The hotel is in a nice quiet area except for when the bin lorry is emptying bins. The hotel is currently having air conditioning fitted which is needed as the rooms are very hot when the weather is warm. There are three very good restaurants at the end of the street which is very convenient. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and walkable into the city centre.

The private garden patio was a welcome and lovely spot to read a book, have a small picnic and listen to the many bird songs. Our room was very roomy and kept super clean. The air conditioning was just being inspected as we checked out, and even with the fan provided, the room was a bit stuffy. Not too far to the old town and a quiet district. Don’t have the breakfast - vegan only, just an fyi.

I was very comfortable staying at this adorable little hotel. The staff were amazing helpful and the most lovely people. Exceptionally clean, beds and pillows comfortable. Bonus- bathrobe in the room! Handy fridge in common area where one can buy sodas or beers, etc. I didn’t partake in the offered breakfast, so can’t comment on that. Great art on the walls throughout the hotel! Quiet area but walkable to all the main attractions.

This is why we went to Europe. The Bergland is a small family run hotel operated by a family with generations of hospitality exprience. Each room is unique, with furniture and art that reflects the history and pride of the Tyrol region. The owner’s contemporary paintings decorates the hallways and adds a modern counterpoint to the rooms. Hiltons and Marriotts have their place, but the Bergland is closer to a boutique bed and breakfast. The owners and staff are friendly and very helpful. Staff reached out before our arrival with tips on getting to the hotel and readily answered questions. The vegetarian Austrian style breakfast available was delicious and in the back a quiet shady terrace provides a place for an afternoon drink and snack after exploring Salzburg. We travel to see and experience people and cultures different than our own. This hotel provided a very comfortable, warm and unique experience we will always remember.

Bergland hotel was ideal for a stay of 4 nights. Friendly and helpful reception staff, every amenity in the room you could think of and it was clean. An easy 10 minute walk to the river. We stayed at the beginning of September when it was unseasonably warm and air conditioning would have been welcome although there was a large column fan in the room. Excellent shower with plenty hot water.

We booked two rooms for our family and they were both large, comfortable and modern. AC in each room and an elevator was nice. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Inge helped me immediately with notifying the correct parties pertaining to my lost passport. She went above and beyond in providing excellent customer service. We will stay at Bergland Hotel again in a heartbeat next time we’re in Salzburg.

Clean and accessible (elevator) small hotel. Rather old and outaded deco. Basic facilities (there is water kettle in the room). Very old windows and curtains, light and noiseight mght be an issue if you want some air. No breakfast, limited desk reception time, but communication was good and I got a key waiting for me in a box. Recommended with reservations.

Nothing terrible about this experience, but felt a little misled by the description of the hotel online. It is not a fully serviced hotel - The “bar” is a refrigerator you can register taking drinks out of, the art gallery is a small room next to the lobby without a hint of anything for sale or really any notable artworks, but rather an old piano and a robust stack of National Geographic magazines, and reception hours are very limited. The room itself is without A/C (appropriately noted in the description) but also a bit dated with a very small, sensitive shower. Not our best stay - perhaps appropriate for the price, but not reflective of initial reviews.

We enjoyed our stay in this quiet hotel away from all the crowds. Our room was very clean. The old town is about 15 min walk or 10 min by trolley. Trolleys were free and run every 10 min. We would stay here again.

Nice sized room for two guests, everything was spotless, and there was even turndown service after one night. Lovely staff. Location is great if you don’t want to be in high traffic tourist areas, but Less than 15 mins walk to the beginning of the pedestrian zone. Highly recommend!

샤워부스 배수가 안되 물이 넘치기 직전이였고 세면대 노즐 위치? 물이 사방으로 튀어 조절해서 물을 틀어야 했는데, 다음날 문의 했을때 배수구는 고쳐줬음 사전에 점검을 했으면 하는 아쉬움이 있네요, 그리고 비건조식이라 아침은...., 노년의 두분이 운영하는 가족같은 호텔이고, 친절하십니다.

The owners are really nice and helpful. Room is super spacious for solo backpacker. Everything is crazy clean. The shampoo and shower stuff isn’t working but I brought my own toiletries anyway. Love the curtains it blocks 95% of sunlight and gave 100% privacy. Also there’s only 2 rooms on my floor so it was really quiet, love that too! Location is around 20mins to the huge christmas market which is okay, felt safe even walking in the dark.

We were concerned about the size of the hotel but we were greeted by a friendly face & lots of information about transportation, breakfast options and restaurants close by. Our room was charming and pristine. We loved the painted wooden furniture and comfortable bed. We would have loved the option of a bathtub. The shops and Old Town…just a short walk from the hotel!

Lovely big room with comfortable bed and sofa, and very clean. Lovely bathroom - only negative was tap design / hand basin design meant water splashed everywhere even on very low pressure. The owners were delightful and extremely helpful. Would recommend.

Clean and acceptable, but not sure how they have such a high rating here. The bed was incredibly firm, one flat pillow per person, very few in-room amenities. If you are used to AC, this is not the place to stay. Also, do not lose your key card, as they will charge you at check-out (something that should be divulged at check-in, in my opinion).

Overall good stay, owner is friendly and always willing to help with anything. Facility was good but their pillows were really soft which caused neck pain for entire trip however they accommodate extra pillow but still not comfortable.

The room was very nice and spacious. It is in a very quiet part of town, and there is not much around if wanting a lively stay. However, everything is walkable and there is plenty to get to. The restaurant, Die Weisse, is about a block away and very convenient. The man at check-in seemed a little put off by us at the beginning of the interaction, but ended up warming up and was extremely friendly and welcoming! Note: do watch for a step in your bathroom--it is easy to forget if using in the middle of the night!

