Like most all inclusives, you need to make reservations at all the good restaurants and the staff always tells you they are completely booked out. Then you finally get one and the restaurant is basically empty. I asked about this to the "premium" concierge and they told me that the reservations are for only 50% capacity. When you try to just walk in and get a table without a reservation, they tell you they can't accommodate you. It's obvious they want people to resort to eating at the buffet, which was decent, not nothing to brag about. Also, this place is massive so be prepared to walk a ton to get around. All the good activities (go karts, bowling, rock wall, arcade, surfing, jet ski, slides) cost atleast $20-40 USD extra per person. The kids water playground closes at 6pm every night, which was disappointing and the main pools also close before it gets dark so there isn't much to do in the evening. We visited in July and the main pools water was warm so not that refreshing. The beaches were also filled with that sargassum and you had to walk past 3 ft piles to even get into the beach, which was super rocky. I've seen some resorts do a much better job with daily shoveling and removal of the sargassum, but barcelo just left it there to stink up the coastline.

The property was spotless. Staff were nice. Just noted that no one reallly showed interest in helping or making suggestions. The buffet food is typical for all inclusive that I have visited before. Not really tasty. But lots of options. I wound up eating a lot of Sanwiches. The restaurants were yummy but you need to make reservations

My family loved this place. We love food trying different places in general. So at first I was worried because the food at Barcelo Karmina at Manzanillo Colima is not good. So coming here knowing that is the same brand we were worried about the food. But when we tried it everything was so delicious. We loved the food. Staff were very nice to us they were always with a smile and very respectful. The pools were very clean and events were very entertaining. Good drinks ask for the bar tender's special drink they have good ones. The room was clean, just one thing they just need to remember to pick up the trash. Overall this place is amazing because if you stay in this specific hotel you can go to visit to the other 5 more hotels that they have all together and use their pools, buffets, events and amenities. There is a lot of things to do in this hotel. Just remember to book the restaurants as soon as you check in.

Very nice. Super large resort. Plan to do a lot of walking. Signage is poor, we lost our way several times before we got use to where things were.
