Apartment was clean and well equipped, nice light space. The roof terrace was good for sitting in the sun in the afternoon, and is very private (although the view is just the roof next door rather than out to the city). Beds were very comfortable, only thing was because it's a top floor apartment the bedrooms got very hot in the morning sun

Great location and nice if rather Spartan studio. (With no coffee machine but many egg cups) It does have an outdoor space but again, rather basic. I was seduced by the images on their page, which seemed to offer greater luxury. For the price, we thought our studio was quite expensive. The area was great with easy access to key locations. Staff were helpful and sorted the WiFi issue. Towels were clean but hadn’t been dried properly, so had a fusty smell.

An unusual old terraced building with door opening onto street with comfortable accommodation on 1st & 2nd floors. Right by city wall so good views.Clean and well presented. Steep stairs and sloping/uneven floors may be an issue for people with mobility issues or small children. Sleeps 6 but that would be a squash in the sitting room. Decent towels & toiletries.

Efficient check in - but if you are arriving by car it’s a walk or a drop off one person whilst someone else parks option. The apartment is over 3 floors which means it feels spacious but the stairs are quite old and uneven and therefore unsuitable for people with mobility issues/ very small children. Bathroom was very clean and nice but toilet between upto 6 was a challenge. Beds were ok not very good mattress quality but had a topper which was an improvement. Didn’t use kitchen so can’t comment on this. What sets this place apart is location - set literally on the original city wall steps away from 500 years of history - you can literally imagine soldiers on the ramparts right next to your window. It is also walking distance to shops, attractions, restaurants, bars and the Minster

The appartment was in a brilliant location with access to a fantastic walk around the city wall directly on the doorstep. The appartment suited us well with a spacious layout and a practical well stocked kitchen. Nicely decorated and presented and was clean and easy to keep clean. Very convenient as could park close by in Monk Car park and walk easily to all the attractions and shops that we wanted to visit. We really enjoyed our stay in York and would definitely stay there again and can recommend to other guests.

Very nice apartment in superb location - out of the front door and straight into the shopping streets. We stayed in 'Viking quarters' which is on 2nd floor above the Goodramgate Apartments shop/office. Apartment is accessed via a side door and up 2 flight of stairs - no problem. We arrived early about 1.30pm but we were able to leave our bags in the apartment and we were given the keys for access after 3pm, after they had finished cleaning.

Good location next to city wall. No conditioner is provided. Rooms and toilet ventilation are not good. No free parking lot is provided so required 5-8 mins walk. Overall condition of the property and furnitures are a bit old and uncomfortable, like sofa bed and carpet!

Apartment was very noisy You can hear absolutely everything from people walking up and down stairs and people on top banging doors and walking about. If your looking for quietness to sleep then this is the place The apartment itself is good but could do with a freshen up with paint and noticed a lot of cobwebs on ceilings Comfy bed and great area Would I stay here again ? No due to it being very noisy

The shower was so slick and slippery you had to put a bath mat down in the shower so you wouldnt slip and crash thru the glass, and i am an athletic person. Thatowels were musty smelling when you dried off and they only gave you one. The shower knobs you could barely turn for the temperature. The place was updated recently and decorated nicely.

Absolutley amazing stay at the Tower Mews Apartment - couldn't have asked for more! The apartment was spottless, beds were super comfy and the attention to detail around the apartment was second to none! Wouldnt hesitate a return visit!

Used to stay in these apartments a long time ago , nothing has changed, even tho it says refurbished everything is the same apart from a few new cushions, I found bottle tops in the drawers and the kitchen sink was stained brown. I will never return there’s too many nicer places to stay in York . Bed is small and uncomfortable. Towels are old. Carpet was dirty. Curtains let light through couldn’t sleep. Security deposit required even for 1 night , which I think should be used with discretion. Unless you need the space for groups in the big apartments, don’t bother.

Location was great and the apartment was charming. The window seemed to leak so there was cold air and it would have been nice if there was some salt and pepper in the kitchen. But over all it was pretty well equipped.

I cannot recommend this place enough. So convenient, walkable and really in the heart of the best of York. Plenty of kitchen space so you can actually share meals together. If I had to mention any drawback the wifi was not the best. If I am ever back in York, ( which I hope to be the case ♥️) I will definitely book with this property.

Great building in a great location. On the Wall a few blocks from The Shambles and The Minster and other interests including food. Lots of room, nice kitchen, and it was great to have a person there when we arrived. The beds were a little bit soft.