Wondering about high rating.!!!! No Staff after 8 pm till 7-8 am. All doors locked even to the deck. No service staff. Only receptionist till 8 pm. She was very nice ( Caroline). Room clean but not pleasant and comfortable to spend time in. at least the room I am staying at. Price high for what it offers.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly, offering us recommendations for sites to visit and dining options along with tips for navigating the city. The location was not only easy to drive to but was within walking distance of all the sites. Our room was larger than expected and very comfortable. We wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.

We greatly enjoyed our time in Salzburg staying at the Bergland Hotel. The room was very comfortable and staff was ready to help with any needs. The front desk was excellent helping us navigate the public transport, helping us know about things to do, security tips, etc. We would definitely repeat our stay there!

We booked two rooms for our family and they were both large, comfortable and modern. AC in each room and an elevator was nice. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Inge helped me immediately with notifying the correct parties pertaining to my lost passport. She went above and beyond in providing excellent customer service. We will stay at Bergland Hotel again in a heartbeat next time we’re in Salzburg.

The owners provide exceptional service, especially Inga. Be sure to get her list of restaurant recommendations-- all places where the locals eat and get the best food. Also, you can pick up the Salzburg card at the front desk; it's a very good value and gets you on to the local buses. Bergland Hotel is located just outside the old town, a 10-minute walk. Once we got the hang of it, it was easy to get there. In short, Bergland Hotel was probably the best hotel pick overall for our European adventure.

very nice property. my only complaint is that there is not 24 hour front desk service. We had to leave at 7 am to catch a train and there was no one to check us out. Maybe a sign that guests need to check out the night before fir early departures

The hotel is in a nice quiet area except for when the bin lorry is emptying bins. The hotel is currently having air conditioning fitted which is needed as the rooms are very hot when the weather is warm. There are three very good restaurants at the end of the street which is very convenient. It is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and walkable into the city centre.

The owners are extremely kind and helpful. The room vibe is warm and homey. You don’t feel like you’re in a hotel at all. The terrace is so cute and very relaxing. although it’s not in the alstadt, everything is an easy 10-15 min walk away. Plus there are some lovely and reasonably priced restaurants and beer gardens within a 5 min walk from the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay in this quiet hotel away from all the crowds. Our room was very clean. The old town is about 15 min walk or 10 min by trolley. Trolleys were free and run every 10 min. We would stay here again.

The hotel owners were gracious and very helpful with tips for the city. Because we were taking the train, I found the location convenient and quiet. The bed was perfect and the room was well appointed. I would highly recommend the Berglandhotel!

Nice sized room for two guests, everything was spotless, and there was even turndown service after one night. Lovely staff. Location is great if you don’t want to be in high traffic tourist areas, but Less than 15 mins walk to the beginning of the pedestrian zone. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay finding the hotel very clean and in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The walk to town was a little long, about 20 minutes, in hindsight I would have preferred something closer. The hotel itself was a little dated, could use better lighting in the bathroom and some upgrades to the shower. The breakfast was very basic and vegan, fyi.

The private garden patio was a welcome and lovely spot to read a book, have a small picnic and listen to the many bird songs. Our room was very roomy and kept super clean. The air conditioning was just being inspected as we checked out, and even with the fan provided, the room was a bit stuffy. Not too far to the old town and a quiet district. Don’t have the breakfast - vegan only, just an fyi.

Amazing property! Service was incredible, everyone was friendly, and very helpful. Bteakfast was perfectly delcious. Location was perfect, its away from all the crazy busy tourist and minutes away from delcious food and beer. I would definitely stay here again. Rooms were cute and cozy, that shower needs to be in my house!

This hotel is a little beauty, a family run place with a homely feel to it. The people running it were very good and the breakfast was also excellent with a good variety of things to choose from. The hotel is a very easy 10 minute walk into the centre of the city and a similar distance to the main train station. There was only one small problem that being that the shower floor was a little bit slippery but this could be easily fixed with a shower mat. We just put a hand towel down to fix this problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Wir haben im Rahmen des Salzburg Trail Festivals 2 Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht und waren sehr zufrieden. Das Zimmer war geräumig und teilweise mit sehr schönen Details ausgestattet. Vor allem im Badezimmer hatten wir ein harmonisches Ambiente. Das vegetarische Frühstück (das trotz anderweitiger Beschreibung auch am Wochenende angeboten wurde) war reichhaltig und ist sehr zu empfehlen. Lediglich der defekte Radio und fehlende Glühlampen sollten mal ersetzt werden.

Nice well equipped room everything you needed , useful drinks fridge on landing area .Breakfast was great ,with a good selection of fresh produce to set you up for the day. Although the temperature outside was in the 30s the room was comfortable. Really helpful staff and recommended for a a trip to Saltzburg with good bus links only a short walk from the hotel to the surrounding areas. Must mention two local brewerys up the road too.

the property is very small and private the checking close at 8 pm and then there is no want to talk to even if you need something like another blanket or pillow there is no one to talk to. the room is a bit old dated overall not a 4 stars hotel.

Berglandhotel was an extremely positive surprise. Great, quiet neighborhood (Schallmoos) a pleasant ten minute walk to the river. Excellent check-in with an extremely useful two pages of places for food and coffee. Room excellent and well appointed, large, crown molding etc. spacious bathroom; felt like a guest in a nice home. Friendly greetings from the woman who may have been an owner as we went in and out. All top notch … except though as we left. We turned in the keys and thanked the older gentleman at the desk (owner?) and right away with little provocation he challenged us for intentionally not paying. Because we booked through a 3rd party we didn’t know and couldn’t remember whether our card had been taken at check in. In any case there was a different way he could have handled it and his belligerence took a little shine off our exit as it did for the lady behind us also confused about the departure protocol. In any case all up it was a great stay … just be wary about making sure you pay just once, and when.
