SpringHill Suites by Marriott New Bern

We loved the heated pool for the kids. Also the lobby was spacious and had lots of open seating for our large family. Loved watching the football game on the big screen tv in the lobby. Staff were very friendly

Staff was friendly. Check in and out was easy. The room was nice, spacious, and comfortable. AC worked great. The indoor pool was fun but the bathroom in the pool area was an utter disaster and completely disgusting. We opted to dry off and go upstairs when we needed to use the restroom. Breakfast was great. The waffle bar was a favorite for the family and there was a variety of other items available too. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Everything was as expected. Fast check in. Room was satisfactory but kind of awkward arrangement. Lower rating given on “Eco” because of extraordinary cost of EV charging. $4.00/ hour ?!?! Hard to get charging going. Ended with 1/2 hour at $3.49.

Everyone and everything was excellent. The room was spacious. The breakfast area was spotless offering many choices for breakfast. We stayed 7 days and enjoyed every minute of our stay, including the HEATED indoor pool.

Was very pleased to find that the pool is heated. And even with the door open to the outside. It was nice and comfortable in a friendly atmosphere.

We couldn’t check in due to no water in the hotel

Property was super conveniently located, pool area was nice and clean, outdoor patio was very nice space to relax, breakfast in the morning was great. Staff was super helpful, as I needed to adjust our check out date a few times, given changes due to my mom's hospitalization. They were very accommodating every day.

I was in town for my fathers surgery and though it was a stressful situation, I had a pleasent stay at Springhill. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, and guest services were professional and cheerful. I was greeted while coming in and leaving. The breakfast was good and had a nice variety. I used the lobby to meet a couple of family members while my father's surgery was underway. The lobby was spacious and clean, and we were comfortable while talking. My daughter and grandson used the pool, and said it was nice. This is my third stay at the hotel, and it has always been a positive experience. The only complaint I had was that there were three of us and we didn't have enough towels. When I requested more towels, I was only allotted two more (for three people), and was told by the desk clerk that she was alone there and couldn't leave to get us more. But no offer was made for a later delivery. This was a minor inconvenience for an otherwise great stay. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

I love the large, warm, heated, swimming pool for exercise. The complementary breakfast were delicious and hot and satisfying. The carpeting could stand to be replaced. Some of the cabinetry was destroyed in the Room It smelled clean, and we left a tip for house cleaning. That’s extremely hard work and it was much appreciated, when you’re traveling to have a clean room - that smells good. Please don’t ever let people smoke in your building, there’s nothing worse than nicotine smell when you’re non-smoker. Thanks

Room was dirty and dusty. Bathroom was dirty and in poor condition.

Room was nice , stayed for three days no one cleaned the room , brought towels or replenished coffe etc is my only complaint Going to the desk to request items inside and outside of property is kept very nice and clean In a good area close to all

We have stayed here before and had a great experience so came back again. This time was not as great, but not terrible. I will preface with I am meticulous with cleanliness so the random hairs stuck in our clean towels and still in the shower upon our arrival were a turn off for me. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess at the front desk for our late arrival the first night; however, the second night when we went down to ask for a spoon- mind you we looked around first so we would not have to bother anyone if we did not have to- we stood at the front desk for quite some time purposely making noise as we heard someone in the back office who would not come out. Finally, we picked up the phone to call back there and the same lady from the previous night came out with quite the opposite demeanor from the night before asking if we were calling. We stated yes, that we just needed a spoon and asked for water(which they had offered every other time we had walked past the front desk)She very rudely asked what is your name? Again, we stated we just needed a spoon and water. She ended up giving us the spoon but said she couldn’t give us water. The next night when we walked in it was a different host at the front desk who again offered each of us waters. So not sure what the issue was. Overall not a terrible stay but the customer service and cleanliness was definitely not what it was our first stay here.

I was disappointed and a bit repulsed that the carpet in both elevators was terribly stained, with a variety of stain sizes and 'colors', obviously sustained over time. The tile in my bathroom had old, dirty grout. The cleaning staff were excellent; it was the overall condition of the hotel that was not up to par.

However the bathroom was not as clean as it should be, there were hard water stains on the shower door and the bottom of the wall by the shower was pealing. When you flush the toilet, you got a back splash of water. When we inquired about getting a new room, the staff was friendly. We had to remove all of our luggage back to our car so they could check out the room and then we had to lug all of our luggage from the car back into the hotel. Also the AC units in both rooms very loud. We come to the area often, hope to have a better stay

Property is convenient to New Bern and the summer camps. Overall property is great, but the bathrooms need some attention (slow drains, dirty showers). Some of our linen was stained.

There was poop on the underside of the toilet seat. Totally grossed me out. If a housekeeper misses something so obvious and important, imagine what else they missed? Breakfast was really good and better than expected.

