Lovely staff, very quick to respond to requests/concerns. Issue with the aircon turning off during the night and the room getting very hot - front desk said they are able to control if you let them know you’re having trouble. The room I was staying in was right next to the door which leads to the lift, and could hear every time someone lets the door slam, plus other doors on the same floor. Also able to hear other guests walking around their room as the floors are noisy. Room service appeared to have come from nearby restaurants but an extensive menu. The room is small but has everything you need. The bathroom is quite small, I imagine someone taller may have an issue with using the toilet/shower but I had an enjoyable stay. Lovely renovations. Close to Earls Court underground and plenty of restaurants close by.

Lovely area in Earls Court. Staff very nice. Only issue was there was no air conditioning and the window only opened a small bit so it was very hot and stuffy in the room.

Super close to the subway station so it's easy to get around. A lot of diing and store options close by too. The one thing I will note is that service at this place was eh... room service made the bed but that's about it. Never took any trash from the room or changed the sheets. It's also not fully staffed all the time so you need to ask reception if you want a drink from the bar. Really boutique style hotel...

Liked the area, friendly staff, very close to Earls Court tube, about 1.3 miles walk (or short Tube journey) to the Albert Hall, Natural History museum and Victoria and Albert Museum. Close to the Troubadour a famous folk venue visited by many musicians from Dylan to Hendrix to Adele and Ed Sheeran. Very small lift. Just about fits 2 people.

Nice hotel and great location. Only problem we were in room LG22 which has an issue with tv signal so we had only a few very obscure channels to watch. Not really an issue as we were out and about most of the time anyway. Wifi was a bit hit and Miss too but would stay again

The rooms are small but all you need for a place to sleep. It was clean and nice enough for a place to spend the night. The location is awesome. But the air conditioning in the room had an error code every few hours - so sleeping at night the room got boiling hot and with 2 people in tiny room was a bit rough.

Asked for an early check in and got no reply. Room wasn’t ready at normal check in time. No air con but a fan was provided. Power cut through the night so no electric or water the day after with no options to get washed other than an estimated time that was past check out. No sorry on check out either. Never stayed here and never will again.

What makes this hotel exceptional is the staff. Everyone I encountered, from check-in to check-out, were accommodating, helpful, and friendly. In addition, knowing that there was a 24/7 reception and even a 24/7 bar made me feel very comfortable and cared-for. The location is quite good. It was a five-minute walk up the street to the Earl's Court tube station and from there, I could get everyone. It was really pleasant not to have to stay in the hustle and bustle of Central London and still be within easy distance. Overall, very, very pleased with this hotel and my stay.

Mixed Experience in a Promising Hotel We stayed in a suite with a small balcony, which was beautifully designed and spacious — definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel is conveniently located and easy to reach, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. That said, there were some issues that affected our experience. The bathroom, while modern, lacked sufficient hooks or shelves — making it difficult to hang towels or find space for toiletries. Breakfast was solid, though nothing exceptional, and during peak hours there were often queues to get into the breakfast area. The most disappointing aspect, however, was the cleanliness. When we arrived, we found clipped toenails or fingernails on the floor — clearly left by a previous guest. Despite requesting cleaning every morning and evening, the issue wasn’t addressed until the third evening. Only after a particularly proactive staff member at the front desk took matters into her own hands was the room finally cleaned. Her initiative was much appreciated, especially after previous staff had only entered notes into the system without follow-up. To the hotel's credit, we were offered complimentary drinks each day until the room was cleaned, which was a nice gesture. In summary, the hotel has potential and some strong points, but the lack of responsiveness in housekeeping was a serious letdown.

