We stayed in 2 rooms that are next door as a family on level 6 (top). It's a tiny clean and white washed hotel. Every thing feels a bit squashed and tucked away... the TV at a strange angle on the counter, little table space.. but it is all clean and all good. The internet in 604 was in and out and there were a few little things missing to make it better.. the aircon is fixed at 20° so if that's too cold you have to sweat it out and turn it off. The steam iron didn't work, earbuds and conditioner missing.. only just the little things. Only the ladies at the reception were great.. the man at night was rude. The breakfast is simple and fine but the crossaints delicious. The location is good.. about 5 min walk from 2 metros Oberkampf and Republique. Great neighbourhood with bars and boulangeries. I would rate this a 3 star hotel, it was good but i wouldn't return it recommend it for the price we paid mid July.

Vi forstår ikke de 4 stjerner på dette hotel. Vi har meget erfaring da vi rejser meget. Servicen da vi kom var virkelig god. De hjalp os med parkering. Men værelset ligner en kabine. Meget småt og trængt. Slidte håndklæder ingen plads til opbevaring Elevator virker ikke de 3 dage vi er der. Der er slet ikke noget i morgenbuffet der ordentligt på køl. Meget trængt og få pladser ved morgenmaden. Hotellet ligger ikke særlig godt. Vi vil sige 3 stjerner med pil ned af.

Fint rum men lite konstig planlösning. Dush, badkar och handfat är bakom en glasvägg och toalett i ett separat litet utrymme med skjutdörr. Väldigt avlång entre och längst ned är sovrummet som är ganska trångt. Valde ett premium rum men till vår besvikelse är det enda fönstret ut mot de andra husen och en mycket "ful yta". Hade trott att premium också skulle ha en trevlig utsikt. Lägg inte pengar på detta rum om ni inte är ok med noll utsikt (gör att det blir mörkt i rummet). Trång hiss men det är det på många hotell i Paris. Bra läge nära 2 tunnelbanestationer. Trist frukost som enkelt skulle kunna göras mycket bättre. Endast rostat bröd och mycket tråkiga småfrallor som inte smakar något. Äggröran var varje dag lika torr och trist samt utan smak. Tråkigt när frukosten enkelt skulle kunna göras bättre med enkla medel. Få bord i frukostmatsalen och trångt där man hämtar frukosten runt en bardisk. Trevlig personal dagtid, mycket butter herre på kvällarna. Bra restauranger och cafeer runt omkring.

Pros: I liked the decor of the hotel. It felt like old Paris. The rooms were clean and more spacious than others in the city at that price point. The staff during the day were very helpful and pleasant. I had a bathroom that had a tub that was luxurious(worth upgrading to). Cons: The man who was at the desk in the evening was brusk, irritable and impatient. The doors to the rooms were very heavy(metal fire doors)and difficult to open with the key. Parking was challenging.

Everything was great . The only thing I would change would be to be able to have the coffee machine in the lobby at night available for free for your guests and offer a water bottle in the room for your guests free of charge . Larger bath towels would be great . Everyday I had one big and one small, never 2 big bath towels . Breakfast was amazing ! Lobby was super clean . Beds and bathroom were also very clean . Thank you for a great stay in Paris ! Would recommend your hotel to friends ! Merci

This is a lovely hotel in a great area of Paris for jumping on and off the metro to explore the city with some great restaurants and bakery’s nearby. The hotel room we stayed in was excellent with a huge and comfortable bed and the balcony was an extra bonus on an evening. The only downside of our room was the shower. We had no hook on the wall for the shower head meaning we had to handhold the head to wash ourselves, sending water everywhere and making it a challenge to shower quickly. The hotel lift is tiny (as is often the case with old Paris Hotels) so not suitable for people who are claustrophobic and can’t take the stairs. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and allowed us to leave our cases on leaving day as our train wasn’t until the afternoon. We would definitely stay here again, hopefully in a room with a proper shower!

Hôtel annoncé 4 étoiles, mais l’expérience est très loin du standing attendu. Honnêtement, je ne comprends pas comment l’établissement peut être aussi bien noté. À l’arrivée, l’accueil a été très décevant : aucune indication claire pour accéder à la chambre, alors que l’hôtel se situe de l’autre côté de la rue et nécessite un code pour entrer. Le pire reste la salle de bain. La douche était dans un état inacceptable : moisissures visibles sur les parois, taches dans le fond du bac (photos à l’appui). Pour un 4 étoiles — et même pour un 2 étoiles — c’est totalement inacceptable en matière d’hygiène. Très grosse déception au vu du classement et des avis.

We have stayed at this hotel every year for the last five or six years. It's a great location, between two major Metro stops, there are a lot of great places to eat and the hotel itself, is very quiet. They have been renovating the rooms, so it was a treat for us to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms. We know so many of the people who work there, and it is always a treat to return because it feels like our home away from home. The rooms are comfortable, clean, breakfast is great, with a good selection of food, pastries, fruit, etc. But most importantly it's about the staff. They are extremely helpful, kind, generous with the time, and always willing to go beyond to assist with whatever is needed. Four of our friends stayed at the hotel with us and they enjoyed their stay as well. We will return next year for sure. It's always so nice to see so many familiar faces.

