wrote her number down wrong, and since no one answered, THEY GAVE OUR ROOM AWAY! Back to waiting again. 3 hours later, at 10:30 pm, they finally had a room ready for us- only to find a wad of hair in the “bedroom area” and hair all over the bathroom floor. There were multiple people waiting in the waiting area with the same problem. Manager and front desk staff need some training and hospitality courses.

The check in service was horrible. The manager was extremely unprofessional. One person working the desk with a long line waiting for service with 2 other employees who were there and could have assisted.

The property is new and nice. The hotel has a policy where they charge $50 for early check-in. So, beware the large line of people who arrived an hour or two early and were disgusted by the charge and and are all waiting to check-in at 3. The policy left a bad taste before anyone was able to see their room.

The check in line was extremely long however the staff was nice but the room was dirty trash on the floor sheets was dirty with stains and drapes were dusty with visible dust. The room and hotel also did not have a pleasant smell very stale. There was also trash in the hallways just a very unkept property for the price definately would not recommend or stay here again. Long line after the concert to get in the elevators the hotel should have been better prepared for the crowd that was in town for the Chris Brown concert very disappointed.

Long line to check in and helped VIPs before non-VIPs even if waiting for long time. No housekeeping provided. AC leaked and soaked the entire room. Had to call down every day multiple times to request housekeeping and at least towels for leaking AC. Maintenance came at almost 11pm. Day of checkout was told I could checkout at noon then they hurried me out the door at 11am.

There was a water main break and when we arrived we were told that we would not be able to check in until 7 pm. This was our 49th anniversary and we needed to change after attending a ball game. The staff there did arrange a room at another hotel near by, but it was not as nice and did not have the same amenities. We had to walk to get there with our luggage in 90 plus degree heat. We had booked a room with a king sized bed but the new room had two queens. The Casino did allow us to use their free parking garage. Overall me made the best of things throughout the ordeal, but our special day was not as planned 😞

Great location near sports and restaurants

Excellent hotel in the lively Greektown area of Detroit. Parking is free and plentiful. Lots of bars and eateries nearby. Comfortable, modern rooms, with hands-down the best shower that I can remember in a hotel for a long time!

Very nice bathroom and furniture in the room. Very walkable to anywhere downtown Detroit! Parking was also easy, the only downside was there was construction and it wasn’t easy to find our way into the hotel. It took us a while to find where to go but after that everything went smoothly!

Nice hotel, very close to big venues/sports fields/entertainment. Parking is confusing, however not the hotels fault just lots of construction. Love that valet was includes with stay!

Downtown construction makes getting around a little more difficult and the bars down the road have music that’s super loud till 2-3 A.M. Facility itself is great! I had a hard time finding the parking garage and I called them and the lady (I didn’t catch her name and I’m bummed I didn’t.) gave me turn by turn directions to the parking garage. Top notch service!! The lady at the front desk was very helpful with getting us an extra blanket and finding a quieter place to relax.

Greektown is in a prime spot for walkability to a lot of attractions!

Perfect location for access to downtown and the sports arenas. Great views of Detroit. Comfortable bed. Just a heads-up: in June 2025 the Greektown area had lots of road construction so the entrance to valet parking was not super clear. I self-parked and it felt safe and convenient.

The area around the hotel is all under construction, but valet was very easy. Staff was very friendly and it was close to the baseball park.

Great location!!! Walking distance for everything once you park your car you will not need it again.

The hotel is beautiful! The beds are so comfortable, rooms are beautiful and the staff is so friendly and helpful! Not easy to get to because of all the construction, but they can’t help that. I have never been in a hotel that the lobby smelled so good! Will stay there again for a Tigers game; great walking distance to the field.

We found not having a breakfast place difficult. The property has a self-serve take-out, where I could get and did get a yogurt with a credit card but, then doesn't tell you to "just walk out with it" and somehow, it will show on your card. Then there is a Dunkin Donuts that improperly calls the Bavarian Creme, a Chocolate Eclair. That isn't satisfactory. Loved the quiet, and won at the casino, yea.

No food had to go out bed was okay

Room sheets was dirty on both beds. All resturant close at 11pm was starving after the concert!

I loved that the hotel was within walking distance to Ford Field. It made our experience perfect. Room was clean. The only area for improvement is to have the hotel restaurants open later than 11. We didn’t get back from our concert until after 11 and there was no where to get food. There was one pizza place open close by but it was packed when we got there and we waited awhile before just leaving. We never did get food. The marketplace in the hotel didn’t have anything of substance. Maybe room service could be open later also. I would return to this hotel.

The suite was really nice. My one complaint is that food service stops at 10PM, and the resteraunts also close at 10PM. I got in after 10PM, so I could not get anything to eat once I arrived.