Fantastic hotel. My husband and I have just returned from a four night stay here and cannot fault it. The hotel is immaculate, the bed in the room was so comfortable, we had some of the best nights sleep ever , we had also been allocated a room at the front with a small balcony which was a real unexpected bonus. Breakfast was included in the price and was amazing , so much choice and served by friendly , attentive staff. The reception area was also always staffed and again by welcoming , friendly staff members. The hotel is literally minutes from Earls Court underground station and there is everything you could need in the immediate vicinity which is safe and quiet. I cannot praise this hotel highly enough and still cannot believe that for the price we paid we were able to obtain this standard of accommodation and service from the Mornington Kensington. If you are lucky enough to find availability here then do not hesitate to book, you really couldn't ask for more , it's a absolutely brilliant hotel in which to spend your city break.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room is aesthetically pleasing and the bed was very comfortable. Room is small, but to be expected for London. Location is fantastic (less than 5min walk to train station, and an M&S just down the road to buy snacks/drinks, as well as multiple dining options on the main road). We stayed 5 nights, the only let down was the bathroom cleaning- on check-in there was a cleaning issue with the first room so we were moved to another room (which was fine). It seems that they had daily issues with supplying enough clean floor mats/hand towels- we had to ask a couple of times for new mats because housekeeping staff refolded our used wet mats, and hung up used towels that we'd placed on the floor to indicate we'd like a towel change. They didn't appear to wipe down the sink area daily either. The bathroom is actually quite spacious, but lacks enough hooks to hang towels and clothing, and their tiny sink was difficult to brush our teeth or wash our faces in without splashing water all over the floor and our feet. If only they'd installed a full sized sink... it would have been more comfortable.

I've stayed at this hotel several times. The rooms are very small, as is typical for London. This time I got a room in the basement – terrible. It smells damp and musty despite the renovations. The location is great.

When we were checking in, we were told 'bad news - your room is not available'. They suggested to give us money back, with no concern where we could go after that. Then they did accommodate us in two single rooms - note I was travelling with a child under 16 - in a different parts of the hotel, not even close to each other. The rooms were in the basement, and they had very bad moldy smell about them, even open windows could not resolve the problem. We were offered free breakfast; however, I must admit the breakfast was exceptionally basic, continental, and I was glad that I did not have to pay for it £15 each. I definitely would not recommend to stay in this hotel. Or at least have some kind of alternative in mind when booking it, in case they tell you on arrival that you do not have a room.

Perfect location and delightful staff. The places to eat nearby ranged from the basic Burger King to a wonderful place 4 minutes the name of which i cant remember. Downside is the bathroom is very small. I am 5 feet 4 inches and thevshower was tight and the sink was nearly useless. The bathroom is why the hotel is not a 5+ star rating.

Our group had 2 rooms: a queen suite and a twin room. The queen suite was beautiful, in excellent condition and well worth the extra I paid. The small twin room next door may have been roughed up by children, but it could use fresh paint. I would return!

The hotel is beautiful. We had a lower ground floor with a very restricted view, the room was tiny and the bath even tinier! Nowhere to hang towels. Very tiny.

Hotel is beautifully decorated and beds comfortable however the room was very noisy - issues with a faulty aircon unit to workmen making noise in the morning, plus all sorts of noise from plumbing in other rooms or might have been the kitchen of the hotel. We had a very poor nights sleep overall which is a shame as the hotel looks great visually and is in a convenient location.

I stayed in the queen suite with the little patio and it was outstanding! My daughter’s room was a twin and it was okay but tiny. If you can swing it, the queen suite is a big treat! All of the staff were wonderful! Very close to Earl’s Court tube station, a small grocery, Italian restaurant.

Room was not ready at Check in. Had to ask for soap, sink in bathroom so small you make a mess doing anything, washing your face nearly impossible. Not the hotel’s fault, but had no power for one night. Excellent location though.

I recently had the displeasure of staying at the Mornington London Kensington, BW Premier Collection, and I cannot emphasize enough how disappointing this experience was. While the hotel has a good location, it was overshadowed by a slew of issues that made my stay far from enjoyable. First and foremost, the staff at this hotel left much to be desired. From the moment I arrived, they were consistently rude and unhelpful. It felt like I was an inconvenience to them rather than a paying guest. I spent two nights at the Mornington Kensington this week. Firstly, it’s an ideal location with excellent public transport links close by to explore the local tourist hotspots. Based on my observations not only do I consider it to be the smartest building on Penywern Road I also consider it to be worthy of 5-stars all-round. My room was clean and tidy, the bed was very comfortable, and the heating control system on the wall meant I was able to very easily adjust the temperature to my preference. The bathroom was very modern, functional and toiletries from one of my favourite brands were provided as a courtesy. I was also pleasantly surprised to find an ironing board, iron and a hairdryer in the cupboard, all of which I made good use of during my stay. I found all staff members to be polite, professional, and extremely happy to go out of their way to accommodate each and every one of my service requests! On a final note, based on my experience I would definitely stay here again.

