The room was clean. I enjoyed the minifridge and daily coffee. It would have been good if drinking water was provided. We were given a sheet with instructions which stated that one could find drinking water on floors 3 and 5. However, there one could only find water to buy from amachine and ice. In addition, there was a water dispenser in the fitness room in the basement, however, on one of the days it had no water. An expensive hotel should be more welcoming by at least providing water as many others do. There was a restaurant area which was not functioning. I am also not happy by the receptio atarrival. They chargedme a deposit of 100 dollars per day without informing me about it. I had to ask why the amount charged was so much higher that whay I had booked and then they explained. They should tell you those financial details at check in. Further, only one lift out of 2 was working which meant very long wait times each time. The toilet often would not stop running water, do that I had to lift the the cover and fix it several tumes. The room as a whole was run down. In summary, this 300+ dollars per night room was not better than a motel room without breakfast. I guess we pay for the location. Next time in New York I will opt to stay away from Manhattan and take the metro. It is easy to use.

It was a great location right next to a subway stop. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. Our room was not done when we got back at around 3-4:00 for a break. Maid staff did ask if we wanted our room made up, but we were relaxing, so we just got towels. They need more staff if they can’t get rooms done by 3:00!
