Stayed 1 night

This was my third stay at this hotel, and unfortunately it was my worst due to inconsistent policies and poor customer service. During my previous two stays, I paid a $35 early check-in fee when checking in before the standard time. This visit, I was denied early check-in altogether. While I understand policies can change, consistency and communication are important. The biggest issue was the front desk clerk during check-in. After resolving an issue with the reservation name, I was told the security deposit would be $150 for a one-night stay. Ironically, the deposit was more than the cost of my one night’s room before taxes. On both of my previous stays, the hotel only placed a $40 per-night hold on my card. When I politely asked why it was different, I explained that I had bank records showing the previous deposits. Instead of offering an explanation or saying the policy had changed, the clerk repeatedly responded, “$150,” with no courtesy, apology, or professionalism. If policies have changed since my last stay in May, that’s understandable—but customers deserve a respectful explanation, not hostility. Sadly, the poor customer service overshadowed what had previously been enjoyable stays.

Very nice property with large rooms and a small dinette with fridge and cooktop. About 10-15m walk from Metro. Safe neighborhood, we had no issues.