Stay did not get off to a good start. When checking in two receptionists asked me for photo ID. I am a British citizen therefore I do not have an ID card. Neither do I have a driving licence as I do not drive. I was then asked for my passport. I confess I did not have it on me. In never occurred to me that travelling from the Midlands to London for a night would necessitate me carrying my passport! The hotel was booked and prepaid via Expedia. Apparently the email I had with the booking details and confirmation number was not sufficient. Eventually after much debate a member of staff did accept the email as proof of the booking. Never before have I encountered this situation in a UK hotel. Perhaps there is a law that stipulates that British citizens must provide photo ID when checking into a British hotel? If there is then all the many hundreds of other hotels I have used in Britain over the years without photo ID have been breaking the law. On a more positive note the actual room I was eventually given was quite nice. As other reviewers have stated they are small but the room was perfectly adequate. Decor was pleasant. I was given a lower ground floor room which didn’t bother me. Now for another negative. It overlooked a tiny courtyard which unfortunately was covered in weeds and litter. What makes this hotel exceptional is the staff. Everyone I encountered, from check-in to check-out, were accommodating, helpful, and friendly. In addition, knowing that there was a 24/7 reception and even a 24/7 bar made me feel very comfortable and cared-for. The location is quite good. It was a five-minute walk up the street to the Earl's Court tube station and from there, I could get everyone. It was really pleasant not to have to stay in the hustle and bustle of Central London and still be within easy distance. Overall, very, very pleased with this hotel and my stay.

We enjoyed our stay overall, but there were a few inconveniences. After we had already checked in and settled into our room, we got a call informing us that we needed to switch rooms the next day. We’re not sure why this wasn’t mentioned at check-in. Since we were staying for five days, it made it hard to fully settle in from the beginning—especially because we were both feeling a bit under the weather. On the positive side, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great—walking distance to restaurants and with easy access to transportation. Mornington was a great stay. Location: around the corner from Earl's Court, which has a direct connection to basically everything including LHR. Lots of restaurants and stores within 1 block. The block that the hotel is on is quiet, with a lot of other hotels as well. Safe. I was hesitant because the hotel is part of the Best Western brand which (at least in the US) is lower quality, but it was actually great and those preconceived notions were proven wrong. Check-in: easy. Very small elevator, typical to old buildings in Europe. Room: I had a single room which was just a twin bed and minimal space to move around much, but as I don't hang out in my room this was fine. There was a writing table with stool which was nice to get things organized. A closet rod but no drawers. There is an in-room safe and a coffee pot hidden in a cabinet/drawer thing, as well as an iron/ironing board. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom: quite small, with a ship-style shower that a person with more girth may not be comfortable in. Shower amenities include soap, shampoo, and shower gel. (NOTE: No conditioner, lotion, nor blow dryer.) I did not get breakfast, as there are more reasonably priced options within one block, including Paul Patisserie, Pret, etc.

We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we entered the building. Staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful. Great location close to two entrances to Earls Court train station, ideal base for getting around. High street with shops and eating places at the end of the road. Check in felt rushed lacking customer care and there was no water in the rooms. The room itself was very clean and quiet, my wife and I enjoyed an excellent nights sleep and the breakfast was excellent value, piping hot served by a great hard working team. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Very handy and convenient for our London mini-break. Tube about 3 minutes away. M&S foodstore on the corner. 20 mins walk to museums. Very well appointed, good quality bathroom, queensize bed, furniture, etc. if a little compact and bijou (our aircon was broken, but didn't need it). Don't arrive at breakfast at the peak times or you may queue in reception, but the breakfast is definitely worth waiting for and all the staff were very friendly and efficient.

Fantastic, Friendly and Welcoming Staff From the moment we arrived for check-in until our departure today, the staff at The Mornington Hotel have been in a league of their own. I stay in hotels around 60 nights a year, and I have never experienced such genuine friendliness and helpfulness as I have at this hotel. The hotel is brilliantly located, tucked away on a quiet side street, yet only 3–4 minutes’ walk from Earl’s Court Underground station. Everything has been newly renovated. And yes, some of the rooms are small — mine was, which I knew when I booked — but my daughter was upgraded to a large, beautiful double room. The breakfast was fantastic, with à la carte eggs, omelettes, pancakes and much more. Just order what you like, and it is freshly prepared exactly the way you want it. Unlimited delicious espresso and other coffee drinks are a huge plus! 😊 The young and incredibly friendly hostess in the breakfast restaurant deserves a special mention. She is a story in herself — I sincerely hope the hotel knows what a valuable member of staff they have in her. My daughter and I give this hotel our strongest recommendation.
