Property was very nice & clean and staff was top notch, would have gave a perfect 5 but the elevator broke down after a bad storm for the last 2 days and stairwell door was outside the hotel, so we had to walk up and down the flooded stairwell, and outside in the rain to get to it, although they accommodated us as much as they could with umbrellas and offered to bring our luggage down, I felt like the elevator was a bit jumpy on the Fritz even before the storm so it may could have been avoided, although the inspection for the elevator was dated fall of 2024. Definitely will be back if the elevator is fixed!

Cute Boutique style hotel with nice rooftop deck & pool. Eddie was very helpful at checkin. I had mentioned it was my husband’s birthday & they had decorated the room which really made an impression on my husband. I appreciate the amazing customer service & the fact they went the extra mile to add thoughtful touch to our trip. Spacious & clean rooms.

Don't get me wrong, it is a good property. It is just that their desire to be lean has created some cracks in their service. On the last night of our stay, their elevator stopped working (as was the case a day before), and then elevator had some electric issues so it cause fire alarm to go out every 20 minutes post 10-11 PM (for three times). Although the alarm was a false alarm, there was no senior person on the hotel to take care of guests. 911 had to come and when even then as nothing came out of it, we tried calling and found out that all senior folks had already left for the night. Complete mess for 1-2 hours.

We had an enjoyable 8 day stay at Local House. The inhouse restaurant was very good. The hotel is only one block from the beach. The staff was very professional. The area surrounding the hotel is very quiet and safe. The rooftop pool is top notch. We will be going back again.

Overall the stay was great. Extremely close to the beach. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean. Food at the restaurant was decent. My only issue is that because they don’t have a physical person on duty after a certain hour, you have no one monitoring the floors or building. There was someone banging on a room door down the hall from us for hours because they couldn’t get into the room. Either the person inside was asleep or didn’t want to let them in. It was extremely loud and echoing throughout the floor, disruptive to our sleep and other guests on the floor were very annoyed and upset. There was no one available to tell or to come handle the situation. I would prefer someone be onsite. Also, if you arrive after 10pm, you have to call and someone has to instruct you on how to get to your room key and it involves carrying your luggage up some stairs if you don’t have anyone with you to watch it so that you can come back to open the main door and use the elevator.

Staff extremely service minded! Great rooms with lots of space and good products. The rooftop had a swimingpool and lounge areas and its close to the beach with free sunbeds. The food was also really good as was the service and drinks. Close to resturants and 2 km to the biggest shopping street. Many outdoor gyms close by and easy to rent bikes. Would definitely come back!!

The hotel is very well located in South Beach. It's what i would call a boutique hotel. The rooms are nice and spacious but..... They are little outdated. If they could just upgrade a bit it would be fabulous. They have an pool on the upper deck. But when you order a wine they only will serve your bottle in plastic cups. So that didnt make it attracting to order a 120usd bottle of wine. The restaurant was nice and food was good. The staff was very friendly and service minded. So no complaints about that. Overall, a very nice hotel but needs a little bit of upgrade..

Very nice property overall. Great location close to beach, very friendly staff, clean rooms, and quiet area but close to all the nightlife and restaurants you could want. Beautiful rooftop area. Only negatives were the shower and the elevator. Shower was finicky to adjust temperature and sometimes took 3-5 minutes to get hot water to arrive. Elevator was slow and made noises that didn't inspire confidence. On our last day it broke down, and the host showed us how to access the (locked) stairs with a numeric code as a workaround. Elevator was fixed quickly but we opted to use the stairs after that to avoid the risk of getting stuck. All that said I'd still recommend the place and would probably stay there again.

The staff was really nice and the restaurant food was food. Size of the room and location are excellent. The carpet in the room was filthy and made my feet black. The bathroom was nice but had poor lighting- and the floor in there became dirty because the carpet was so dirty and that bothered me. They were very accommodating for my late check out and the staff seems very nice. As many details as I liked about the hotel, the dirty carpet still gives me the chills.

Very clean and cute room. Need more towels. Very good location close to beach and many nice restaurants. The first guy who did our check-in was very nice but the other guy who was working at the lobby on our last day knocked our room to put us out when I was taking shower. He didn’t know we paid for late check-out. It was not nice. Otherwise, we enjoyed staying.

What a gem in the heart of SoBe AND far away enough from all the party-people you don’t want to hear going to bed at all hours of the morning! The location is 5 stars! Quiet, clean, so convenient to beach and shops and great dining options. Maman was our morning ritual. Excellent manager, Eddie was a joy, super helpful and accommodating. The whole hotel was spotless and well maintained. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a memorable stay!

This property needs a major makeover. Everything looks pretty old. I’d say it’s no more than a 2.5-3 star at best. The room I stayed in had constant huge noise from their garage door opening and closing, starts at 7am and through out the day. No way to sleep in. The front desk girl was very friendly and kind, she did her best to try to switch, and not much option was there. The only thing I liked was its distance to the beach.

