Best Western Greenfield Inn

The hotel is decorated with history. The rooms could use a little refresh. No USB ports for charging. The pool and hot tub were well maintained. The gym had broken equipment, a non working mounted television, and the water tank was empty.

The elevator was out of order, the ice machine out of order, the toilet wouldn’t fill in the room and when we called down there was no maintenance available until morning (when we were leaving) they told us to just take the back off every time we use it and lift the lever inside, there was Cheetos and Reese’s PB cups candy wrappers on the floor between the beds and more wrappers between the bed and the loveseat and the mini fridge in the room has a short in the wire so it would only turn on if something was touching the wire which is a total fire hazard. Again, we called about this but no maintenance so we were told to just unplug it. We had food to store in it that we weren’t able to put in it. And lastly the hot tub was out of order. The staff was not helpful and not friendly.

Cleanliness was uppermost. Transportation to/from Ford Campus was excellent. Bar and restaurant, pool, hot tub and sauna a plus.

My toddler loved that we were staying in a pink castle! Room was perfectly clean thankfully. Looked at so many reviews for hotels and this was what we were left with, glad we chose here. Hot tub under maintenance but pool was nice and also a good sauna

Great automotive theme in the hotel decor and very good hot tub, pool and sauna area. Good value for the money. This is basically one of those older, faded elegance type of properties.

The hotel is a good option close to the highway for a few nights. Being an older property the rooms are spacious which is a big plus. Location is quite good as well with most of Detroit attractions a quick drive away and some decent shopping in the neighborhood as well. Breakfast was well above expectations and the young lady who manages breakfast is a beacon for customer service. She was amazing all three days that we stayed. The customer service at the front desk however was a completely different story. Check in was cold and unwelcoming. They make access to the pool as inconvenient as possible. On check in I was rudely asked if we planned on using the pool during our stay. Its an amenity and I should have the freedom of using it if I want to. On Friday when we did want to use the pool the lady at the front desk seemed most irritated with us and very grudgingly asked me to fill out a form and then handed over wristbands which they are neurotic about. There was no one else at the pool but they almost seem to not want anyone to use it. At the pool another staff came to check if we had the wristbands even though there was no one else at the pool and then told me that my child could not be around between 3 pm and 10 pm. Lastly the hotel also seems to be falling apart. It is old and it shows. A bathroom door that you have to slam shut because its warped and a armchair that was filthy. The room door looked liked someone had to try to smash their way in.

Very cool place! We checked-in late so we didn't get to enjoy the gazebo(s) or courtyard but we did enjoy the pool and gigantic hot tub. Oh, there is a sauna too! The snack area is full of everything that you need. The room is spacious and clean. It had a fridge and microwave.

They very rude there and they won’t let you swim or be in the swimming area without a blue wristband

We always stay at this property and are always pleased, but this last time I did not appreciate due to dirty floors especially in bathroom and hair in bathtub.

Only that the building is big. Literally not a 3 star rating hotel. Full of dirty on steps, room. Outside of the property, dust everywhere, we afraid of placin our luggage on the floor.

It was great. Pool was great and the hot tub and sauna were actuslly hot. Breakfast wasnt too bad either. Very clean and loved the history in the building too. Would highly recommend

The room wasn’t cleaned on 2 nights, toilet paper not replaced. Pool is filthy. Gym is not cleaned. The restaurant closes early most nights and you’re far from Detroit. Extremely uncomfortable beds…this was the WORST Best Western I’ve ever stayed in during my travels

Everything was spotless and fresh smelling. Desk staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, but not exactly something to go out of our way for. But that was incidental to the over all experience. Very nice and well priced!

My boyfriend and I decided to book this hotel room for a little logo getaway. I’ve read many good reviews so I was interested. The breakfast was less than mediocre. When we returned to our room to take showers, the maids were checking our room out and we didn’t check out! So needless to say we retrieved what stuff she was about to steal back (in her hands) and left. Oh and everyone, they didn’t change them sheets. At all.

Unseasonably warm weather coincided with the hotel not yet turning off the boiler, so rooms had only heat and no AC available. Opening the window helped, but no screen meant I had to close it for the night. Attempt to contact front desk went unanswered, (but it was about 12:30 AM, so I didn't try a second time). Otherwise, room was fine, staff was cheerful, and the $5 breakfast was a bargain.

