One strangely unique thing about this property is that there is NO ICE MACHINE! What in the world were they thinking? The hotel was nice but I just can't stay at a hotel without an ice machine

The property is around a few longer term stay suites, lots of stores and shopping areas nearby that are walkable. The hotel is exactly average and what I was looking for. The room was clean enough and the amenities were great, it’s pet friendly too which is a bonus. Absolutely screams Virgina.

The location was great, its near restaurants, and shopping. There wasn't a store within the hotel as advertised or vending maxhine. There were dirty towels from the previous guest left on the bathroom floor and strands of red hair on the kitchen coubter.

This is one of the best properties in the area. The rooms are spacious, clean and well stocked. The manager and staff are fantastic! Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel for business travelers as most people here are workers and military. The imposed quiet time is great. The kitchen features are great for longer stays. I have stayed here twice while in transition and would definitely recommend to anyone and will be recommending to my friends and family traveling to the area.

it was horrible from the time we walked in the door. We left early so i could get a service oriented place to stay where the staff wouldn’t accuse me of having white priveledge and give me a fake name. Also for gods sake put in ice machines!!!

Good parking, close to all kinds of stuff. Airport very close. The bathrooms had moldy caulk.. but the tub wasn’t dirty, nor were the rooms. Staff was very outgoing, friendly and accommodating.

The ice machine in the room didn’t work and they had no ice machine stations on the floors. We had a fire alarm in the middle of the night so we all had to stand outside for an hour and there was nothing wrong. And upon check out I was charged hundreds of extra dollars for no reason since I had paid the full price on this platform. Also, the towel rack in the bathroom just came off the wall. The drywall just gave way and let it fall.

This is definitely a disappointment. Sure isn’t worth the price. Trash piled up in hall all day and night. Cans over flowing outside main entrance. Enough trash lining the front of the building to fill a truck bed. Go to walk up the stairs inside and I look down and see aluminum foil with some sort of substance that you could tell was cooked in the foil. Total disappointment.

Room was dirty. Had to ask front desk to come clean nasty toilet. Had no shower curtain. Then worker brought in a dirty one. No towels or washcloths were ever ready..always in the dryer. Air conditioning was not cooling room.

This hotel was great for the time that we needed to stay. The front desk associates were great. Very friendly, hospitable, inviting, and helpful. The only thing that I didn't like was that our tub/shower wasn't very clean. There were strands of hair in it. The toilet could have used a better cleaning as well. There were yellow stains that were at the base of the toilet. Also, the door to the bathroom was not leveled and dirty looking. Other than these things, our room was good.

Best hotel stay I’ve had in a long time. Convenient location and friendly staff. Tay really helped me out by getting me an early check in and my room was clean, spacious and cool. Would reccomend and if I’m ever back on the area, I would return!

The property needs some updating. The air conditioning was not working correctly. When we first got in the room everything was wet. The humidity was really high. Both floors were wet. Had to turn on the heat to dry everything out and then turn off the unit completely. Also the facets in the bathtub was backwards so we thought we didn’t have hot water. The front dest suggested the faucet was inverted and it was.

Arrived with no hot water, that happens not their fault. Tv only had one channel and floors weren’t as clean as should be. No skillet in room only 2 pots and ice maker might have made 8 cubes from 5 that evening until 7 the next morning.

Candlewood Suites was beautiful on the outside of the property but we had nonstop issues on our 3 night stay. Upon check-in, they told us their system was “down”. But we were able to get into the room. Studio suites are quite small. They did not offer housekeeping services since it was a 3 night stay. The first night our room key card stopped working, the room phone wouldn’t work, the WiFi wouldn’t work, and the TV completely stopped working. Shut off every couple minutes. The desk staff then needed us to come down to the desk at 8:30pm to sign more paperwork since the system was down and they needed more information on paper. The staff ended up moving us rooms late at night since nothing in our room was working. Each day the room key card stopped working and we had to get a new one. The system remained mostly down for the weekend and we watched many people stopping at the desk with issues or not being able to check-in altogether. Female desk staff wore pajamas all weekend. The good things would be a comfortable bed and nice amount of counter space. Would not stay again.

The front desk attendant was very pleasant. We got in earlier than check in as we were out of our vacation rental and she helped us get into a room quickly . We sure appreciated her accommodating us and getting us a late checkout for next day so we could go straight to airport after our stay. Great customer service!!

The condition of the hotel was very disappointing. Cleanliness and upkeep were clearly not a priority, and our expectations were not met. Worst of all, we were not told they were having issues with their fire alarm and we were woken up at 4 am by the fire alarm going off. We rushed downstairs along with other guests and given no direction or explanation after the fire alarm turned off. We all just assumed that it was a false alarm however no explanation was ever given by staff until the day after when it was time for us to check out.

The third floor had a nasty odor.The hotel seemed like a refurbished hotel. They assuredly need the rugs replaced. They are stinky and smelly. No bath towels supplied I had to request 3x .my room had a kitchen with no silverware and coffee cups that didn't fit the coffee machine. So for the price of the room to me it wasn't worth it. The only good thing was it's convenience to military highway a main highway. But the man who checked me in was very nice

After a long day of travel we arrived at the hotel late where there was a very noisy party in the parking lot. Called to the front desk but they were not able to help. It wasn’t until close to 2:00 AM when I called IHG customer service that management of the hotel got involved and were able to break up the party. Not a great experience!

Reception at check-in was good. Room smelled like fish. Maid apologized and sprayed the living area with something that I think was very diluted - didn't smell anything; but she didn't spray the kitchen area. I had to check out at around 4am, the coffee maker in the room was broken, there was no coffee available downstairs and staff just told me she will let the morning crew make coffee. I checked out without coffee at all!!!
