I booked this hotel thinking there was parking and there wasn't. We spent hours driving back out of London to find somewhere to park for the weekend. Also, there was supposed to be a continental breakfast, but there was none on each of the mornings of our stay.

When booking the hotel it clearly stated it had free parking, on arrival we was told that parking was free after 17:30 so we had to then pay extra to park in another location. I wouldn’t have booked the hotel if we knew no parking was available.

Good base for a trip to Wembley- nightmare in an Uber though as all stuck going the same route - but you should know that they dont serve alcohol at the hotel bar - they have an outside terrace where people can freely smoke pipe though, if that's your kind of thing.

The walls need desperately repainted in our room, the mini fridge didnt work, and online it said there would be aircon in the rooms which was one of the reasons we chose it but only aircon was in the reception. And most disappointing, our room door didnt lock, we had to prop a chair against the door as the flimsy chain lock was no assurance enough

Overall definitely a bang for your buck, the neighborhood is okay, would not hang around there at night, but the TV didn't work, and the room was tiny. often the hookah lounge is loud. Plus is it less than a half mile from two subway lines, easy to get downtown, and next to a grocery store, Staff is ok, overall an alright experience, and if you are on a budget, and don't want to stay in a hostel and in a ok area with good transit access London Star is the perfect

When we arrived they couldn’t find our booking and then we had to wait for a room. We had to park away from the hotel until after 5.30pm. The bathroom had little ants all over the sink and then the toilet broke. In a positive note the staff were really friendly.

Arrived back at the hotel with my children from Wembley to find multiple people sat outside dining or smoking hookah pipes. Not conducive to a hotel environment. Woman who ‘greeted’ me on arrival demanded photo ID and appeared to want to refuse my entry when I explained I would not be allowed to email her my NHS photo pass.

The outside of the hotel did not look like the photo on here however, the reception and the rooms were really clean and modern. The Receptionist who checked us in was very friendly, welcoming and professional. The room itself was bright and clean. There was even a fridge so we could get some milk for coffee. The only downside was a lack of teaspoons in the room for making a drink. There were plenty of shops nearby and it’s on a good tfl route. The parking was very limited but luckily we were able to park on a nearby street as it was a weekend, otherwise the surrounding streets are all permit holders only. The beds weren’t particularly comfy but manageable for one or two nights. Lovely stay though, thank you.

There was nothing I liked about the hotel. If I could give it all zeros I would. The room key did not work easily- it was a struggle opening and locking the door. There was no bolt for the door. The carpet was not vacuumed well - dust was all around the edges. There was black mold in the shower. The walls and furnishings were in bad repair. There was an extension cord that had been fried. The ac did not work! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Our stay was overall neutral nothing bad or good. Although the carpet didnt look clean and the fridge had a funky smell. The room was spacious and bed was confortable. The room could be refurbished and cleaned better as there were dirty marks on the wall and some areas. Overall not bad stay

This hotel should not even be an option for people to stay. It is not only unclean but it is unsafe. My party was checked in and out in a matter of 20 minutes because of how disgusting the property was. Everything was dirty and the bathroom was covered in mold. The smell of the room made us all nauseous. DO NOTTTTT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve not got too many complaints as I chose this hotel because of the price. I have however got recommendations for the hotel: 1) Ensure any cobwebs are cleared as they were some around the window 2) The room to be checked prior to arrival as there was a dirty pillow case left on the floor Other than that the hotel could do with a bit of sprucing up. If you are looking for somewhere to just stay for the night to be able to visit London then the Star Hotel is the place.

Very dated and scruffy. Decor was 1980’s. Room had a smell of old cigarettes and grubby grease marks all over the walls. Reception staff was more interested in the phone than hotel customers. Overall location is good and room size is decent, but management is more interested in running a Shisha establishment downstairs (which was actually vibrant and busy). Surely for such a small hotel, management could update room by room and give this rough diamond a new shine?

Really not impressed with our stay. Looked like they only came in to make the beds and refresh the toiletries but didn’t actually clean anything. Brown stains on the walls, yellow stains on the bedding and red stains on the curtains. Also had crumbs in the bed too. We didn’t have any towels and when I asked for some we still didn’t get any. Didn’t even have a hand towel for when we washed our hands. There’s a hole in the bathroom door which they covered up with wallpaper, the carpet didn’t cover the whole of the floor, the bed frame wasn’t aligned and the kitchen area cupboards were dirty. It did the job because we needed a bed for the night but would not come here again. Was not worth £130 for one night…

Really disappointed with the state of the room, cobwebs everywhere, piles of dust, shower head broken and tv not working, even a whole in the wall with bare cable coming out ( very dangerous ) such a shame with a staff that is so lovely but the cleanliness is a real issue, and when contacted your being denied

Room was filthy! There was black mould up the bathroom wall and all I’m the shower, the vent in the bathroom was clogged with dirt. The whole room had cream walls and was covered in all sorts of stains, one we joked about looking like blood. I did complain to hotels.com but they couldn’t get through to the hotel after several attempts of contacting them. The rooms are cheap but probably because they aren’t cleaned! Avoid

This hotel served its purpose, but could have been better. We were a little caught off guard buy the many men outside the front entrance smoking their hookah pipes! The room was very small and dated. The toilet paper holder had been broken off and was in a hutch where you came in the door. The kids and I only slept there and the linens and towels were all clean, so that was a positive. We would not choose to stay here again, but it did serve it’s purpose.