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is pretty and has some interesting old furniture and pictures to look at. The staff is very friendly. We enjoyed sitting in one of the gazebos and enjoying the morning breeze. The pool was a little chilly, but that might just be us, we're in our 60's.The wifi in our room wasn't very strong and somewhat spotty. The breakfast was good and kept hot, but go very early. We went down about seven and found one of the hot items gone and another almost gone. They were in the process of preparing more, but there were several people waiting for the new batch to come out which didn't happen in the twenty minutes or so we were there. There were two tour busses in the parking lot which probably contributed to the demand on the food. This hotel is very convenient to the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village, just a few minutes away. Overall, a nice stay.

Some aspects of the hotel have been updated, others have not. In from one of the main pillars is crumbling and had to be strapped to the other. In my room there was updated flooring and furniture, but the shower head leaked and sprayed water out into the bathroom and the bathroom fan squealed loudly.

This property has no screens in the window and no air conditioning. Their only source of cooling down the room was a dirty fan and to open a window with no screen in it. Fridge in the room not working! Old hallways very vintage and character but room and bathrooms tiny and overall absolutely not worth what I thought would be a cute pink hotel. Do not stay here!

The beds were comfortable and pillows. Rooms are very old and dated, tv's are not good.

Room was right next to the utility room so, we didn’t get much sleep do to the pump noise all night long.

It was a nice experience, and I could see myself staying again, but the one thing that I didn’t care for was the view from my window. The view was completely blocked by another part of the hotel building's roof. Terrible view, but other than that a nice stay. Would definitely stay again, just a different room.

The room was clean and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. However, the electrical outlets were quite loose, which made it difficult to use devices like the hair dryer and phone chargers. The pull-out couch was uncomfortable and only came with sheets; there were no extra pillows or blankets provided. The beds, while squeaky, were comfortable. The air conditioning worked exceptionally well, and the water temperature and pressure were phenomenal. I appreciated the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers available in the bathroom. The pool was excellent, but it was disappointing that there was a no-children rule for the hot tub, as my kids enjoy using it. I also used the gym during our stay. Although being next to the pool made for a humid workout, the equipment was well-maintained, and the gym was clean.

We typically stay at this hotel once a year as part of a visit to Greenfield Village. We love the pool and the restaurant. The breakfast always has enough for everyone's tastes. This year there was a major storm and the power was out, causing the closure of the pool and the restaurant. We were impressed that staff ordered pizza so that they had something to serve while their kitchen had no electricity. In the morning, they brought in coffee, donuts, fruit, and other things so that there was enough selection for everyone. We were impressed with the creativity and the great service in the midst of a very difficult and unexpected event.

Weekend get away trip. Staff was courteous and helpful. I appreciated the fact that our request for a shower chair was taken care of in advance. Many times we have gone to hotels where they ignore the request and then are scrambling to take care of them when we arrive. My husband has a prosthetic leg so a shower chair is a necessity. Will definitely stay here again.

The lovely lady that checked us in was prompt and friendly. This is an older hotel that could use a revamp however the staff in the hotel are friendly so it’s a much nicer vibe than a new hotel with jerks at the front desk!

I have stayed here before and have had better customer service and better rooms . The room I stayed in looked old and run down needs a lot of updating . The girls at the desk not the friendliest ! Overall , not happy with this stay or service , could have been better !

It was ok . Tv you could not hear and the volume was locked. Waited a while for someone to come to the desk to check us in.

This hotel has become our go-to when we come to Detroit from the Upper Peninsula. The staff is fantastic, extremely helpful. The pool is nice. The complimentary breakfast is hearty & there are many choices.

Staff are very friendly and that drivers/ technician from the shuttle bus were very helpful. We also loved the buffet breakfast that was served. All in all guest service are top notch.

Decent enough property. Not much to do in walking distance. Cleaning staff were very loud. Desk & restaurant staff did not smile once. Were charged an early check-in fee even though the hotel was pretty much empty and the room was ready. Decided to bite the bullet and pay, figured we could use the time to have lunch at their restaurant or go for a swim. After checking in, was told restaurant was closed for lunch and the pool is closed 11-1 daily for cleaning. 🙃 Why they can't clean it early AM or late PM I have no clue. Just a typical cash grab like everyone else these days. Would not recommend.