We were disappointed in this location. While the bed looked nice when we arrived, it was very lumpy and uneven, giving us a bad nights sleep. We found a used towel behind the bathroom door that was missed by the service team, making us question whether the room was clean. The shower drain made a drip drip sound all night.. we had to close door to mask the sound. All in all we were glad we only booked 1 night

Great as always. I have never been dissapointed with Marriott Bonvoy. Friendly, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast is the best. They have something for everyone. Very good for families. Rooms that accommodate up to 6.

Large rooms but the hotel is unfortunately located near highway and our room was facing that highway so the noise was a little too much.

Everything was fine except for very noisy neighbors next door having a all night party. It interupted my sleep, which I badly needed from my work, etc. I had to call the front desk, because of the noise. It was a bit better, but not entirely. I feel these party animals, who were very disrespectful to others, should have been told to leave- immediately. Who needs this bs to start out the new year???

Great rate for room large enough for me and my four daughters to stay.

Shower cracked. Room not set up no trash bags. No tissues.. tv with cable yaaa 12 channels aamd turn on when full volume. By itself.

The room has such a nice layout that feels just like home. The shower is nice and big, there’s a couch that is giant and could easily sleep two people. The bed was a little hard but other than that our stay was great!

The water wasn’t hot enough to shower and my room wasn’t ready when I arrived I waited 30-45 minutes before it was ready had to wait on housekeeping to clean it after being on the road for 9 and half hours driving. Lady at desk swiped my card without even telling me my total. I had to check my account to see the price was different when I arrived in person.

I made specific request for first floor because husband was having outpatient surgery and we needed to stay close. Called 3 times making sure all was as needed. He wasn’t supposed to walk far. Guess what no room on first floor and that made me upset. Plus was charged more than when I booked.

The room was not ready at the check-in time. Check-in was 4:pm, I did not check-in until almost 5:30. They are short staffed at the hotel. The desk attendant was very gracious and kept apologizing. The manager on duty was lackadaisical at best. The ottoman in the room had obvious food stains. I made sure to advise them so we wouldn't be held responsible.

We stayed at the Springhill suites over Easter and had a great stay. The room was spacious for our family of four and the location was very convenient for our travel purposes. We used the indoor pool which our kids loved, but it did not seem to be monitored or well kept (towels everywhere, basket covers missing). We had a few requests for housekeeping and were told we couldn’t receive extra pillows the first night due to staffing and the receptionist being unable to leave the desk. It also took a very long time to get them the following day. Those are truly our only complaints, otherwise we had a wonderful stay. We particularly enjoyed the options at breakfast, they even had gluten free toast and muffins to accommodate my celiac son. We would definitely stay again, just with the expectation that housekeeping isn’t quite what we would expect. The room was clean upon arrival and the other common spaces were well kept.

The hotel is very nice, what sets it apart is the staff-absolutely top notch. Whatever you’re doing keep it up.

Great location easy to get to places

Location is tucked away but minutes away from shopping and only 5 minutes from downtime New Bern. Comfy beds and quiet to sleep in!

The property is convenient. It’s close to other stores.

Property is convenient to highways but not convenient to historic, downtown New Bern. Beds were high for my sister, who is a short, older woman. There should be small step-stool for getting onto the bed.

Large rooms but the hotel is unfortunately located near highway and our room was facing that highway so the noise was a little too much.

This was a well managed property from check in the breakfast and everything in between. This location is great as it’s so close to the town center of New Bern.

The property is located near a main highway but in a quiet area. Plenty of shops and restaurants around. Our room was upgraded and was very nice, clean and well-appointed. It was a very good experience.

I loved this hotel. Everything was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The kitchen manager, Miss Lily, is an absolute gem. I had a question and she not only answered it, but gave me a tour of the kitchen. (Which was immaculately clean, by the way). She was the highlight of our stay. The hot breakfast is very good and items are different each day. I loved the room, the bed was very comfortable, and the layout was excellent. It had everything we needed. The hotel was quiet. I really enjoyed being able to get coffee anytime i wanted, and it was GOOD coffee. I'm in New Bern a few times a year and will stay here again.

Was in town for a family reunion had 4 rooms total ages 6 months to 17. The breakfast was hot and filling perfect for our group. The pool stays open till 11 I think that's the latest we ever had a pool open on our hotel stays. Even had cake and ice cream for my son's 11th b'day in the lobby. We all agreed the coffee was not the best if we had to find something wrong. Great hotel great experience!!!

There could have been more variety for the continental breakfast. The only meat available was turkey sausage.

Food was great with lots of choices, staff are friendly especially the housekeeper Melinda, shout out to her, she made our bed nice and clean and provided extra towels, she’s very nice. The facility is clean and quiet, it’s very accessible to the stores and restaurants. Very well recommended.
