Hilton Reading Hotel

Had a lovely time, the bed was super comfy and a huge kingsize! The room was spotless clean. Leisure facilities are great. I will definitely stay again.

bed too small in a room big enough to cope with a larger one, excessive cost to park at the hotel when a guest.

Great place to stay friendly staff and fresh looking hotel. Only downfall was the charge for parking in th me car park, considering when booking it stated as free parking.. so double check before booking..

We stayed at the hotel as we were attending an event . The hotel room was clean and comfortable and good value. The event went very smoothly and the food was amazing. The pool and gym were very good.

Be warned - they close the bar at 1030, even on a Friday, with no warning. I had always thought Hiltons were proper hotels, but there you go.

The bath was very nice, fridge and water complemented the room and bed was very comfy, we had a great nights sleep, the leisure facilities were good and we got to use the running and rowing machines as well as the pool and sauna and steam room twice whilst we were there for only one night, check out is at great late time of 12 which is also a bonus

Clean and comfortable, beware of the £15 daily parking charge from Jan 2025.

The area outside the hotel smells like a sewer think it was build around a old sewer

Very clean and well presented hotel. Restaurant and reception staff were really friendly and welcoming. The room was perfectly adequate for our stay.

We had a fantastic stay at the Hilton Reading, very comfortable bed, rom was spoltless clean.

We were told to wait 10 minutes to check in, we ended up having to wait an hour and 20 minutes. The breakfast was good although the veggie sausages were awful. The pillows are unsupportive and way too soft, we were told they were the only ones. The room smelt damp and of mildew and we were unable to open the window.

The staff were very friendly, polite and extremely helpful. The cleanliness of hotel was excellent. The rooms were great with all the facilities in good working order.

This Hilton hotel in reading was an excellent choice and it was very clean and well maintained , the staff were very polite and professional and checking and check out was very easy . I would highly recommend this hotel for your stays

Stay was all good There were a couple of down sides to the room! There was no kettle in the room so not able to have a normal tea or coffee unless you went down to the restaurant, and there was no tv guide on the tv. Not sure if it was just our room or this was standard across all the rooms. Apart from these small niggles the hotel was great and happily stay there again next time I visit the area I would recommend

I have raised these two matters previously but nothing has changed. In the past the rooms had 500ml bottles of water. Now there are are two small 250ml cans. Water in cans tastes flat. It is probably cheaper I query whether it is more sustainable - a bottle is nore likely to be rccled than can mixed in the room waste. Secondly the rooms have no searchable TV quide. This means you have to scroll through each channel and try to work out what is showing. This seems bizarre for a Freeview TV service. It does not add to comfort.> I have raised both thes issues formally with staff for over a year. Other than this I highly recommend this hotel

Excellent apart from the bed . Mattress was far too firm for my wife. Ok for me but it was very very firm.

There was a party going on downstairs, i was unable to sleep due to the noise so i left halfway through the night!

Room was located near to the event room. Lots of noise until 12.30am on both nights making it impossibke ti get to sleep.

Very large comfortable beds. Pillows could be firmer. The usb charger did not work. Amazing breakfast selection.

Hotel was nice, but for a Hilton I expected more from the rooms. Shower was rubbish, no sockets near bed. Food was okay, expensive. Breakfast buffet not overly good quality ingredients.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately there was an event at the hotel on the night of our stay with loud music beneath our room until early hours. Not what I wanted for family stay. Called reception but nothing able to be done.

Stay regularly however the room always cold and heating never working correctly After 8 years of staying unless over a certain level now charging for car parking despite out on its own total profit making and will probably force me not to use again out of principle

Didn't have breakfast. Room was very comfortable and toiletry products of decent quality. Excellent service from front desk,especially Daniel. We needed a stopover for a family function in Reading and this was perfect

issue on check in - not dealt with well and only addressed really after having to make a complaint. not customer focused and really not appreciated after long day travelling. still waiting for charging reversal. would not stya again which is a same as rooms are nice and food is good.

Bar staff very unhelpful and rude. Hotel overall average. Rooms dated. Reception and bar area fresh and clean. Booked 5 rooms and would not say very good value for money.

Check in and check out was seamless with very pleasant and helpful staff so much nicer than doing it on an app!!

What an amazing experience we had at the Hilton Reading. Jana snd the reception staff ensured our stay to celebrate my Dads 80th Birthday was absolutely perfect. We had 7 rooms for the weekend. Jana had arranged balloons and cake in my parent’s suite. The restaurant staff were superb too, great service, with a seating plan and delicious food. I would highly recommend this hotel. The leisure club staff and manager were pleasant, friendly and welcoming. Thank you Hilton Reading - Jayne Lawson

Easy and cheap parking, friendly and efficient reception. All areas very clean and comfortable. Food and service in the bar and restaurant excellent. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Very clean and modern. Excellent staff. Problem in room dealt with swiftly. Too far out of shopping areas. Very relaxing rooms and communal areas. Taxi needed to go into Reading.

A one night stay which was very comfortable. Reception were helpful on advising the times of the local bus service.

Good for the half marathon

Great welcome from receptionist on Friday 5 January at check in and again from the same lady on Saturday morning. Car park was free in January so a bonus for us. Breakfast was £15/ person and was fabulous, a well stocked buffet. Room was clean and quiet albeit hotel was not busy. Ideal stop off just off M4 to break up our trip to London at night.

One of the best hotels in Reading. Staff are friendly and they have parking for guests which is very convenient

Alway try and stay at the Hilton when staying over in Reading. Comfy, convenient, easy parking and Excellant food in the restaurant.

Just one night as a stopover into London. I’ll start with the negative first. The room rate is very reasonable but good and drink is excruciatingly expensive for what it is but I guess it is a hotel so you pay the price. On the positive side, the room was quiet, comfortable, clean and well appointed. Service throughout the hotel was very good and the health centre was good too. I would definitely stay here again but probably plan ahead and eat out

The charge for drinks was extortionate ie £18 for a brandy &coke .. Asked for a Bacardi non brand also no Malibu. £4 for a SMall bottle of lemonade..

Having stayed in Hotels in and around Reading for the last 34 months, I though it was time to give the Hilton a go. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was very good, although it lacked 13A sockets. Food quality was good, although somewhat expensive and there's a 'service charge' which I didn't see mentioned anywhere. Sticking to the topic of food, after checking in on Monday evening I looked at the Menu and saw several tasty options. However, when seated in the Restaurant I was given a single A4 sheet with a limited menu. I asked for the more expansive menu, only to be told that it was unavailable because the menu was being changed. I opted for a sirloin steak at £31, which was, to be honest, excellent! On Tuesday evening I was given the 'new' full menu, but wasn't really inspired, so ordered the sirloin again, only to find that the price had now risen to £34!! On Wednesday evening they didn't have what I ordered, which, considering it was a 'new' menu, is pretty poor. And now the real disappinment ... On Tuesday evening, whilst in the Hotels underground car park my vehicle was broken in to and several items were stolen. Together with the damage, it's cost over £1500.00. On Wednesday I enquired about CCTV footage, but received a shake of the head, shrug of the shoulders, and that was that. At checkout on Friday morning I was asked if everything had been okay with my stay, to which I replied, "Not really." I explained why, but I didn't get any response whatsoever!

Food at oxbo bar was terrible

A great stay. We had interconnecting rooms for our small boys and we also brought our dog. Lovely pool. Amazing breakfast buffet.