I was disappointed that the receptionist at the hotel collected 15€ just for calling in the taxi for me. The Taxi cost me 60 € instead of 40 €. Uber would have been 30€. The receptionist said it would the same, “they are all the same”.

The service here really was wonderful. They accommodated my early check in (11am), had an excellent breakfast each morning and there was a bottle of wine waiting for me since I booked with Expedia. The hotel and rooms were also spotless! Very well kept property. Lots of restaurants and pharmacy within walking distance, as well as trains/buses to all the great attractions. I was in room 101, which was on the first floor near the elevator, it was extremely noisy. The bed was also as hard as a brick. I barely slept due to the uncomfortable bed and noise. Also, my view was of a brick wall so that was dissappointing. Wouldn't stay here again, because I do like my sleep. But if you don't mind a firm bed and are fine with it potentially being noisy, this really is a great hotel option!

Kamers erg klein voor twee personen. Geen voldoende ruimte om je koffers neer te zetten. Gedateerde inrichting kamers. Kamer deuren sluiten zeer slecht! Good location in the buzzing Marais area. Tons of shops and cafés nearby. Lovely to walk everywhere. Metro very close by too. We he the premier room which was large by Paris standards. Room had all mod cons. Breakfast was adequate. Breads, eggs etc. Some fruit apart from banana would be nice. Staff were efficient not particularly friendly. There’s a supermarket just around the corner.

We booked the Prestige Room after seeing enticing photos on Expedia that clearly showed a private balcony—one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered that our room had no balcony, despite what was advertised. After raising the issue with the front desk, we were offered a smaller room that did include a balcony, but it was a downgrade in size and amenities. To make matters worse, there was a room that matched the original description, but its door was broken and deemed unusable. We were left with no choice but to accept the smaller room. Throughout this frustrating experience, no compensation was offered for the downgrade or the inconvenience. I would caution future guests to double-check room details and not rely solely on the photos provided online.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. As an American visiting Paris for the first time, I found the staff to be patient with my very limited ability to speak French as well as friendly. The Continental breakfast was lovely and the location is excellent. It is close to the metro and to the bus. There are many dining options as well. I’d definitely stay again!

We loved the proximity to a major metro station. The square nearby has lots of food options, and you could either walk or take the metro to a lot of major attractions. Breakfast being provided was very helpful, and our room was very nice. The front desk staff are also very helpful! We needed an adapter after my wife fried ours, and they provided one, and we also accidentally bought a cold meal, and the man at the desk at night was kind enough to heat it up for us in the kitchen. It was a great stay.

My room is beautiful, the staff are helpful. Only issue is they double charged me for the city tax. I paid cash at checkout, but when I check my credit card statement later, there was another charge for the tax and 2 coffees which I thought came with the room. I emailed the hotel. They gave me the breakdown right away but when I brought up the double charge, they stopped responding.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à l'hôtel Gabriel! L'hôtel est à quelques minutes de marche de plusieurs stations de métro, donc il est hyper facile de se promener à travers la ville. L'hôtel est à 3 minutes de marche de la place République: restaurants, boutiques, cafés, boulangeries... un plaisir!

Very cosy, clean and stylish room. Quiet even if in a lively neighborhood. Room with a lovely balcony. The breakfast is a bit small, but tastes good. They could add more fruits & fresh vegetables for a even more lovely experience. We had a really great stay and will definitely recommend this hotel. The location is perfect with nice bars and cafes, perfect for a romantic weekend.

Herman is an exceptional employee with the rest of the other staff. Herman helped us talk to other front desk employees so we can get checked in early. We arrived in Paris at 6 am and got to the hotel by 9 am. Herman helped us to get an early accommodation by advocating for us. The hotel service too that was provided for us was exceptional too! We get daily room clean up and change of towels; breakfast food was amazing, and the proximity to metro station was the selling point for us. The convenience of having 2-4 metro stations nearby to the hotel allowed us to go to places at anytime.

Hotel gabriel was so cute! Me and my boyfriend loved the decor, the breakfast, and the general location. So many shops around us, close to many bistros, and close to the metro. I would recommend anyone to stay here, especially if you are planning to use public transportation. The uber could be kind of expensive and a bit far from the eiffel tower, the louvre, and the arc. However, taking the metro was an amazing option. Many times the train was much faster than the ubers. 10/10

This is a small hotel with classic charm in a great location for walking or the metro. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They all spoke English, which was a bonus. On the corner there is an amazing patisserie. There is an adequate complimentary breakfast at the hotel but skip it for the neighborhood spots.

Enjoyed this boutique hotel! So much character and charm. Located on quiet street, rooms are good size with lots of outlets to charge electronics. The bathroom was beautiful and large. There is a lift. Breakfast offered nice variety from pastries to meats and cheeses. Coffee machine made everything from cappuccino to hot chocolate. Staff was super nice and accommodating.