Very easy and convenient. Right off of freeway. Down the street from the Henry Ford. 15 minutes Detroit. 10 minutes to the airport. Hotel was clean, beds were comfortable. Great free breakfast buffet with sausage, pancakes, eggs, and good coffee.

the hotel was close to the highway, but that was o.k. and not too noisy. We love to be very close to the new shopping chenter and the available restaurants. the Henry Ford Museum (it's a 'need to see' was very close and we enjoy it !

Although this is an older Best Western property, the owners take excellent care of it. The staff at the checkin desk are friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful. It’s right at an I-94 exit and conveniently close to The Henry Ford Museum. And the price is very nice. This is now our favorite place to stay in the Allen Park/Dearborn area.

Good location for a Detroit weekend stay. I'll be back

This property is right off the Interstate and quite easily seen as it is painted pink. This hotel is in a great location if you are planning to go to the Henry Ford Museum 2 miles away. The hotel gave me a brochure about a promotion involving staying two nights and seeing the museum, but I had already purchased everything. There is a restaurant on site which was nice. The hotel was decorated with pictures of old vehicles. There was an enclosed outside area with gazebos and gardens, even one pool with fish. You could actually swim in the pool, and there was a hot tub. There is not much of interest immediately around the hotel, but you can get to other dining options and some shopping about a mile away.

Very close to freeway, airport and greenfield village.

Convenient, friendly and clean. All you want in a hotel stay. Right off expressway so quick to get to where you want to go.

Convenient to The Henry Ford Museum and airport.

VERY convenient access to highway, but also noisy because of highway. GREAT breakfast options for freebies. We stay here for every Lions Game

The location is very convenient, just off #94. Ten minutes to Henry Ford complex. Shower was strong, breakfast was good, available in the attached restaurant so nice setting and convenient. We would stay there again.

The hotel was nice. We enjoyed the hot tub. There was a lot of kids which was loud at the pool and heard them running around late last night. Location to downtown detroit was good. The breakfast was just ok. We went to the connected resturant for dinner one night and the service there was slow even though it wasnt busy. We ordered breadsticks but they didnt come til way after we were done with our pizza. The front desk staff was friendly. I might stay here again but prob wouldnt bother with the resturant.

I stay here often. They now charge for breakfast, which is fine, but the cost is very high. Just change it over to a menu. Very odd it’s such a high cost for the type of hotel it is. But I do appreciate the free coffee. The rooms could use some updating.

The property was comfortable and did the job but is a bit dated in style and restaurant bar closed too early 10pm, probably staff issues. The woman bartending and serving did a great job waiting on us and the others that were in the restaurant until 10. The food was very good, and portions were large. The fish and chips were great. The side salad also very fresh, large and homemade dressing, she stated the croutons were made on site that day. It really is a hidden gem that could be way busier than it was for a weekend. Pool area was a bit chilly, if you weren't in the water, it was chilly. Seems kind of stand-alone without any other businesses around it but found many options 2-3 minute drive away but too far to walk over to. Our check-in was extremely fast and friendly. Better than expected breakfast options, but a sign at the front desk we didn't see ending buffet an hour earlier than the room information led us to being too late on our first day. Shower was hot and had great pressure. TV had enough channels to watch, however the digital channel guide was clumsy to navigate. I liked the nightstand USB/AC plugs with easy accessibility - A must have at any hotel these days, however many still don't, and you have to unplug something to find adequate charging capability.

Really liked the Bar and Restaurant. Everything else was great.

This property is super conveniently located for Greenfield Village and all the Henry Ford experiences. The rooms are modern, at least the one we had, and very clean. Staff were helpful. The pool area was nice and not crowded when we were there (spring/weekdays). Downsides were front desk did not consistently have an attendant and no bell or anything like that and dining. Breakfast was confusing to book, the buffet and the offerings were similar or less that are free in other hotels. You are not allowed to take to go plates to your room from the buffet (which you pay for the ticket) for children who are not up before it closes. The dinner menu is fine unless you arrive later in the evening or when short staffed then you have only a limited bar menu. The bar staff were great, really all staff were helpful... it's just the unknown about the dining... .none of these things were clear so double check if you are planning to eat breakfast or off-peak dinner.

Mugsy’s resturant was very good for both dinner and the buffet breakfast. Bed was very comfortable as well.

The breakfast cost additional $5 per person and was poor overall. A typical motel buffet breakfast, nothing special and food was average at best.
