Yellow water workers that don’t listen rude guests nasty pool damaged rooms

This hotel needs some repairs; the elevator smells like burnt engine oil and wobbles a lot giving you the impression that it’s going to fall, but the staff really needs to be more friendly and courteous.

Carpets in room were dirty. There were crushed up mints or pills in several areas around the beds. The desk lamp and/or outlet wasn’t working. Burnt out lightbulbs in the room and bathroom made the space feel very dark. TV remote has issues. Sometimes there would be static noise from the TV as well which was frustrating. Parking easy. Staff friendly.

The tv and refrigerator were not working as a surge protector was turned off. Fridge leaking water and wax warm. Wires on floor by AC with exposed connections on the floor with no safety precautions.

The place is very close to the highway which makes it convenient to get off but the property resembles lots of wear and tear. No water bottles provided. Towels were limited. For the price ($110), this wasn’t worthy

Swimming pool dirty, carpet dirty, didn’t receive clean towels one day.

Water at this place comes out of a well. It is a medium brown at best… sand stacked in bottom of bathtub. And the a/c in our room took 3 hours to drop temp 3 degrees.

Comfortable beds, nice breakfast with plenty of choices including sausage & eggs, waffles. Parking lot was well-lit. "Side door" was actually in back of building that was a little awkward to use.

Breakfast was well below what we normally expect. Swimming pool was green and unusable.

The lobby and breakfast area had a nice feel and were nicely decorated for the holidays. Staff were very friendly and helpful - seemed like good people working there. Fitness room and equipment were pretty tired.

There were cockroaches in our room. Not somewhere I would stay again.

really loved the people working however found many bugs in the room and french fries were on the floor next to the bed

The room was full of termite everywhere including on the beds. Spoke to the front desk and showed me another room but it was worse.

Room was horrible, stained tub, and place had a mildew smell

Noisy and the bathroom shower wall had a lil bit of mold and shower mat was dirty

Room smelled musty and moldy. A/C unit was not working properly.

I should have spent the extra 20 and stayed anywhere else. I’m truly surprised they put us in a room where it was completely moldy and visibly moldy. When on my reservation I have an infant we all woke up with headaches feeling very sick the whole next day. but nowhere else to go we drove for 12 hours and we’re so exhausted the walls are so thin we heard our next-door neighbor all night long. We honestly didnt feel safe in this hotel either, the Vibe and feeling I got in that hotel was not good. The breakfast was very limited. I did not even grab a coffee or any fruit.I ate nothing there. I just wanted to get out of there and never return. I tried reaching out to the hotel, but they never responded to me. I have pictures of mold on their window treatments that are above the AC unit that’s been blowing into the room. When I checked out, nobody was at the desk. I’ve been trying to reach out through Expedia to at the very minimum to Let them know to remove that window treatment and other obvious signs of mold so other people won’t get sick and the only reason I’m leaving this review is because I’m not getting a response from anyone there, and they need to be made aware of how unhealthy and unsafe at least the room I was in so other people don’t get sick.

The hotel was clean and staff friendly and accommodating. The only complaint is our room was very well lit! The parking lot was right outside our window and the lights were shining through the curtains. There were holes in the blackout curtains and they didn’t extend all the way to the ac. Light came through under the curtains. Also, it was a little bit noisy with the traffic being so close to the interstate. The bathroom lighting wasn’t so great either. We were passing through on our way home from Florida and it was great for what we needed. Breakfast was good too!

The area felt safe and the hotel was clean with friendly staff. We were very comfortable as a family with small kids. The room itself was pretty dated with a semi broken (it was really just screwed) toilet seat, but that was the “worst” part. Everything else was wonderful and they had really good protein breakfast options!

Very clean, convenient and quiet. Didn’t have cable, only Roku.

Hotel needs renovating.....repairs to rooms are in progress while you are there. Wifi doesnt work, hotel smells awful. One morning there was nothing got in the breakfast are or fruit...not even a banana. Skip this hotel. Stay in Hammond or Mobile

First, the hotel is approximately 30 ft from 2 lanes of I12, so lots of road noise. The room thermostat was set at 68, I called the front desk asking for instructions on changing it. The clerk first told me to use controls on unit beneath the window. I explained that the controls were on the wall, per sign on window unit. She then told me to just unplug the unit, there is no plug. After again asking for instructions she informed me that they didn’t have a maintenance man that week, but she would see if another room was available and she would call me right back. I suggested that if I couldn’t control the temp the problem wouldn’t be solved. She never called back