Location was in a quiet area which was good. 10 minutes walk to the underground station and bus stops are nearby. The TV was not working. The mini bar was not working. You cannot see anything from the windows as they are tainted. And the bathroom was tiny

The entrance was difficult to identify. People were outside smoking shisha pipes which felt intimidating. There was no one at reception when I arrived. There was no remote control in the room. For a deluxe room, it was like a shoe box. It was tiny and up in the eves on the 3rd floor (with a double flight of stairs) in-between floors. One of the windows was "blocked off" because the wardrobe was infront of it which then meant you couldn't use the dressing table. The lift wasn't working and it was a long walk up. My partner arrived before I did and the reception he got was not good. He told the receptionist I had a bad knee and the stairs would be difficult for me to climb but they didn't show any compassion - especially as there was no mention of the lift being out of service at the time of booking. When my partner called to say there was no remote control in the room, they expected him to come down to reception to collect it. All round this trip was awful. I would never book here again - ever. Very disappointed!!

Sadly, this hotel was the worst part of an otherwise great weekend in London. Our plane was supposed to arrive at Heathrow around 10pm so I called the hotel in advance to inform them that we would arrive late at night. When we arrived at the hotel around half past midnight it took over an hour for the receptionist to give us a room key, due to some issue with the programming and no knowledge of where the master key was. We complained about this the day after and asked for some sort of compensation but we didn't hear anything back from them during our stay. The room was very warn down, wallpapers were torn and it was poorly cleaned as well with hair in the bathroom and som red lint all over the bed linen.
Sadly, this hotel was the worst part of an otherwise great weekend in London. Our plane was supposed to arrive at Heathrow around 10pm so I called the hotel in advance to inform them that we would arrive late at night. When we arrived at the hotel around half past midnight it took over an hour for the receptionist to give us a room key, due to some issue with the programming and no knowledge of where the master key was. We complained about this the day after and asked for some sort of compensation but we didn't hear anything back from them during our stay. The room was very warn down, wallpapers were torn and it was poorly cleaned as well with hair in the bathroom and som red lint all over the bed linen.

Arrived back at the hotel with my children from Wembley to find multiple people sat outside dining or smoking hookah pipes. Not conducive to a hotel environment. Woman who ‘greeted’ me on arrival demanded photo ID and appeared to want to refuse my entry when I explained I would not be allowed to email her my NHS photo pass.

We had a nice stay here. It was near many bus stops and close to shops, dining. The staff were all very nice and accommodating. We had the wrong charging adapters and they went out of their way to get us a couple to use while we stayed. Everyone was very kind.

The outside of the hotel did not look like the photo on here however, the reception and the rooms were really clean and modern. The Receptionist who checked us in was very friendly, welcoming and professional. The room itself was bright and clean. There was even a fridge so we could get some milk for coffee. The only downside was a lack of teaspoons in the room for making a drink. There were plenty of shops nearby and it’s on a good tfl route. The parking was very limited but luckily we were able to park on a nearby street as it was a weekend, otherwise the surrounding streets are all permit holders only. The beds weren’t particularly comfy but manageable for one or two nights. Lovely stay though, thank you.

Check in and check out was really easy. The hotel was easy to find from the tube station and there was a wetherspoons right around the corner. The room was a little run down but everything seemed clean. Perfect for what we needed.

I had a pleasant stay. The hotel does not look too nice from outside, but inside is definitely beautiful and more than a 3star. Has all the facilities, services, the area is safe and tidy, transports are close, the tube is a 10 mins walk from the hotel, a big supermarket is really close to the hotel and staff is super nice. Definitely worth it.

Overall definitely a bang for your buck, the neighborhood is okay, would not hang around there at night, but the TV didn't work, and the room was tiny. often the hookah lounge is loud. Plus is it less than a half mile from two subway lines, easy to get downtown, and next to a grocery store, Staff is ok, overall an alright experience, and if you are on a budget, and don't want to stay in a hostel and in a ok area with good transit access London Star is the perfect

I booked this hotel thinking there was parking and there wasn't. We spent hours driving back out of London to find somewhere to park for the weekend. Also, there was supposed to be a continental breakfast, but there was none on each of the mornings of our stay.

Good base for a trip to Wembley- nightmare in an Uber though as all stuck going the same route - but you should know that they dont serve alcohol at the hotel bar - they have an outside terrace where people can freely smoke pipe though, if that's your kind of thing.

Very dated and scruffy. Decor was 1980’s. Room had a smell of old cigarettes and grubby grease marks all over the walls. Reception staff was more interested in the phone than hotel customers. Overall location is good and room size is decent, but management is more interested in running a Shisha establishment downstairs (which was actually vibrant and busy). Surely for such a small hotel, management could update room by room and give this rough diamond a new shine?

staff on reception quite blunt and rude. the fridge in my room was not working made everything in there absolutely roasting. the fan in the room was falling apart had to keep reattaching the base but the fan wouldnt sit up straight it kept flopping over. lack of brightness in the room. everything was clean none the less

Very nice hotel, the only thing that really let it down was the exterior. Beds were lovely and comfortable, bathroom was impeccable. Would definitely book again.
