If you have to be at the airport 2 hours prior to your flight, plan to be out of your room and waiting for the elevator 2 hour prior to leaving the hotel. Terrible !!! Just one elevator working and the others out of order.

Overall a decent stay. Only issue is that you have to reserve a provided shuttle in advance or else you will not get a time. Other Hampton Inn’s have a couple of shuttles running that are 24/7. A little surprised since the location of the hotel is very close to JFK Airport.

The promised ‘free shuttle’ didn’t come. I waited more than 45 mins. I called the hotel three times and was reassured that it was on the way. Meanwhile, the van for the neighboring hotel came and went 4 times! I ended up paying for a ride service to take me the 1 mile to the hotel. Then there was no compensation or apology at the hotel. The elevator smelled of marijuana and the staff seemed annoyed by the presence of guests. By far the worst Hampton Inn experience I have had.

This hotel is a dump and I am shocked that Hilton would have their name attached to it. The condition of the hotel is poor - from the walls, elevators, wallpaper, grout, etc., it's like a rundown Motel 6! The windows in the room are so dirty that it's like there's a hazy fog covering them. We ordered "dinner" from the bar (a burger and club sandwich) that was going to take 45 minutes, so they were supposed to call our room when ready. After about 1 1/2 hours we finally went down to pick it up. There it was, sitting on the side and we were told they tried to call our room and couldn't get through. Hmm. The "shuttle service" doesn't take you to your terminal but to an air train. All of this for $300 for the night. Stay away!

Property is close to the airport. Breakfast was great. Room was clean but bathroom had pink mold spots and hair from previous guests. The bathroom just looks dirty as caulking or silicone does not fix the problems with it.

The hotel staff were very accommodating. That said the property is in bad shape. Whole hotel smelled like mildew; they made a decision (bad) not to allow any ventilation from the outside windows; in our case the broken bathroom exhaust fan steamed up our entire room like a sauna. We constantly used febreze to cut the mildew smell. The bathroom temperature was uncontrolled; I scalded myself when the lever was toward hot. No temperature should be that hot- ever. Broken vanity light in bafhroom and created cord to room phone so calls were garbled. Hotel staff very attentive but they go to get a handle on the smell and oppressive mildew scent.

We checked in and went to our room. When we arrived the door was open and there was someone inside smoking pot. We turned around and went back to desk. Got a different room. There was a group of kids, maybe a team, traveling with adults. 2 teenage girls arrived back in the lobby when we did telling their adult there was a man in their room. That could have been a really ugly situation. Our room was very shabby and did not smell clean. There was no way to close the privacy curtains because the rod in the middle was missing. Hallway carpet was filthy. For breakfast the seating area was filthy and also.the exterior view through the windows was filthy. Breakfast was not open on time and when it did open the hot food wasn't ready. We went To get our shuttle. It.had not been changed from the.wrong room and also had already left. There was not another available shuttle.until 1000 which is when we fly so needed a taxi. I was informed that.was $25, I didnt think it was going to be free. I dont know what the desk person expected me to do miss my flight, $25 was inconsequential at that point. Not the best way to start 10 hours of flying today. On the otherhand, the taxi driver was.awesome and fun and made up for the awful hotel experience. I cannot believe Hilton would associate with a.dump like this.

I just needed a night stay for a layover flight at JFK. The toilet ran all night and I could hear through the thin walls. The property is dated and the room had stains on the carpet. I couldn't shut the curtains all the way and I was concerned for privacy. The bed was comfortable which was nice, but I wouldn't stay here again.

Arrived at midnight, waited to check in for ever. There were two people on duty, but one was busy taking care of complaining customers while the other checked in people. We picked this hotel because of the airport shuttle. When we checked in, they told us it was full and would not pay for a cab. The key did not work 3 times and finially they gave us another room. Room was what you would expect. Then in the morning there was no water preasure and I had to skip the shower. When I went down to the lobby, there was again a crowd and I just left. I called Hilton, and we both left messages for the general manger and she would not call back.

I originally gave this property a five star review but I asked for help with the shuttle on my return and contrary to the great customer service I got the first time, I got no response this time and had to pay $30 for an Uber to the hotel. When I complained to the front desk guy that my messages were ignored, he laughed at me and shrugged his shoulders. Very disappointing. Won’t be booking here again.

Took over 15 minutes for the app to find the shuttle driver then another 15 min till he arrived. Tried to call the hotel multiple times and no one answered. There was no one at the desk when we checked out- and I was there 10 minutes waiting for the shuttle driver. I wouldn’t stay here again

A simple commuter hotel. Located close to JFK- with a complimentary shuttle. Be warned the shuttle doesn’t drop you at your airline terminal- but at the air train station so budget your time accordingly. Parking and access with a car is near impossible. The surrounding neighborhood is also not really recommended to walk around alone. Hotel could for sure use some cosmetic work and a good deep clean.

The area was not in a good location…as was mentioned in Google… felt a bit unsafe. Parking was inconvenience as we were kinda force to pay valet.. plus.. Limited dining area and menu. Breakfast was ok, but can be better.. good to stay for 1-2 nights only.. prolong, stay, not recommended.. Previously, stayed in Hampton Inn in other states and they were much better.. very satisfied… perhaps, NYC-JFK locations needs a bit of improvement, overall..

Hampton’s are know for their breakfasts. There was no coffee at 6 am and when I asked when will the coffee be ready the reply was not until later. Breakfast started at 6 am but no coffee and I wasn’t the only one looking for the coffee.

The property was great and overall, the staff was professional and attentive. Downside was the kitchen service. While at the bar, having been traveling all day, I was hungry and needed something to eat. I ordered the pepperoni pizza. For a simple pizza, I waited an hour and twenty minutes before came to me. When I inquired, I was told this was the second day for the newly hired chef. This was the same for other patrons. Some simply walked out in disgust due to the long wait for food. Kim, the bartender who was on duty that evening, did an incredible job in pacifying and ameliorating the incoming flack directed at her from disgruntled patrons due to the delay in receiving their food. As in my case, waiting as long as I did for a pizza was totally unacceptable.