While I have stayed in worse, I was far from impressed with this hotel. Several items needed fixing or better maintenance. The bed actually squeaked, which I haven’t experienced in decades, so I guess the box spring had literal steel springs inside. Though the bed looked modern on the outside and was comfortable enough, we weren’t still awakened every time we moved by the squeaking. The rod on the blackout curtain had come off of one side, so it was hard to close them properly for privacy; we had to prop up the rod (which was left on top of the air conditioner) lot finally keep the curtains closed. The bathtub faucet felt like it was going to come off in our hands whenever we touched it, and the only way to handle the high humidity in the room was to keep the air conditioner at 70 degrees. We were only issued one key and had to sign that we pay $5 if we failed to return it. The breakfast of sausage and eggs ran out of sausage by 7:30 am. I asked for a printed receipt and wasn’t given one. Basically, they need to invest in a good remodel if they continue to charge the prices they do. I don’t think they deserve the Excellent rating they have and they charge at a rate as if they do.

Wi-Fi did not work in the room had to move to a different room Other then that it was fine

The staff at check in was very friendly and the room is very large and comfortable.

Hotel is right on the Interstate and very noisy.

The matress was so lumpy, when I rolled over on my side I honestly felt there was something under my hip and ribs, like a rolled up towel it was so bad. The hotel is definitely dated, but it wasn't super expensive

Received a very warm welcome from Dodie! We had a couple of needs and she was right there to take care of them. Clean room, good bed, good breakfast. I would stay there again... Joy

This property is the most amazing of all the hotels we've stayed at and Slidell and we stayed out a lot of them. Staff is so kind and courteous and understanding unlike other places.

Great Staff

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We arrived in the night, and the front desk staff was very helpful during the check in process. The room was great, and the staff at check out was fun! We'll be making this our choice property from now on when we are in town.

The front desk staff was outstanding. Angeline (I believe this was her name) was fast, cheerful and extremely helpful. She helped us on check-in, then was johnny on the spot to solve an issue with our TV and even found a cell phone charger for us to use (no USB charging ports in room). The hotel could use some updating. The vanity in our bathroom was damaged, lamp shades torn, etc., but I believe they are in process of updating. All in all, the staff is what made the difference.

Great value for the money. A little dated, but clean and conveniently located.

The property is in an excellent location, close to the freeway My only problem is that I reserved a non-smoking king size bed room and was given a double queen size bed sroom.

The hotel had easy access off the interstate, but was also nicely situated that you didn’t feel it was that close - or noisy. The rooms were very nice, the continental breakfast was decent. My only issue (not just with this hotel) is that the front office won’t match an online price. You have to sit there, log onto a computer, go to the booking website, book the hotel and then wait for the reservation to show up on the hotels system. WHY?

good location for food and shopping

Place is well kept. Nice and bright. Good for an overnight stay. Also quiet and safe. Restaurants and stores are only less than a mile away.

Property was right off the interstate but quiet and convenient for a quick overnight stay.

Front desk clerk was OK but not overly friendly. The breakfast was good but the selection was limited.

We had two rooms. In one room the microwave came on by itself and had to be unplugged to stop it. In the other room the tub was badly stained and the tv would not work. I kept getting a message to login, but every time I tried I got an error message about there not being a server. There were no USB ports anywhere in my room so I was unable to charge my devices. We got to the breakfast area at 8:30 the next morning - there were no eggs, no bacon/sausage, etc. The person in charge of breakfast said they were being cooked. It was about 10 minutes before she brought them out of the kitchen. We had already had the Saran-wrapped sausage biscuits and some cereal as we wanted to get on the road. If you are only looking for a place to sleep, this is it, but if you want some amenities look elsewhere.

Rooms smelled like weed and not very well kept. Continental breakfast poor.

I had reserved an accessible room, but did get that - it was super late when we arrived and I did not care to request a room swap. When we got into the room, it was frigid, the thermostat was set to 64, so we adjusted it and it took a little while for the temperature to raise to what we were comfortable with. The pillows were awkward squares, not your typical rectangular pillow, I guess they shove the stuffing in to make this neat little square pillow? It was interesting. The tub bottom had scratches and discoloration that looked like a red rusty color. We went for breakfast about 845am and when we got down there we were the only ones then more people started to show up but there was not enough waffle mix left to make any waffles, there were no bagels for the cream cheese supplied and no gravy for biscuits supplied, so I made an egg and sausage biscuit sandwich. The little interaction we had with the staff they were very polite and professional, overall the stay was fine, not great, but it was fine for the overnight trip needed on our road trip.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was served by 6 — even on the weekend, which allowed us to get an early start on a long travel day. It was hot and delicious with many choices. The location is convenient to the interstate.