You cannot get more central in York. And probably not more noisy. Well equipped apartment but you could hear the neighbours 24/7. Slightly off putting. But the staff and location is almost worth the noise. We shall return. And opt for a bigger flat next time.

This is definitely not an accommodation for six. The pullout couch is terrible but no way could two people fit on it. Our 10 year old twins wouldn’t even sleep on it and they have slept on maaaany pull out couches while traveling. They opted to just sleep on the couches as is. Luckily we had kids and no other adults with us. The area is great and walkable but also very noisy at night. Music and partying until 2am. Not the fault of the owners, but just be aware when staying with kids.

The space was lovely and clean though no AC during a heatwave made the rooms steamy. The windows were large in the third floor walk-up Jorvick apt, but the cords on the fans were too short to place them in front of the window. The twin beds had no sheets.

This property is very unique and interesting. You feel like you’re staying in a very old building that has been renovated. The kitchen is well equipped with all amenities. The location to city center is amazing. So close and walkable. The hardest part was finding the reception to get the key. The sofabed is also very small and uncomfortable. We have tall teenagers that had to share this sofabed and they barely fit and said it was so uncomfortable. I would only suggest this sofa bed for small, little children. Maybe 10 and under.

Exceptionally appointed apartment in a beautiful building and in an excellent location. Very close to riverside bars/restaurants and Shambles. Customer Service and comms over and above expectations. Including advising of early checkin being available free of charge. Will stay here again when next in York

Great location and communication. We were a bit confused about the actual location of the apartment as they have so many in the area but the team were really helpful and sorted everything out. Would definitely stay again, it was lovely and clean and easy to come and go.

Our stay at Turpins Loft was brilliant. Great location, only 2 minutes from the Shambles and next door to Clifford’s Tower. Easy to get the keys and check in, not much communication needed prior to arrival. The place was clean, warm and modern with everything you needed for a short or longer stay. No issues with noise apart from the occasional traffic sounds at night, but nothing to keep you awake. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

Check-in was not as streamlined as it could be. Had to phone 24 hrs before check-in, but should just provide address to office where keys can be picked up. Sloping floors were a bit of a turn off. Otherwise clean and functional.

Staff was over the Top and very resourceful. Nicole was very knowledgeable of the area and gave us great Historical insight. Anything I asked for it was taken care of immediately. The room was large and location was perfect with walking distance to everything.

The location is fabulous, the apartment is fantastic and amenities great. The beds were not great, very uncomfortable. They advertise luggage storage and before we checked in they stored our luggage and then took it to our room when the room was ready, that was awesome, but when we asked for luggage storage on our check out we were told we would have to pay. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

This property was beautiful and is in a wonderful location. It was walking distance from everything we wanted to see. Check-in was a breeze. We will definitely stay here again!

Very nice apartment in superb location - out of the front door and straight into the shopping streets. We stayed in 'Viking quarters' which is on 2nd floor above the Goodramgate Apartments shop/office. Apartment is accessed via a side door and up 2 flight of stairs - no problem. We arrived early about 1.30pm but we were able to leave our bags in the apartment and we were given the keys for access after 3pm, after they had finished cleaning.

Everything was really nice. We were there for just one night and it satisfied our needs. Very good neighborhood on the edge of downtown York. Two minute walk to the Minster and tons of restaurants and shops.

Our stay at Turpins Loft was brilliant. Great location, only 2 minutes from the Shambles and next door to Clifford’s Tower. Easy to get the keys and check in, not much communication needed prior to arrival. The place was clean, warm and modern with everything you needed for a short or longer stay. No issues with noise apart from the occasional traffic sounds at night, but nothing to keep you awake. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

This property is very unique and interesting. You feel like you’re staying in a very old building that has been renovated. The kitchen is well equipped with all amenities. The location to city center is amazing. So close and walkable. The hardest part was finding the reception to get the key. The sofabed is also very small and uncomfortable. We have tall teenagers that had to share this sofabed and they barely fit and said it was so uncomfortable. I would only suggest this sofa bed for small, little children. Maybe 10 and under.

Easy check in and out. Staff were friendly. Excellent location. Great for 4 to 6 people . Sofa bed was not the comfiest. Beware, parking nearby costs quite a lot for the day which we didn't expect. Overall, we would stay again as it's in the perfect location for a visit to York.