Lovely room, beautifully decorated. Property is just south enough of the center of the action on Ocean Drive, which was perfect for us. Staff is super-attentive and friendly! Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 3 nights here! Overall really happy with our stay, everything was clean, lots of towels, nice pool and rooftop. The rooms don’t have much of a view, we had room 3 which had a nice corner view of the street and you could see the sunrise from the corner and a bit of the ocean. Very no frills and clean, felt very comfortable and if I were traveling solo, I would stay here. When it gets windy it’s a bit loud and there was some loud people on the first night that you could hear out on the street and from the other rooms. The restaurant was good, staff were friendly and I would recommend it here! Close to the main area of south beach, but quieter and close to the beach front. Can be a bit loud from the other people/the street, no major ocean views, more simple of a boutique hotel for what the price was. I liked it though and will stay here again. The rooftop pool is 10/10 for the vibes.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Local House. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The rooftop pool area is small but very relaxing! The location is perfect-a short 2 minute walk to the beach and close to the nightlife, but not so close that it is noisy or disruptive! Our only criticism is that if the room is ready, you should be allowed to check in as most hotels do. We were told at 2:05pm that our room was ready, but if we wanted to check in we would have to pay $25, as check in time is 3pm. That did not sit right with us! Also one other issue was on Saturday evening the hotel closed the rooftop pool area at 6pm for a private event, with no formal notification to guests. Other than that, we loved it. Restaurant was great and staff very pleasant! We would stay here again for sure!

The WiFi wasn’t working in the room and the staff didn’t care to or couldn’t fix it. We asked twice and then had to resort to sitting in the lobby for WiFi. The rug in the room needs to be deep cleaned as it left dark stains on the feet. Otherwise the room cleaning was good and the staff was nice enough. Services seemed to be centered around the lobby restaurant and the hotel felt like an extra, also due to the “self service” check in and out. South beach is easily accessible by walking so it’s a good hotel if you want to explore that area by foot.

My only complaint was that I left an item behind and had msgd to ask about it as I was going to return and get it. An employee responded saying that they would check and get back to me however no one ever got back to me. So I wasn’t given an opportunity to get my property back.

The Local House is a charming boutique hotel, and our stay was truly wonderful. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The location is ideal—peaceful yet just steps from the beach. The hotel provides convenient beach amenities, including towels, two chairs, and an umbrella. There’s also a restaurant on the ground floor and a rooftop lounge where we enjoyed relaxing in the evenings with a pleasant breeze. The concierge was excellent and so helpful took care of anything we needed and answered all our questions. The room was great and pretty quiet considering its location. But it at the quieter end of the main road. Great people watching at happy hour. The upstairs pool was fun for my kid. Would def go again.

Can't recommend the hotel enough. It is perfectly located - on south beach but just off the hustle and bustle. Easy access to the beach with a dedicated section with loungers for hotel guests. Staff members were amazing and rooms were large and extremely comfortable. Valet parking is a breeze and there are additional lots nearby. Street parking is usually available nearby, but not cheaper than just valeting the car. Would definitely recommend the hotel for anyone planning on staying in south beach.

The location is perfect. 1 block from the hustle and bustle of Oceans main strip making it close to the action but far enough from the sounds/traffic. The property is very quaint and cute, offering all the things you could need during your stay. For us it has just what we needed with a late check in/check out options, a pool that sits in the sun, a lobby restaurant/bar, steps from the beach which includes beach chairs, clean rooms and hallways, etc etc. Staff were very accessible and available to us during our entire stay, answering any question we had swiftly with from being available in the lobby or through their mobile app. We have visited Miami many times but have yet to find out "spot" until now.

This place is amazing. It’s a little hotel above their restaurant with a roof top pool. Gives out great Miami vibes. Anatolia, the manager was very thoughtful and provided excellent services. Eddy, that guy was also amazing. We had breakfast there and the food was superb! Location is right on Ocean Dr. and just steps away from the beach. Highly recommend!

Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Great food and drinks in the restaurant (try the passion fruit margarita!). If I had to nit-pick then I'd say it would have been nice to have an outlet near the bed and the shower controls took a little playing around to figure out the rain head vs regular and hot water.

We really enjoyed our stay. If you are looking to stay in South Beach, you can't go wrong. A few blocks away from the busy nightlife of Ocean Drive. Easy to walk. No need for a car. We ubered from the airport and ubered around miami for relatively cheap (way cheaper than parking). Rooftop pool is small but perfect for sun bathing for a few hours. Only a few lounge chairs however, they should add a few more. Breakfast/bunch downstairs is super fresh and healthy and delicious. Highly recommend!

We loved everything about this hotel and plan to come again!! The roof top pool and lounge area is amazing. The restaurant is delicious and provides great service. The concierge checking us in had the best vibes :) room was clean and bed was so comfy! The cleaning staff was excellent and friendly. Everything smelled so good! Couldn’t ask for more!!

The property is located close to the beach and has a funky, cool 'boutique-y hotel' vibe going which really works, situated so close to the beach. The restaurant and patio is magical and a major selling point for the hotel. The staff were all extremely accommodating.
